Ade walks up after hearing the faint commotion coming outside the cave. He sat on the mattress before knotting his eyebrows, he turned his neck and looked down on the peacefully sleeping kid beside him– well, not now, since the kid woke up also by the getting louder commotion.

What the heck are they doing outside?!

Adeodatus became alert when he heard the unfamiliar voice of other people outside, so he held Finn's hand and picked up his sword before throwing the scabbard on the ground. He carried Finn on his left arm and let the boy continue his sleep on his shoulder while walking silently towards the cave's mouth.

He leaned his body on the cave's wall, still hidden by the people, he's torn between tagging Finn along or placing the kid on a rock near him, either the kid may face some harm so...

Using his shoeless foot he stepped and raised his sword, the blade near a guy's neck whose back is facing Adeodatus.

"What the fuck?!" the man exclaimed when he noticed the blade near his skin.

Ade exhaled before looking around, he thought they were enemies on the hideout already, he panicked, he's becoming paranoid these days especially that he is not around his own men.

He raised his brow when he saw bruises on Horatius' friends body including the master at arms and quartermaster, "The battle is finished, I assume?" he started, trying to break off the awkward silence.

He sticks the tip of his sword on the land before leaning his body on it a little, getting support since he's carrying a heavy kid, sleeping on his arms.

Ade inhales when he sees some sour expression from some of the first mates, clearly offended by his tone and question, he guesses.

He smirked, no matter how good they are at fighting they can't finish me off especially with their conditions right now. Tarian walked towards him and held his arm lightly, warning him to watch his actions.

"How can it end? Do you even know that it hasn't even started yet?" Cross said in a sarcastic tone.

Ade raised his brow and remained silent, Tarian's hold on him getting a little tighter.

One of the twins butted in, "The news spread immediately like a wildfire, there are hundreds of crews– thousands of pirates aiming for your head now that they found out that you're one of the amity's prisoners, without your armed soldiers around you."

"Should I be threatened?"

Teddy looked at him awkwardly, "Well... your imperial majesty, don't get us wrong. Yes, we're strong but not everyone in our crew can fight like how we do it, and we're talking about hundreds of crews from different places, we're clearly outnumbered. Even the other crews who we used to trade and hand out with can't be trusted right now. Everyone that is out of the Amity's hold can't be trusted."

"Shit! Why is this even happening!? Half of my mates are dead! And the others are badly injured. Even our ships are damaged." Van, out of the first mates bursted.

Using his peripheral vision, Ade saw Sayyida walk towards him after pulling out a sword, but Tarian being the attentive guard as he pointed a sword at Sayyida too.

"It's all this man's fault!" the woman shouted while looking at him, frustration is visible in her eyes and face.

His eyes went wide, mocking the woman for his accusations, "Is it really my fault? Who was the one who captured me and gave me special treatment out of all the slaves then? Mind you guys, I am still a prisoner, of course I'll escape, it's not my fault alone that I have been found out, it's yours too, you were so careless back then that you failed to notice that I rode the horse and escaped. If you guys are in my position, you will surely do it too."

Everyone in the circle went silent after hearing the words of the noble man in front of them. Sayyida dropped his sword but the scowl on her face is still there.

The woman named Silvera closed his eyes before speaking, "There are only two options, either we surrender you or fight them."

Rusty grunted, "Nah, we'll never bow down to anyone."

"Then we fight, I guess?" the calm woman repeated.

And some people nodded.

"We will, of course. We're not surrendering anyone here, you know how dirty they play when it comes to these things, so, we're not backing down. Not now."
