Thoma called for you from the entrance of the Kamisato estate. You giggled and jogged over. Thoma was struggling to carry two crates.
"Here, I got this one." You raised your arms, gently grabbing the crate on the top.
Thoma sighed in relief feeling the weight decrease. You made small chat as both of you walked inside the estates walls.
Ayato and Ayaka were stationed at the chess table. You and Thoma laughed hearing Ayaka groan and hang her head in defeat.
"What are those crates?" Ayato smiled at the both of you. Thoma kept walking to the kitchen while you stopped.
"They're the ingredients for tonight's dinner with the Guuji and Raiden Shogun." You adjusted the crate a little higher in your hold.
Ayato smiled and nodded. "Do you two need help cooking?" Ayaka questioned, standing from her seat.
"No no, it's fine Ayaka. Me and Thoma will take care of it, you need to prepare for her excellence." You gratefully smiled, waving her off.
She only gave a quick nod before turning and walking to her room. Ayato reset the chess board and stood up.
He walked over to you, putting a hand on your shoulder. He smiled warmly. "Excited for your lover to try your cooking?"
Your face flushed at his words. Ayato and Thoma were the only ones who knew about you and the Guuji. You both had been dating for a year now.
"Why- you!" You reached out a hand and pinched his cheek. He laughed and gently whacked your hand away.
You hoisted the crate with both hands again. Pursing your lips, you softly mumbled. "I am, but I'm nervous aswell."
