Chapter 9: Let's be happy

"Huh?! This is your last day here?" Without realizing it, Jihoon's hands were already on Hyunsuk's shoulders.

"Are you eavesdropping on my conversation?" Hyunsuk tries to shake Jihoon's hands off of his shoulder.

"Please answer me, Hyunsuk-ssi." Jihoon tightens his grip. Jihoon knew even though they are from the same country, if they parted away now, the possibility of them meeting again is almost none. He wanted to spend more time with Hyunsuk.

The looks on Jihoon's face surprised Hyunsuk. It feels like his tears will drop any second. Weird, but he feels guilty to see the face Jihoon makes.

A few minutes ago, he have a phone conversation with Hyuna. His sister told him that her schedule is free and able to join Hyunsuk for his next trip. Since he had already made a promise to her, Hyunsuk agreed to have a trip with her to his next destination.

Per Hyuna's schedule, Hyunsuk booked a ticket straight to Thailand and makes a phone call to confirm his flight will coming soon. Jihoon who happened to just arrived at their meeting point get to hear the conversation and strangely acted up.

After their meeting in Jihoon's hotel room last time, Hyunsuk agreed to be his model for as long as he stay in London. After all, he is satisfied with Jihoon's work though he always drained his energy. When it comes to work, Hyunsuk has no complaints about Jihoon. He was really devoted to his job. None of the outcomes ever dissatisfied Hyunsuk.

Hyunsuk scratches his not-itchy head. "Yes."

"Can you bring me with you?" Jihoon's grips lose as he said those words. He thinks this is his last resort to be with Hyunsuk. He still can't bear to part away with Hyunsuk yet. The days they spent together in London were not enough for Jihoon to get to know more about Hyunsuk. He wants to know more about him. What's the likes and dislikes, what are his comfort food, music, and places. He wants to know all about Hyunsuk.

Hyunsuk raises his right eyebrow upon hearing Jihoon. He takes a glimpse at Jihoon. Wonder what did he mean.  Weird, Hyunsuk didn't feel mad hearing Jihoon's demand. Instead, he makes some countable thoughts.

Wait, why am I considering it?

"Why do you want to come with me?"

Shit, I run my mouth.

Jihoon was taken aback by Hyunsuk's words. To be honest, Jihoon also can't find any reason for him to be with Hyunsuk. After all, Hyunsuk probably just thinks of him as a nuisance. Jihoon stays silent. Isn't it weird if he said that he doesn't want to be parted away from him? How could he easily say that he's in love with Hyunsuk if that surely gonna drift them away farther?

While thinking about it, Jihoon could feel another prickly pain in his heart. The pain he never knew he will felt once he fall in love.

Seeing Jihoon stays silent, Hyunsuk fixed his sit. He crossed his leg and started jotting something in his small notebook.

That's one of Hyunsuk's habits Jihoon could notice. Hyunsuk always jotting something down in his notebook every time he goes to a new place, has a meal, when looks at spectacular views, and even when looks at the sky. He jotted it all down.

Jihoon wonders what it is about but he never wants to talk about it. Knowing Hyunsuk, he's pretty sure the guy wouldn't tell him anything even if he's asked.

After being done jotting the notes, Hyunsuk closes the notebook. He throws glances to the front.

"I am not going to Korea."

"Huh?"

"Well, I did plan my trip to a few countries across the world. Since I am at it, why don't I just do it all?"

Jihoon seems surprised by Hyunsuk. To Jihoon, Hyunsuk is a bit surprising. There's no way you could tell what's in his mind. He seems calm outside but there's a time he would frown. It's like walking on the mine. Take a wrong step, you're dead.

"So, where do you plan on going?" Jihoon bravely asks Hyunsuk. He peeked at Hyunsuk's side. Curious about the latter's reaction to his question. While he is sure Hyunsuk will ignore him or scold him for being nosy.

"Thailand."

Jihoon let out a heavy sigh hearing Hyunsuk's answer. "I know it, but I... Eh, what?!" There he goes again, Jihoon thought. Another side of Hyunsuk is that he is not sure when he can get used to it.

"What?" Hyunsuk gives Jihoon an eye-side. Loud.

"You're really answering me?!" Jihoon who is still shocked by everything going on suddenly raises his voice. Not just his voice, he even rises from his seat. It's like he almost can't believe that Hyunsuk would answer him nicely.

"WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ME OF, HUH?!" Hyunsuk feels a bit irritated with Jihoon's actions and also raises his voice. He is sure that Jihoon already thinks of him as a spoiled brat that being rude to everyone.

"No, no, no. Sorry, sir. I just didn't imagine that you would tell me. Hahaha. I am glad." Jihoon's eyes make the half-crescent moon shape as he smiles.

Tsk. Why are you making such a happy face?

Jihoon thinks this is the time to get on Hyunsuk's right side. He sits again in his seat with such a delighted face.

"Thailand huh? I've been there once for our research materials. We are staying for two weeks. I can't say that I know well about the places, but I know the highlight points of the country. I can be your guide and also your photographer." Again, Jihoon just try his fortune. He prepared for whatever comes from Hyunsuk's mouth.

"I've never been there once but I always wanna go there. I never have got time to spend my time leisurely. Even with promises I made, I never make it. I ended up being dragged with my world. I wonder if it's right for me to enjoy this alone."

Hyunsuk's head lowered. Both of his hands clasped together on his lap.

"Hyunsuk-ssi, you said you will enjoy it all alone? You have me, alright? We can share the joy. Let me tell you about my life principle; as long as we are alive in this world, we should enjoy our life to the fullest. So we won't die with regret. You know sir, I am thankful to my family that they are always supporting me to do whatever I want. I know I am not in the right place to say this but I want you to be happy doing what you want, sir. Let's be happy always! To THAILAND!!!"

Jihoon's words are a little bit touching his heart. He never gives any thought to it. As far as he is alive, he just thinking to strike forward to the future— doing what he should be doing. He raises his head.

Jihoon's eyes sparkled. The reflection of the brownish sky reflected in his eyes. He is blazed with happiness. Hyunsuk is a little bit moved by Jihoon's words. He must have a good family that he has that kind of personality.

"What are you? A kid?"

"Huh? A kid? How dare you call me a kid? I am pretty sure I am older than you."

Hyunsuk feels like a big sword was stabbed into his chest. "Why do you think so?" He gritted his teeth trying to control his anger. Exactly when he almost said something decent about him.

"Uhm, because?"

THUD!

Hyunsuk's fist landed straight on Jihoon's stomach before he gave Jihoon the website of his business profile. Jihoon who is still crouched enduring the pain takes the phone.

"WHAAAAAAAAT?!"
