Hyunsuk is now already in the concert hall of the Sydney Opera House. He's dressed in a simple black turtleneck sweater, with a plain dark grey trench coat and matching trousers. His hair is brushed to the side, letting some of his fringes hang loosely down on the left side of his face. He looks at the time displayed on his watch; 9:38 am. The hall already seems like it has filled up considerably, with people wearing their attire, and chatting amongst themselves. The seats by his right hand are already filled by a group of women, who are talking loudly about something he doesn't care for. Then he glances to his left, two seats still unoccupied. He just hopes that whoever they might be will get here soon since the show is about to start in a few minutes. He looks back down at his watch once again. 5 minutes later and there he is. Hyunsuk lets out an audible sigh of relief when he sees the older couple walking toward the empty seats.
As the old lady is settling herself into her seat, she gives him an encouraging smile. Hyunsuk returns it as politely as possible before returning his attention to the front of the room as the lights dimmed.
The concert begins with a slow melody playing from the speakers while the crowd gets quieter until there is complete silence in the hall. Since the opera show was in a language he couldn't understand, he seems uneasy, fiddling with his hands anxiously. He looks over the row to his right, the group of women who talk loudly just now looked calm and focused. So did the couple sitting next to them. They seem to be watching the stage attentively, their eyes following along where music comes out of speakers near the stage.
"Is this your first opera show?" the old lady asks quietly as the music changes into a different one. Hyunsuk nods his head, not daring to speak out loud. The elderly lady smiles and pats his arm gently. "You want me to tell you a bit about it during the performance?" Hyunsuk just looked at her, surprised but grateful nonetheless. "You don't mind it?" She shakes her head, smiling fondly. "It'll be my pleasure to help in any way I can. After all, I've been watching this show for almost 50 years," she says, making him laugh softly in response. She continues. "And I don't even like opera performance, to begin with. It was my husband's favorite musical, so naturally, I was invited." Hyunsuk just chuckles, nodding his head slowly in understanding. A comfortable silence settles between them before the lights dim once more with a new track being played.
The old woman's eyes then focused on the stage, "This opera show is called La Bohémé..."
"Hyunsuk!" Hyunsuk quickly ran down the stairs upon hearing his name being called from outside. Smiles didn't leave his face for once, he only nodded in acknowledgment at a certain someone that was waiting for him in front of their house. He could hear from where he was standing right a little bickering from right in front of their door. He just let out a small chuckle, shaking his head lightly, and continuing to walk towards the door.
"Hyunsuk!" the male voice call out to him again as he opened the door. Before Hyunsuk could even react strong arms were wrapped around his neck, pulling him into a hug. A giggle left his lips as he returned it.
"Ahh, no huggie!" said a younger girl seeing his brother being hugged by the taller male. She pouted as she tried to get the older brother off the taller man. "Oh my, Hyuna jealous ~" teased the taller one making the little girl scoff in response. "Jae stink! Oppa is no longer playing with me because of you!" she said pointing at the tall male still hugging Hyunsuk tightly. "Well, that's because we're lovers," said Jae smirking at the little girl's glare. "You're lying," her voice softened, but she wasn't going to back down any time soon. "Hey Hyuna, watch," said Jae before planting a kiss on Hyunsuk's cheek. His sister immediately blushed, not liking what she watch while she glared at Jae before stomping away into the house.
"W-why are you teasing her like that Jae?" asked Hyunsuk, a blush creeping up on his cheeks. He puts his hand on his chest, trying to calm his beating heart. "Teasing? I just tell her the truth," replied Jae, looking at the shorter guy with a smile still plastered onto his face. "I love you," whispered Jae. He then leans closer to the shorter one, closing the distance between their face.
"School! We have to go now!" exclaimed Hyunsuk nervously as he quickly push Jae off of him. Jae just laughs softly at the smaller male reaction, ruffling Hyunsuk's hair. It has been two years since Kim Jae's family moved next door to them and ever since then they've become close. As they spend their time together, Hyunsuk couldn't help but be enamored by Jae who is two years older than him. Despite Jae being a big jock, he is a very caring person. He would often comfort him whenever the younger is struggling with schoolwork, he would also cheers him up when he is sad or tired, and most importantly, Jae always makes sure Hyunsuk is happy. But Hyunsuk could never admit his feeling towards the older one because he is scared it'll ruin whatever they had right now.
"Hey, what are you thinking about?" asked Jae, snuggling his head on Hyunsuk's shoulder.
"Nothing... just reminiscing about our high school days." Hyunsuk smiles softly, leaning his chin against Jae's forehead, and gently stroking the other male's hair.
"Hahaha. The days you're being self-conscious of me. Thinking I would be grossed out when you confessed, huh?" teased Jae, making Hyunsuk laugh lightly in embarrassment.
"How about now?" Jae said, he slips his hand under Hyunsuk's shirt and rubs his sides slowly. He feels Hyunsuk flinch slightly from the sudden touch, a small gasp escaping from the boy's mouth. "Y-you're making fun o-" Hyunsuk tries saying but Jae cut him off by pecking his lips softly.
"You shouldn't worry but that stuff you know. I could never get gross of you. The person I love is you, no other person. It's just you, Choi Hyunsuk," Jae whispers into Hyunsuk's ear before kissing him deeply. Hyunsuk closes his eyes and enjoyed the feeling of Jae's lips moving across his own.
Jae looked at Hyunsuk's face, admiring how beautiful the younger looks with flushed cheeks and pink lips. He runs his hand on Hyunsuk's cheek, caressing it softly. His lips curve into a small smile as he leaned his forehead on Hyunsuk's. "I am rather thankful that you reciprocated my feelings. I feel so relieved, knowing that my feelings aren't just a crush. I will cherish you forever until I die. My only wish is to see you smile every single day," Jae told him softly pecking Hyunsuk's forehead. Hyunsuk who is in deep sleep flinched at Jae's touch.
