You sat on starsnatch cliff.
Thankfully that couple wasn't there anymore so you had it to yourself, you stared at the letter from your distant lover. Scrunched face.

You reread the letter over and over again. Why did their letters now seem like they didn't care? Had they found someone else, no.. maybe they're just tired.

You took a deep breath in, not hearing the footsteps that approached from behind you.

"(Y/N)? Why are you by yourself?" Your bestfriend Fischl stood behind you. Peeking over your shoulder at the letter.

You crumpled it up in your hands, quickly tucking it away out of her sight.

"Fischl-! I was just getting some fresh air, don't worry." It was an obvious lie, the tears falling down your face explained it.

"Oh (Y/N).."

Fischl bent down on her knees, pulling you into a tight hug. You hesitantly waited before shakily putting your arms around her.

"Was it (R/N)(random name) again?"
Her words were spoken softly.

You nodded against her shoulder. You hated that she was seeing you in such a state.

"You deserve so much better (Y/N).."

"N-No! Don't say that!"

Fischl was startled by your sudden change of mood. You backed away from the hug, hands still holding her shoulders.

"They could just be tired!"
It hurt every time someone told you that line.

You knew deep down that this wasn't right, that you could be happier.
But it felt like your body was holding you back.

"Maybe if I just wait.. something good will happen yknow..?" Your words were hesitant, like you were convincing yourself.

Fischl's expression softended. She knew that (R/N) meant the world to you. But for (R/N) it wasn't the same way.

Fischl would read the letters you recieved from them. She knew that it invaded your privacy but her and Oz couldn't stand by and listen, they had to see for themselves.

"(Y/N).. you're breaking your own heart at this point." Fischl reached out her hand to cup your cheek.

"I.." You didn't know how to respond.

"I don't want to leave them though."
You really did have feelings for (R/N), but one random day their letters became... hurtful.

It wasn't like they said anything mean.
It was that their words lessened and mannerisms changed.

"I know you don't, you both are great people. But not great for each other."

You leaned into her palm, tears threatening your eyes again. Fischl was absolutely right.

"But what if-"

"No! I demand you stop wasting your tears over this matter!" Fischl stood up.

"As Prinzessin der Verurteilung, I order you to open your damn eyes and see this isn't healthy!"
Fischl yelled, earning a frazzled expression from you.

Fischl's chest heaved up and down from her sudden movements and screaming.
You stared eyes-wide at the girl before you.

"I think that's the first time you've yelled at me Fischl.."
You honestly forget about why she yelled for a second.

"I- don't change the subject!"
Fischl tightened her hands into fists as she stomped over to you.

She bent down and raised her hands on either side of her face.
She brought them to your cheeks and began pinching them roughly.

"Ow ow ow! Fischl-"

"Stupid stupid stupid! Say that what you're crying over is stupid!" She huffed.

Your eyes closed at the pain. Both of your hands held her wrists trying to pull them off but to no avail.

"Come on! Say itttt!"
Fischl wasn't planning to stop anytime soon. Not till you admitted you deserved better at least.

"Noooo!" You weren't gonna admit anything.

"I care about you so much yknow that!? I can't stand to see you cry a single more tear over that stupid-- Liyue nobody!"

You opened your eyes staring at Fischl.
Her face was red with anger as she continued death pinching your cheeks.

"Even Oz agrees with me! Freaking Oz!"
Her plee's to you were desperate.

"Fine! I agree that I'm crying over something stupid! I admit it!"
You finally caved in, those words echoing.

Fischl let go over your cheeks while still glaring. She had a talent for making you confess things you didn't want to.

"Good. Now I demand you cmere."
Fischl spread her arms wide open.

Sighing, you fell into her embrace.
Fischl did always give you hugs when you were upset, it's what calmed you down the most.

Eventually, your head rested on her lap as you both looked at the starry sky.

"I don't wanna be pushy, but you really need to get out of that relationship."

"I know."

Fischl hummed, playing with your (hair/hijab) as you closed your eyes.
You knew you weren't gonna do what she said, you'd probably have this argument till she did it for you. The thought made you smile a little.

Fischl gave you a kiss on the forehead before you eventually slipped into an unconscious slumber.

"I'll always be here for you (Y/N)."
