Chapter 22: Black Latex Nest

[Scott's Pov]

The elevator doors opened, and I stepped out of the elevator. I am in a room that looks similar to a private office space. Two large tables are fixated on the east and west sides of the room. The left table holds a computer, and a potted bonsai plant on top of it. The right table holds two more potted bonsai plants, and a stack of books. "Welcome to my office. It is where my ability to think of a solution functions very well. Colin has visited my office once while he's trying to look for the exit."

Doctor K spoke as he walk by me and stood in front of me. The black wolf and the white wolf are standing behind me. "Colin and Puro. Can you two do me a favor and watch over my office while we check the black latex nest? You two can freely access my computer to watch over us and the rest of the tower through surveillance feed. Just don't touch anything personal in the office, and on the computer." I walked around in Doctor K's office, and I noticed something strange. If the elevator only leads to Doctor K's office, how come is his office all clean and untouched?

I turned to look at Doctor K, and he is by his computer desk. He's sitting down on his office chair, and he looks to be browsing through his computer. Colin and Puro are observing the potted plants on the desks. Puro appears to be intrigued and curious on the potted plants. "Human! What if you are a plant, and I am your gardener. You will be sad when I'm away. You will be happy when I'm close by. You will be loved when I water you with my watering can. Human will love my water!"

I noticed the white wolf's face having a blush, and Colin covered his face with both of his paws. "What's the matter, Human? Did I say something you like?" I let out a chuckle at the two before turning to look at Doctor K. Doctor K is pressing keys on the keyboard, typing something on the monitor. I looked at the screen of the monitor, and it shows a notepad with already typed in words. "What are those about, K?" I asked and Doctor K looks at me.

"I am taking notes of what recently have occured. It includes Prima's awakening, and the chaos that have occured hours ago. It's similar to a diary, but leaning more towards Science. I have also recorded our potential weapon against the Primagen, which is the EMP. Speaking of the EMP, have you brought the EMP with you?" I gave him a nod and attempted to reach out for the EMP, but I realized that I don't have it. "K, I think you have it on you. You stored it in your lab coat."

Doctor K quickly reached his right paw into his lab coat, and he pulled out the small EMP device we built in the production labs. The shape of the EMP resembles a C4 explosive, but is square shaped instead, and two switches are attached to the face of the small device. The first switch enables the magnet of the EMP to attach itself towards any metallic object, and the second switch is to fire the EMP and fry any electronic devices within it's small range. The two switches are safely covered by a glass panel that can be swung open. Doctor K reaches his right paw to me, holding the small EMP device on his right paw.

I shook my head and I pushed his right paw away. "You should hold on to the small EMP. I don't have any container with me to contain the device." Doctor K gave me a smile and he returns the small EMP device in his hidden pocket underneath his lab coat. All of a sudden, his computer began to beep aggressively. Doctor K saved the notepad and closed it down. He opened what appears to be surveillance footages of every cameras within the tower, and he clicked on one of the footages.

The live surveillance footage reveals the Primagen entering a big room filled with black latex, and a special looking black latex beasts sits at the end of the big room. The room appeared to house a lot of the green colored large shiny crystals. "Prima is heading straight for the Elder One! Let's go before it's too late!" Doctor K brought out a notepad and a pen from underneath his lab coat. He wrote something related to us heading to the Elder One, before he placed it underneath the keyboard. We both ran for the elevator and he pressed the button with his right paw.

The elevator doors opened and we stepped inside. Doctor K stood by the elevator panel, and he pressed one of the elevator buttons. The elevator quaked into motion, and the elevator began to ascended up the floors. This answers my question about his room remaining clean and untouched when the Primagen rode the elevator, but how does the Primagen know which elevator button and floors it is to arrive to this Elder One. I don't even know what the Elder One is. "K, do you mind if I ask who and what the Elder one is?"

Doctor K glanced at me and returned his gaze on the elevator panels. "The Elder One is one of the latex beasts in the tower that controls the habitat of each latex. The Elder One is the elder of the one half of the black latex nest, and the other elder controlling the other half being the Wolf King. The Elder one controls the black latex dragons, and the Wolf king controls the black latex wolves." The elevator arrives on the floor, and the elevator doors slowly slid open. Behind the elevator doors appeared to be a hallway filled with black latex. The flooring and the walls are completely covered in black.

Doctor K immediately started running, and I followed him behind. We ran through the black latex hallways, occasionally passing by a number of large green crystals on the way. We eventually arrived at the big black latex room that the surveillance feed showed us, and the Primagen is standing on the middle of the room. The Primagen is surrounded by large green crystals, and no other black latex beasts are present apart from the Elder One at the other end of the big room. "Stop using your green crystals and face me on a real battle!"
