"(Y/N)..."

Your eyelashes gently lifted, fluttering in the sun that beamed through the curtains. You let a soft, content sigh escape your lips.

You felt your waist being tugged at. Eyes trailing down, you smiled warmly seeing your lovers arms wrapped around you.

Slowly, you turned your body around. Yae kept her arms securely around you, not wanting to let go.

Her face had the gentle glow of the sun. It carved out her features perfectly, her long eyelashes complementing her beauty more.

She kept her eyes shut, little snores leaving her mouth every few moments. You felt your eyes crinkle with your smile.

"Yae.." You leaned your head forward, giving a gentle peck to her nose.

Her ear twitched as her eyes lazily half opened. You watched as she moved the back of her hand to her mouth, covering a yawn.

Her eyes slowly trailed up, finding yours. She squinted slightly.

"Your smile is even brighter than the morning sun." She mumbled out before hiding her face in the crook of your neck.

You giggled. You could feel Yae's mouth curve into a smile when the sound made its way to her ears. Your chin found its way on her head.

"That was cheesy, even for you Miko." You moved a careful hand to her head. Stroking her hair softly.

She sighed against your neck, sending shivers down your body. Her grip on your waist loosened, like she was falling back asleep.

"Miko.. you have to stay awake, it's almost time to get up." You hummed. She groaned in return, not moving.

"I'll make you some breakfast if you get up~" You cooed. Usually that works, but Yae still didn't budge.

You layed there for a moment, thinking of what you could do to get her up. You had been so spaced out, you didn't realize she moved and was staring at you.

"You're so cute when concentrating~" She teased, giving you a genuine smile.

You blinked at her, feeling the warmth spread to your cheeks. You noticed something moving in the corner of your eye.

Looking towards the direction, you saw Yae's tail. It was softly swaying back and forth. You smirked.

Yae raised a brow at your sudden smug expression. She waited for you to speak.
"And you're so cute when your wagging your tail like a dog, Miko." You teased.

Yae's cheeks turned a soft pink as she immediately threw the blanket over the lower part of her body.

Her tail still swayed underneath, causing the sheets to slightly bop up and down.

You laughed when she then covered her face with her hands and dug her head into your chest.

You were grateful for small things like this. It was rare for Yae to have someone she could act so different- no, at home with.

Yae wouldn't tell anyone, but she appreciated you to her hearts fullest. She appreciated the way you would smile at her.

She appreciated the way you would see more than the Guuji, or the way you treated her like a regular person.

She appreciated the look in your eyes when she caught you staring at her. Your smooth words would send her to cloud nine.

In reality, Yae knew she loved you and that you loved her just as much. To her, this was all the she could've ever wanted.

"Let's get you some morning tea, Miko." You tried getting up but Yae tugged you right back down.

"Miko? What's the matter?" You rubbed her back softly as she removed her hands from her face.

Her purple eyes looked into your (E/C) ones. She sweetly smiled, trailing a manicured hand to your cheek.

She rubbed her thumb back and forth, giving you a quick peck on the lips.
"I don't feel like going out today, let's stay in bed, yes?" She spoke softly.

Knowing you couldn't reason with her, and because you did wanna stay in bed with her longer. You smiled back and nodded.

"Good." She buried her head back into your chest, wrapping her arms and legs around you to get comfortable.

"I love you Miko." You sighed happily.

"I love you too (Y/N)." She softly spoke. The rest of the day you and Yae happily slept in eachothers embrace.

[A/N: this is the first oneshot I've done under 1,000 words for- I didn't have many ideas as to what could make it longer so this works.

Also yes I cried a little listening to the Perks of a Wallflower soundtrack at the top.
