I jumped in the shower and washed my hair, face and body. I got out, dried and moisturised. I put a towel around my head and one around my body.
I walked to my room and this time I couldn't really care less if Caspar saw me or not.
But I got to my room and he hadn't seen me, so it was fine.
I got out some light blue denim mini shorts and a white singlet top that had a picture of a pineapple right in the middle.
I got dressed and blow-dried my hair. I decided to just keep it natural today and I just brushed through it. My natural wavy hair would do just fine today, whatever we were doing.
I put on some makeup - foundation, powder, tiny bit of blush, mascara, and a light pink shade of lipstick that I got for my birthday.
I got a pair of light blue Vans out of my wardrobe and slipped them on.
I walked downstairs and Caspar was on the lounge with his back to me on his laptop.
I walked in front of him.
"Ready?" I said, smiling.
"Woah." was all he said.
"Woah?" I asked.
"Woah." He said - again.
"Hello? Earth to Caspar? Are we ready to go?" I asked him.
"Oh yeah sorry about that Charlie. Yeah we should be ready. I've got some things in the car if we need." He answered as he started to get up off the couch. His cheeks were turning pink but I decided to not say anything.
"Alrighty" I said smiling, grabbing his hands and pulling him up.
"So we ready to leave?" He asked with a smile.
"I think so." I replied, returning the smile.
He walked over to the table and grabbed his phone, keys and wallet.
"We're going now! Bye!" I shouted out to Zoe and Joe who were in their rooms.
"Bye!" I heard them both shout.
Caspar and I smiled at each other and he held the door open for me so I could walk out to the car.
"Thank you Caspar." I said with a small laugh.
I walked over to the car and waited for the bleep noise that signalled that the doors were unlocked.
When Caspar got closer to the car he unlocked it and I got in. He hopped in the driver's seat after I was already in the car.
He put the key in ignition and the soft sound of the car's engine starting was humming softly. The radio turned on automatically - it must've been on when he last used the car - and it was on Nova! My favourite station.
Caspar turned out of the driveway and eventually we got onto the main highway.
One of my favourite songs came on, Not a Bad Thing by Justin Timberlake. This song wasn't new. Maybe they were having one of those throwback days that radios do.
During the long drive to where ever we were going, we just sat in the silence of the car apart from the quiet music coming from the radio.
Caspar's voice suddenly broke the silence, making me jump a little.
"How was it, growing up with Joe and Zoe? Were you close growing up?" he asked.
I laughed.
