"Signal the two ships to surround the brigantines then shoot from the side, the galleon will be shooting in front." Adeodatus ordered firmly before walking away from his men who are currently preparing the cannons.

He inhaled before placing his palm on the wet grip of his sword, between the pommel and quillon, he tapped the knuckle bow before pulling out his sword from the scabbard. He ran towards the forecastle deck and adjusted his lids, he observed the ships' sail and their movements, Ah... they planned to get away.

"Shoot them now! They're trying to escape!" he shouted. His men started to scream with each other, signaling their other co-workers as they shot and reloaded the cannons multiple times.

They successfully shot some parts of the first two brigantines they caught by speed, "Corner the other two ships!" the grand marshal shouted.

The sailing master hissed before maneuvering the ship as per the other official's order.

"No one's escaping from my grip." Ade whispered while watching the ships being attacked by cannons.

"Your imperial majesty looks like they're retrieving, shall we continue our main mission now?" The knight major intervened, trying to divert the imperial majesty's attention after he made some calculations in his mind, he saw the main ship's flag, and loads of ideas entered in his head, all are not good.

Ade turned his gaze to one of his men, "No, tail them and kill everyone who will fight back, and cage those who will surrender." Ade stated with determination.

"But your-"

"Don't defy me now if you don't want to die." he warned and that made the man shut his mouth.

The sailing master saw the terrified look of the knight major standing on the forecastle deck beside the emperor and realized that his decision earlier was just right. He, at least, got a chance to spare his own life from the man's ruthless ways.

Their ship, Sea of Torment moves swiftly, and now they're just beside the man-o'-war ship he failed to see earlier. Ade, despite the heavy rain and huge waves tried his best to look up to see the pirate ship's flag, and there he saw the faint view of the Amity.

"Your imperial majesty. We shall fall back." the knight major, suggested bravely after the strong lightning that was at the back of the man-o'-war ship. He also witnesses the damaged hull of the barque behind them, they're in no position to have a war in the middle of the sea in a stormy morning! They will surely lose! Besides his thinking on how they can conquer that vast land if half of their men will get killed or injured after the said war.

"And why?"

"That ship is the amity! They're known as the Nefarious bandits of the Seven Seas. Besides, our men are dying!" the knight said, panicking while pointing at their sub ships.

Ade moved his head to look. After witnessing the hideous state of his men, he clenched his jaw before hissing.

He doesn't know where it goes wrong. Did they fail to follow his commands? Did the others fail to deliver his orders correctly or... are they just really lacking, and he moved impulsively, his men are dying at that? But he didn't want to accept the latter, so he stopped himself from thinking things.

He sighed and gave a signal to the worried officer beside him to fall back, the man's face brightened but after turning his head, the terrified and bothered look was printed on his face again.

It's too late to fall back now. The pirates are already jumping to their ship by hanging on the ropes, jumping on their ship's shrouds.

Ade glared when he saw the brigantines surrounding them and realized that it is really too late now. He was only left with one choice. He needs to fight. Which he will surely do, after all, he was the one who dragged his own men to hell after a miscalculation and thirst for blood. It's his fault
