The rain had only just stopped, leaving the smell of freshness in its aftermath.
It was a perfect time to be at Windrise.

"(Y/N)!" Your girlfriend Noelle beckoned at you from below. She looked to you with a shocked and worried expression.

"Please come down! It's not safe up there!" she waved her arms trying to convince you to lower yourself from the tree.

"But your rose!" You had climbed up into the tree at Windrise. All for the sake of a rose you so desperately wanted to give to Noelle.

You felt your foot slipping as you made your way farther upward.

"Please please please!" Noelle furrowed her brows an began to pout at you.

"Noooo I got this!" you lifted your arm to grab apart of the bark.

The branch you were standing on snapped sending you straight for the ground. How funny that gravity's a thing.

"(Y/N)!!" Noelle rushed forward spreading her arms desperately trying to catch you. She ran to the left.. to the right... backwards... picking out where exactly you would land.

"Oomph!" She actually caught you. Your mouth gaped as you looked up at her. She was carrying you bridal style.

"Oh dear! You gave me such a fright!" her brows knitted together in an upward motion.

"I'm sorry, I thought I had that." you pouted at her.

She sighed and squeezed your arm. She looked back up and gave you a closed-eye smile.

"Noelle.. Could you uh, put me down? " you pointed at the fact she was still carrying you.
A faint pink appeared on her cheeks.
But after a couple of moments her embarrassment was replaced with a rather mischievous look.

"Mmm, I don't knoww."

"W-what do you mean you don't know?"

Noelle smiled and carried you to the backside of the tree, the sound of the river flowing made it a peaceful area.

"Noelle cmonn!" you wiggled in her arms. She giggled.

"Or what?" her giggling continued as she begun to spin around with you. Her movements were the same as when she weilded her claymore.

"Ahhh! Noelle-haha!" you started laughing along with her as the world around you spun. Noelle pressed her forehead to yours, still laughing.

She slowed down and leaned against the tree. She slid down until she was sitting with you in her lap.

"Bleghh, Noelle you made me dizzy." you huffed and rested your head against her chest. Listening as her heartbeat made a steady rhythm.
She moved her hand to your head and began stroking your (hair/hijab). You could feel the cold metal of her gaunlet.

"Noelle?" you listened as she quietly inhaled hearing her name. Her heartbeat began to rapidly pick up.

"I think I love you."

Your breathing came to a halt.

"W-what?" you raised your head to see Noelle's face. Her eyes were averted to the side, a visible blush spread over her face.
You softly smiled and cupped her face with your hand. She looked at you with nervous eyes.

"I think I love you too."

Noelle's face lit up, her blush deepened. It was almost like she couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"You- you love me too?" she smiled widely though you could tell she was panicking underneath.
You nodded and placed a kiss on her cheek.

"Yes, I love you too Noelle."

"I... I-I" her face was a bright red. You giggled at her loss of words. You were about to remove yourself from her lap before both her hands cupped your cheeks.

"May I kiss you!"

The sudden blurt out froze you in thought. You felt your own face heat up.

"W-what?!" you looked at Noelle puzzled.

"I asked if I may kiss you!"

Through the shock and surprise you managed to nod.
Noelle furrowed her brows and puffed her cheeks. She gave you a quick peck on the lips and pulled away.

The embarrassment on her face was clear. She let go of your cheeks and tucked her face into the crook of your neck.
Her soft breaths sent tingles up your spine. You leaned into her touch, letting out a sigh you didn't know you were holding.

Noelle wrapped her arms around you and pulled you closer.
You both enjoyed each other's embrace to the sound of the river and nature. The sun rays relaxed upon both of your faces. Eventually, you both slid into a comfortable sleep.
