Chapter 10: Making of a body, part 1

[K's Pov]

I finished tampering with the back panel of the Prototype. I only checked the components and their durability throughout the course of a year wandering around the tower and the production lab. I closed the panel with my left paw before turning to look at the others. Colin is sitting on the grass and listening as the Prototype speaks of it's journey. Scott and Puro are standing by their newly constructed computer desktop. It seems Scott is able to set the computer up without my help. What am I thinking? Of course Scott would know how because he used to be a robotics engineer.

Scott is holding the right paw of Puro with both of his paws. It appears he's examining it closely. I casually walked over to the two, and they turned their heads to look at me. "Doctor K! Scott is curious about my paws." Puro stated and I looked at Scott. Scott gave me an embarrassed chuckle. "Actually, I am curious about this bio bot that you gave him as a replacement for a human host. Do you happen to have more of those so I can study them and perhaps make one of my own?"

It has been a year since I have heard about the bio bot. It is a biological robot, capable of being a replacement for a human to undergo lab experiments. The bio bot of Puro is the last one I have heard of, and since then the rest of the bio bots are hidden away somewhere in the tower. "I think there are a few left tucked away in the tower. It will take me a while to look for it." I looked at Puro, and he is also looking at me.

"Do you mind if I borrow your help to look for the bio bot at the tower?" Puro shook his head and raised his right paw to give me a thumbs up. "Human!" The black wolf called the white wolf's attention, and Colin turned to look at him. Puro raised his paw and waved at him, and Colin did the same, waving at Puro. We both hopped over the broken down window of the garden and began our walk down the hallways of the production lab. Who knew that the Botany department is actually a secret production laboratory of the tower?

[Scott's Pov]

Watching the two leave, I turned to look at Colin. Colin is sitting on the grass and looking at the Prototype. The Prototype is picking the riped Blue Apples bearing from the tree. I walked over to the two and sat beside Colin. Both of us are looking at the Prototype as it waters the tree with the watering can we found nearby. The Prototype looked at me and raised it's metal paw, waving at me. "Hello there, Scott! You look like me! I have a metal body with a visor, and you have a white soft fur body with a visor. May I ask, who created you?"

Looking back to my past, I had a plain boring life. I can't even remember who my parents were. I remembered that I like dogs, fluffy animals. I never knew I would become one. It's all plain and boring, but everything changed when the pale virus appeared and I discovered this facility. Once again, after my childhood my life is given a good purpose. I get to start a new life, to experience things I haven't discovered before. To become something different. To be changed. "A white latex tried to assimilate me, but I injected the cure just in time. The white latex beast transfurred me into a Protogen."

Colin looked at me and he titled his head to his left. The white wolf reached for my right paw. He held my right paw with his left paw, and he held his right paw close to my right paw. Colin looks as if he's comparing his paw to mine. "Colin, what's the matter?" I asked and the white wolf lets go of my right paw. "I heard Doctor K helped Colin survive the virus of the outside world. Doctor K gave Colin the cure."

So he used to be a human just like me. He was infected by the pale virus, but is cured by Doctor K using the cure. I then heard a voice coming from the hallway outside the window. I turned to look, and it is just Puro and Doctor K returning. "Human! I have already missed you." Puro attempted to hop across the window, but he tripped on the frame. The black wolf crashed to the artificial soil flooring of the garden. I heard Colin beside me chuckle. The black wolf raised his head, revealing his mask covered in soil.

Doctor K hopped across the window and successfully landed on his two hind legs. Doctor K is holding a blueprint on his left paw. He approached me, and Puro followed behind. Puro is still cleaning the dirt on his white mask. "Unfortunately, we haven't found any bio bots stored inside the tower. On the other paw, we found the blueprint of the bio bot. The blueprint should be enough for us to build a bio bot. Why are you even looking for a bio bot?" Doctor K asked, and I began to scratch my mane.

"I'm thinking of a white latex assimilating a bio bot with a Protogen visor. Don't you think it's a wonderful idea to test that out?" Doctor K went silent for a bit before handing me the blueprint. "I will help you with it. But if something else happens, don't be afraid to ask me for help."

I held the blueprint on my right paw and spread the blueprint. The blueprint presents the image of a bio bot and the instructions needed to be done to successfully engineer a bio bot. "Prototype! Let's get to work on building Scott's bio bot."
