Rui wasn't one to make mistakes so often- wait, no. He wasn't one to make mistakes so often in inventing.

He had to be careful, after all, so as to not hurt anybody. Nobody would want that, would they?

Good testing was required to make sure none of his troupemates died or left him or hit their heads really hard and got a severe case of amnesia.

Among other things.

So that was that.

Everything else though? Well, no one ever said total, absolute perfection was fun, did  they?

(He didn't think anyone had ever said messing up a lot was fun either, but eh.)

"....guys."

Kohane's figure immediately deflated. "What did you do this time around?"

"I didn't blow up anything!"

"Good. Now what did you do?"

He smirked. "Take a guess."

"We are not doing this right now-"

"Ooh, ooh!" Mizuki raised their hand, "you destroyed something?"

"No, wait!" Saki took a guess. "You lost something really important?"

"You walked in on a love confession!"

"You got a love confession?"

"You dropped something off the school roof while sitting there at lunch?"

"You killed my brother? You better not have-"

"..." he stood there with a deadpan look on hsi face. "...why were all the guesses of bad things..?"

"Getting a love confession isn't bad!"

"I know, but still..."

"So," Mizuki said, "was it something bad?"

"...yeah it was."

"Rui!"

"...I messed up the mechanics of one of our robots for the show..!"

"Oh." Kohane blinked. "Don't worry, Rui, you can build another one...!"

"The show is this weekend!"

Mizuki hummed. "Then.... we can help you! We'll help you fix it!"

"But..." Saki hesitated,"we don't know anything about robots?"

"We do now! Rui, give us your instructions and we'll do the best we can!"

His eyes sparkled. "Aw, you guys..!"

"...what if we just make it worse?"

"Sh, shh, Kohane! We won't!"

"Well then..." he said, "come to my house tomorrow after school?"

"Sir yes Sir!"

"Yay, we finally get to see his house!"
