Adeodatus roamed his eyes around the moment he entered Horace's house, the man's place was neither too small nor too big, the ceiling was quite high, guess it's because Horatius is tall.

His house has less things too, only the necessity and necessary things can be found inside the guy's home, a long couch, table, a lamp, and some chests are the only thing that can be found inside the living room.

Ade made himself feel at home so he walked towards the man's kitchen, like how he described earlier only the necessary things are also can be found inside the kitchen, is it because he's always at the sea that's why he didn't fill his home with different things?

"Your house is small but it's clean so it's fine." he said the moment he exited the kitchen room.

Horace looked at him, "Well, you live in a huge palace your whole life, you won't get it if I say that my house' size is just fine."

Ade raised his left brow, "What I've said is not even an insult."

"For you, sure it is not." Ade looked away before dropping himself on the couch, "Aren't you hungry, you didn't have your breakfast?" Horatius asked while doing something in the kitchen.

"Not really." he answered in a bored manner before roaming his eyes again. Now that he thought about it, he doesn't know a single thing about Horatius and his background, he just met some of his 'trusted friends' Sayyida and Loverne, his name too, other than that... nothing more. There are no photographs or paintings, unlike in his house- palace rather, there are huge paintings of his family- ancestors from when the Carnegie empire started. It's honestly scary to look at those so he really never paid any attention for so long. I find my ancestors kind of creepy, how funny.

"So, you're living here alone?"

It took a couple of seconds before he heard Horace's answer, "...I am living here with Finn."

"Aside from him?"

"There's none."

Ade pursed his lips while watching Horatius, putting some red jam on the bread, "How about your mother?" he asked, still watching the man putting a paste on the other bread.

"She's long dead."

"Ohh... how long then?" He sounds insensitive, he didn't even apologize because he doesn't care.

"She died because of sickness when I was thirteen."

"Oh, and you were raised by?"

"Elders who lived here, my mother's friends, together with my other comrades who were orphans as well." Horatius pressed the bread together before putting them on a plate, he walked towards Ade who was busy staring at the ceiling.

"I see." We're almost in the same situation then?

"I can't imagine growing up with dirty children beside me-"

Horace picked one of the breads and placed it on Ade's lips, cutting the man's insult, "Here, eat, you must know when to stop running your mouth."

Adeodatus glared at Horace before snatching the bread away from the man's hand.

"What are we going to do here in your hometown anyway?" he asked, changing the topic when he noticed that Horatius doesn't have any plans to spill some beans regarding his family.

"Trade some of our goods with the merchants and other pirates."

His eyelids thinned after hearing the reason from the man, he recalled the conversation they had yesterday and remembered that the trading will happen at the campsite where they went earlier. They will trade and I will escape. That's his plan, he will ride the horse and go straight to the ship to free his men, then they will steal one of the barques because for sure the crews at that time will be less than ten, based on his observation most people went to their hometown.
