"Hey do you think we should pick up the boys from the hospital?" Zoe asked.
"They have cars don't they?" I asked, confused.
"No they got taken to hospital in the police car and they didn't take their cars because they knew they were getting drunk. They got taxis." Zoe said.
"Oh okay, let's go pick them up then." I said.
Zoe got her keys from the keys bowl near the door and we left.
When I got in the car I checked the time to make sure we wouldn't be too early and it was 5:25. We'll be pretty good for time. It only takes about 15 minutes to drive to the hospital from our house so we'll get there almost the exact time Caspar told me. I texted him to let him and Joe know that we were picking them up soon.Me: We're leaving now to pick you both up. :)
Caspar: Okay, we'll wait outside. :)
As Zoe was driving, she turned on the radio and it was on Nova from the last time it was on. Lay me Down by Sam Smith was playing.
The only thing you could hear in the car was the radio.
We got to the street that the hospital is on and I saw the boys waiting on the path next to the road. There was a driveway pretty much right next to where they were standing so Zoe just pulled in there.
I was going to get out of the car so Joe could sit in the front seat and I could sit in the back with Casp.
"What are you doing?" Caspar asked as I opened the door and stood up out of the car.
"I'm moving so Joe can sit with his sister in the front and me and you can sit in the back." I answered quickly while getting in the back seat of the car.
"Oh okay. Yay." He said with a dorky smile.
He was so cute.
Caspar sat next to me but it took him a while to actually get in a comfy position in the car with his bruises all over his body - and his body was just aching in general. It was hard for him to find a position that didn't hurt.
Joe was having even more trouble. He had a massive cast to haul into the car and crutches! He put the crutches leaning up against the door and we all buckled up once everyone was comfortable in the car.
"I'm tired." Caspar whined.
"You've been in hospital for what, two or three days - stuck in a bed - and you complain about being tired?" I laugh.
"I guess you're right, but I'm always tired, it doesn't matter how much sleep I get." Caspar says.
I nodded. "I'm the same."After that, the rest of the car trip was pretty quiet. It was comfortable though. The radio was still playing but only very quietly.
Eventually we got home and Caspar went straight to bed. I didn't mind. I followed him upstairs.
He walked into his room and stopped.
"Wait, what's happened in here?" He asked.
"I moved some of my stuff in here because this is pretty much my room now." I giggled. "Well as well as its your room - its both our rooms."
"Ohh okay, that's cool." He said.
He got into bed and I made sure he was comfortable and then went downstairs. It was 6:00 now. Zoe and I started on dinner. Joe was on the couch with his crutches laying down on the floor next to himself.
"Do you think they'll definitely like eachother, Kayla hasn't had the best experience with boys. I wouldn't know what to do if it didn't work out. My best friend and my cousin." I said quietly so that Joe couldn't hear.
"Hey, guess what, that's what Joe's going through with you and Caspar." Zoe said.
"True, true. But anyway?"
"Well honestly, yes. I definitely think they will fall for eachother." Zoe admitted.
I smiled to myself.
I finished cutting all the vegetables and put them in the stock.
Zoe cooked some rice noodles.
"Whats for dinner?" Joe said a bit loud.
"Asian noodle soup." I answered as I walked to tge couch.
"Its going to be soooo yummy!" Zoe said in a funny voice that she does in a lot of her videos. I looked back to her and we both laughed.
I sat down and turned on the tv. Home and Away was on.
"Oh my god, Home and Away." Zoe shouted.
"Shhh! Caspar's trying to sleep!" I said to her. "You can leave the noodles to boil and and soup to reduce and sit down and watch it."
Zoe beamed.
"Yayyyy." She said as she sat on the couch and was immediately in the zone with just the tv and herself.
I looked at Joe and he glared.
"Sorry," I shrugged my shoulders. "I didn't think she would get that addicted but okay." I put my arms up defensively and rolled my eyes. He laughed.
I got up and went upstairs. I found three heat packs in my old room where there was still half my stuff.
Yes I had three heat packs. You can never have too many.
I heated one up and passed it to Joe on the couch. It should help his aching body.
I put another one in the microwave and heated it up, I did the other one really quick so they were both still hot and ran them up to Caspar.
I opened the door slowly and walked in. I went around his side of the bed and nudged him gently to wake him up.
"Caspar." I said gently. He opened his eyes slowly.
"Huh?" He said in his sleepy voice.
"I've got some heat packs for you to put on your aches and it'll make them feel better." I said, passing the packs to him. "Oh and dinner will be ready soon, did you want to come downstairs or stay up here and I'll bring it when its ready?" I asked.
"I want to stay here if that's okay." Caspar told me.
I smiled and kissed his cheek and left the room.Sooo the boys are home. :) and Kayla is coming soon!
Love you all. :) xx
