"Lumine!"
It was the break of dawn. The world felt silent as Paimon floated in a hurry over to Lumine. Lumine was bruised and scathed badly.
She slightly limped as she carried her sword in her hand. Paimon immediately started freaking out.
"Paimon, I'm fine. I promise." Lumine looked at Paimon, giving her a strained smile.
"You need to stop scaring Paimon like this! Next time you go on an commission take me with you!" She huffed, crossing her arms.
Lumine only nodded as she made her way to a giant oak tree. She sighed in relief when she let her body rest against the tree.
She made her sword vanish as she slid down, letting herself sit on the ground. Her eyes trailed around, looking at the bruises and cuts littering her arms.
"What did I tell you about being reckless?"
Lumines head whipped up. Her eyes wide in both panic and relief. But when she looked around, she saw nobody but Paimon.
Her eyes drooped, her gaze landing back on the ground. Paimon looked at her with concern. "Lumine? Are you feeling okay?"
"Yes, I just thought..." Lumine trailed off, not wanting to finish her sentence. She knew what she thought, she thought she heard you.
She knew how ridiculous it sounded considering she watched you get brutally crushe- no. She shut her eyes tightly.
She didn't want to remember that moment. What happened that day scarred her more emotionally than losing her brother.
Lumine made a pair of bandages appear in her hand. She thought she might as well patch herself up so nobody finds her like this.
Paimon floated above her, watching as she began wrapping the cloth around her arms.
"Then you just loop it right here... and there! You're as good as new!"
Lumine remembered the way you'd teach her how to take care of yourself. She looped the cloth and tied it off.
Lumine didn't want to admit it, but she hated the way she missed you so much. She hated the way you sacrificed yourself.
