Rui fiddled with nuts and screws at his desk, paper strewn carelessly around it. Soon, the task became boring, and he instead picked up a pencil to spin in his hand.
Tock.
After a while of spinning, he sighed and set down his pencil. It just made him more bored.
Tick.
...it's kinda lucky I ended up in a troupe with such nice people.
Tock.
It just started out as Mizuki and I, bit then Saki joined up, and then Kohane...
She even became our Chairman. Who knew that would happen?
Tick.
"Geh, my clock's so loud..." he mused, "though, I was the one who made it. I'm sure there a way to make it quieter."
Tock.
He strode over to hie wall and took the clock.
"...at least I'm not bored anymore."
"Rui! Did you sleep at all last night?!"
He yawned and rubbed at his eyes. "...maybe?"
"Rui!!" Saki berated, "you need to be getting more sleep! How are we going to perform well without you sleeping?! Kohane, you tell him!"
"Uh..." she frantically turned to Saki, then back to Rui, "as our Chairman, I say you've got to go to sleep earlier, for the good of our shows..?"
Mizuki chimed in. "And for the good of you, too!"
"What they said."
Rui grinned. "Aw... you guys..!"
"Why so sappy?"
He put on his fake dramatic voice. "My bestest-est ever friends care about me! Awww! They tell me to get enough sleep and-"
"Come on, Rui! Thats just what friends do!"
"Not like I'd know!"
Mizuki scoffed and gave his shoulder a playful shove. "We're not in middle school anymore, ya idiot. We actually have friends now."
"Yep! And we're the really cool friends who are supportive and kind and cool again and wont leave you-"
"I think he gets the point, Saki," Kohane interrupted, albeit affectionately.
Rui chuckled. "That, I do."
