[Scott's Pov]
I stare at the ceiling of the garden room as the grass beneath me brush against my back. What is the dream that I had about? The battery does not make sense, and how I pushing a button made it fill up one bar. What does it mean? I slowly got up and sat up right. I see Doctor K sitting on my office chair. He is fixated on the monitor of my computer, presumably viewing and reading the notepad Prima typed hours ago. He is reading it out loud. I looked at the Blue Apple trees, and the Prototype is standing by one of the trees.
The Prototype is watering the trees as usual. The white wolf and the black wolf are not in the garden room this time. They must have went somewhere together. Prima is sitting beside me with his back lean against the wall. His claw is still stuck in the outlet, presumably charging the remaining of his battery full. I got up from my seat and approached Doctor K. Doctor K glanced at me before reading the notepad from the monitor.
"A Protogen eats, but their predecessor does not. A Protogen is calm, but their predecessor is not. A Protogen is the new, but their predecessor is better." Doctor K looks at me, expecting me to say something. "What do you think of these statements?" He asked and I held my paw on my visor, looking on the grass as I think through the statements. The Protogen has the ability to consume to replenish their energy, but their predecessor needs to draw power from different sources of electricity for energy. The Protogen is calm in nature, but their predecessor is violent. The Protogen is new, but their predecessor is far more superior.
I let go of my paw and look at Doctor K. "Do you think Prima is a predecessor race of Protogen?" Then out of nowhere, I noticed Prima standing beside me and Doctor K. I backed off a bit, startled from the lack of noise or sound from Prima's movement. How come have I not heard anything from Prima? "Hello Scott, and Doctor K. Did I startle you, Scott?" The Protogen asked and I shook my head in response. "I just got caught off guard there. You are good with sneaking."
The Protogen gave me a warm smile, his visor projecting a friendly Protogen face. I chuckled nervously before looking at Doctor K. Doctor K is looking at us two, and occasionally taking a glance on the notepad on the screen of the monitor. The air feels cold, and it doesn't feel right. I feel the tension rise with Prima being here. Doctor K is about to speak something when I heard a growl. The two immediately turned to look at me. Ouch. My belly begs for food. "It seems someone hasn't ate yet." Doctor K chuckled, and I felt my visor heat up in response.
How am I easily flustered from being embarrassed over a loud hungry stomach of mine? The Prototype followed along and chuckled. I felt my my visor heat up more. I imagine my visor projecting a bright blush over my snout by now, and it is embarrassing. "Why not you two have a little snack? Just tell Prototype, and they will pick the Blue Apples for you. Don't worry about me, I'm still reading this notepad that Prima typed hours ago." Doctor K asked and the Protogen gave him a nod. I let out a sigh of relief. I thought I would be stuck standing in awkward silence.
The Protogen didn't hesitate and went for the Prototype. The Prototype is seen watering the Blue Apple trees, and Prima gave the Prototype a tap on it's back. The Prototype turned around to look at the Protogen, and it gave him a nod before turning to pick the Blue Apples bearing from the trees. I approached Prima and he looked at me, his ears perked up. "Are you hungry too? I wonder if you can digest food like I can." I asked, and Prima gave me a shrug.
The Prototype turned to look at us. The Prototype is now holding two Blue Apples on both of it's paws. "Task is done! I hope you enjoy the freshly picked ripe Blue Apples from your one and only friendly Prototype!" I reached out my right paw and held one of the Blue Apples on my right paw. Prima took one of the Blue Apples and hold it on his left paw. The Prototype quickly returned to watering the Blue Apple trees. I held the Blue Apple close to my visor and took a bite on it. I looked at Prima as I chew on the Blue Apple, and saw the Protogen opened his muzzle wide, revealing his sharp canine teeth.
The Protogen toss the whole Blue Apple into his maw and chew on it. I took a pause from chewing to observe the Protogen chew on the food, and he quickly swallowed the Blue Apple. I followed and I swallowed mine, before noticing the Protogen gag. He quickly vomited the contents of his stomach. The small puddle of vomit is color red, and the recently chewed Blue Apple cannot be seen within the puddle. The puddle is somehow viscous, and soon the red puddle of vomit began to creep towards the window of the garden.
I quickly turned to call Doctor K, and he stood up from my office chair to approach the creeping red puddle of vomit. "Where did that red latex come from?" Doctor K asked, and Prima raised his right paw. "I ate a Blue Apple, and my stomach did not like it. I retched it out, and it began to move." Prima explained, somehow he is calm despite the sudden horror. Doctor K immediately ran for my computer desk and took the decorative jar on my desk. He returned to us and immediately scooped up the red goo into the jar before sealing the lid close.
"Prima, I know it may sound weird, but I think you just gave birth to a red latex." I looked at Doctor K in horror, shaking my head in disbelief. "What?"
