Adeodatus' eyes are tightly closed while lying on the captain's bed, the pirates just finished bathing him a couple of minutes ago, and the one guy called another and carried him to the bed, of course, still tied- shackled, rather.
Both of his hands are free, but his ankles aren't, they are shackled using a heavy and strong metal that can't be removed easily. That's why he didn't make any effort to remove it, he knows this kind of shackles, he uses them often, especially when capturing someone. He can walk but it's impossible to run since it's heavy and the chain of the shackle isn't that long, just enough to take the right length step.
Ade's right brow flinched when he heard the wooden door open, but he didn't bother to open his eyes, he was testing his other senses if he could use them just like before.
He inhaled and straightened his legs and feet on the bed to hide his thighs, the servants made him wear an expensive cloth but it's too short for him. A very thin chiffon sheer robe.
He felt the bed move near his feet, tilted his head a bit and smelled the faint smell of the man and rum as well, yes, a man- he can confirm, now he knows that his sense of smell is still useful.
Shiver ran down on his skin when he felt the careful caress of warm and big hands of the person on his injured knee.
Actually, he can easily kill the person using his hands since both are free to move or he can use the shackles around his ankles to lock the person's neck, but he won't risk it, he is injured, he can kill him, and he will be killed too. Shackled and injured, what a good combination. And he can feel the ship's moving too, either he dies from the pirates' hands or by drowning from exhaustion.
He slowly opened his eyes when he felt the cloth being wrapped around his knee, he shifted his gaze up to the masked man, "Are you that ugly to hide your face with a shitty mask?" he asked instead of thanking his abductor.
The man stopped from doing his knee but continued after a sigh, Ade raised his brow and spoke again, "Ah, so you're deaf now huh?"
The man looked at him, but he failed to read the man's expression because he can only view the man's eye color and mouth, and the others are covered with the black mask.
The man fakes a cough, "Never know you're this talkative." Horace spouted in a deep voice.
Ade's brows flinch after hearing the man's remark, so he kicks Horace's hand using his foot, he is pissed. How dare the man brand him as talkative when he barely speaks with Thelonius? He is just talkative when it comes to... bed.
Thelonius.
Right, now that he thought about his right-hand man, he's wondering if the news escalated around his empire by now. What are their plans? For sure Tarian is pissed and stressed by now, but he'll use his head and ask for a concrete plan from the other rulers even though the man wants to free him immediately. He better plan everything smoothly. Because there's no way he is escaping with a shitty plan made by his men. But that is impossible too since he is an emperor, Thelonius needs to formulate a good plan, after all, he swore to his deceased father as well as to the former emperor that he'll protect him no matter what.
