You hummed as you walked along the streets of Liyue. Today was a very special day because you had finally agreed to go fishing with Yanfei.

You stopped in front of the young girls work, she had told you to wait outside for her the previous day.

"(Y/N)! My favorite client!" a sweet voice called from ahead of you.

"Yanfei! Hey!"

Yanfei ran up to you, enveloping you into a hug. She smelled like violetgrass and a bit of Qinxin flowers.
She separated the hug and looked up at you.

"You ready to go fishing? I brought my special fishing rod just for this occasion!"

"Yeah I brought mine too."

"Great! Let's get going then." Yanfei took your hand and intertwined them together.
The whole way to the lake, Yanfei made little glances at you. Whenever you caught her staring you smiled, causing her to blush a little.

As you and Yanfei sat at the edge of the lake, she took our a red fishing hook and attached some bait to it.
You looked at your own (F/C) fishing hook and pursed your lips. 'It's nothing like hers..'

Yanfei must've read your thoughts because she put her hand on your shoulder and smiled warmly.

"It doesn't matter what type of hook you have, it all comes down to your technique and dedication!"

"Pfff, thanks Yanfei."

She hummed for a moment in response before jumping up and holding her rod out.
"Speaking of technique, allow me to show you what I'm really made of!"

You giggled as Yanfei enthusiastically sent her fish line far out into the water.
Her face scrunched in concentration as she kept her eyes on the bobber.

While you admired her features, her hook suddenly jerked forward.
"I got a bite!" she chirped while tugging at the handle.

"Go Yanfei! You can do it!" you stood beside her cheering her on. A bright blush spread across her face, she looked at you losing focus.

The fish hook when still.
Confused, Yanfei reeled in the hook to see the bait was gone and there was no sign of a fish.

"Oh- uhm.." Yanfei looked at the end of the hook visibly embarrassed. She really wanted to show off to you and completely blew it.
