The boy watched how his mother panics with rage in her eyes while maneuvering the small boat after arriving in the western part of the Carnegie Empire, his mother woke him up and covered him before carrying her son, rushing to the horse she successfully stole from one of the soldiers.

"Where are we going, why are we leaving my brother?" the innocent boy asked while dipping his hand on the cold sea water.

His mother glanced at him with pity but stayed silent, she focused on rowing the boat using all her speed and strength trying to get away from the curse land. Horace glanced at the west again and saw numbers of knights holding their arrows and swords, pointing at them, he can see them clearly even though it's still dark because of the torches they're holding.

He was confused and was about to wave at them because he knew some of those men, but his mother stopped him and hugged him instead, holding his head tightly, his mother hiding the ugly sight from his innocent eyes.

They sailed for hours until they successfully arrived in some... deserted mountain range, his mother got off the boat and tied it on a sharp rock before proceeding to the rocks. He pressed his lips together as he watched his mom dig the rocks, picking them then tossing them on the water. His mother did that repeatedly until a hole was revealed on the mountain's surface.

The woman held her son's hand and gently pulled him towards the hole. Horace squinted his eyes when dust came in contact with his eyes. After rubbing and adjusting his sight there he saw a deserted place full of dead trees and hills. The two walked, and after passing the dead trees they saw a cave. They stayed there for two days before walking again.

Horace's feet are numb already but he's too shy to complain and ask. He saw how the question he asked in the boat days ago hurt his mother, so he decided to stay silent unless his mom asked him something.

His eyes beamed after seeing numerous tents, he looked around and started to observe the people while his mother was busy talking to some of the elders of the tribe, he guessed. He stayed with the group for two weeks in the tents before exploiting again, now the group being led by his mom.

There he found a place where trees are alive, bodies of water are located nearby, animals and fruits can be found easily. Since his mother was the one who found the region, the tribe decided to dedicate its name after his mother... Amicus Region.

After a year of staying in the region, his mother started to sail with him and the others, he watched and witnessed how great of a leader and a pirate his mother was. They captured numerous dangerous pirates and their ship, forming their own group but remain nameless.

Growing up he started to understand their situation, on why they needed to leave that time, why the knights are after them as if they want to harm them, on why he and his twin can't meet again together with their father. But the details are still lacking, his attitude remains... he stays silent, he never dares to ask his mom about their whereabouts nor his twin and father.

Their expedition continued for years until his mother caught an illness and died, the tribe voted for him as their new captain and continued their work.

After his mother's death, he heard a lot of rumors about their situation. He started to connect the dots and when he finally realized the whole situation, he got mad... not at his mother but at his lying father who shamelessly committed adultery.

He brought and caged his anger for years until he met a naval ship while exploring. Honestly, he was not in the mood to fight that time, but they were left with no choice when the naval ship started to hit them with cannons.

They fought back and won over the royalty who happened to be the emperor and his men. He brought the man in his ship and captured the others.

He stared at the handsome face of the emperor who had an ugly bruise near his lip at that time. He heard a lot of rumors about the emperor from Loverne before, that he is ruthless and has more negative traits. And he confirmed those rumors when the man offered him something... bad. The handsome face of the blue-blooded man serves as a facade.

"What's with that stupid mask of yours?" the man asked rudely, despite being tied.

The mask... right, he's been wearing it for years now, he only removes it whenever he's inside his cabin or house in the Amicus region. The first reason is to protect his twin whom he surely looks a lot just like him since they were born identical, his twin is a knight commander too he heard. Second is to avoid seeing his own face because he's starting to look just like his father and lastly, to hide the scar on his face which he got years ago from a battle.

Thelonius, are you really serving this kind of person?

That's the first thing that came into his mind after remembering the offer made by his twin years ago when they met at the sea accidentally. Good thing he declined, he can't bear to follow the man's order, he has his own principles and surely those principles will go nothing once he works under the foul-mouthed emperor.

"Don't wake the man sleeping in my den, you heard?" he instructed, and the cute boy nodded his head, he sighed as he watched the boy run from him.

His worries added up when he saw that the captive was uncomfortable whenever Finn was around, he even accused Horace of having a family and a kid. Well, there's nothing wrong with that, he's at the age too but in his way of living having your own family will just put you at disadvantage. Their enemies could use it as a treat to pull them down.

The emperor acted almighty throughout their expedition until he brought the man to their region where it started to ruin his peaceful life.

Adeodatus Brynjar Hilti-Carnegie, Emperor of the Carnegie Empire has escaped.

"You should've killed him in the first place!" Sayyida shouted.

He turned his head to the lady and glared at her... hearing the woman's words just doesn't sit right with him, "Don't run your mouth on me now, Sayyida. Find him." he commanded in a hard tone he hadn't used for years.

They killed the pirates who tried to harm them and successfully found Ade who's riding the galleon trying to escape, the two fought the enemies who're going after Ade's head until a bandit hit his mask causing it to be removed. Now the secret he had been keeping for years is now finally revealed, what's unluckier is that his face got revealed in front of the man he has feelings for.

"YOUR scar looks hot on you." Ade whispered while caressing his scar, his eyes closed.

Thelonius scoffed beside Ade, all three of them are naked while lying on the enormous bed of the imperial majesty.

"Shall I get one, your imperial majesty?" Thelonius asked.

Ade moved and laid flat on the bed, "No. It'll be hard to differentiate you two once you start to wear the same clothes."

"But you can differentiate us easily..."

"Yeah, just don't you dare share the same acts and clothes, it's irritating, I want you two to be in your own style."

"Hmm."

HE moved his hand signaling his men to lower the anchor of the ship, he caressed Finn's back before putting down the boy, he straightened his back and watched the kid run towards the royal prince... his new playmate.

"I am back, your imperial majesty." he said after stopping in front of the emperor.

"Hmm. Welcome back, Captain." Ade whispered before dropping a kiss on his scar.

"You're not gonna leave me behind this time." Thelonius butted in after placing his arm around the emperor's waist.

The three shared a smile as they watched how the Amity showed its flamboyance as the sun set and rested. Ade closed his eyes as he felt the cold blow of the wind while listening to the calm waves of the sea. He opened his eyes and stared at the Amity as he felt the warm caress of the twins on his skin. It is indeed... peaceful.
