Chapter 5~Another One

A swift breeze blew across the mountains giving them a cool new-leaf morning as the early sunrise glowed.

Adder'Flare sat on the high rock waiting for Owl'Star to call a meeting .

Soon Owl'Star walked up the high rock.

"May all cats old enough to climb the mountain please gather under the highrock for a clan meeting!" Owl'Star bellowed while she sat down.

"Good Morning Sun-Clan!" Owl'Star said with a soft smile, "Adder'Flare will send out dawn patrols later but first I would like to say that Star-Clan has blessed us with a wonderful New'Leaf there are more fish in the river than there ever has been!" Owl'Star said with a wide smile. 

"Alright everyone, So yesterday they where rouges in Sun-Clan territory so whoever is on patrol please be careful." Owl'Star said.

"Dawn Patrol will be Pine'Snout and Sage'Cloud." Adder'Flare said while her yellow eyes pierced though the cats.

Sage'Cloud stood up with excitement rushing through her.

"You can go after the meeting, Sage'Cloud." Owl'Star said trying not to laugh.

"Sorry," Sage'Cloud giggled, sitting back down.

"We have plenty of fresh-kill, and we shall celebrate Star-Clans generosity by holding a feast tonight." 

"And now, meeting dismissed," Owl'Star said while nodding at Sage'Cloud as a sign to go on patrol.

Adder'Flare walked calmly towards Mouse'Eye, "Hey! Wanna explore I saw something amazing, and you seem like the right cat to explore with!"

"Sure!" Mouse'Eye smiled and nodded.

Adder'Flare made sure no one noticed them leaving the clan camp.

"So what is the thing you saw?" Mouse'Eye asked happily.

"Oh, nothing important," Adder'Flare said while the two passed through some bushes.

Soon they came to an open clearing. "Its just past here." Adder'Flare said.

Mouse'Eye saw that they couldn't see camp anymore he was a bit worried.

Soon the forest ended and a clearing came into view, then Mouse'Eye let out a scream.

His dead mate lied there in a pool of a dark red liquid, the ginger she's coat blood-stained.

"So you betrayed us?" Adder'Flare said grinning.

"..Why..." Mouse'Eye whispered, crying softly to himself.

"Why her?" Mouse'Eye had tears soaking his brown fur, as he said it a bit louder.

"It's a shame truly," Adder'Flare teased.

"I thought I could trust you," Adder'Flare finished, while an evil grin formed on her snout.

Mouse'Eye hissed, spinning around and trying to scratch Adder'Flare with his claws, aiming for her chest or snout. He then lunged at Adder'Flare pinning her to the ground with a small hiss.

"How did you find out?!" Mouse'Eye hissed, while trying to sound brave.

Adder'Flare hissed back, unsheathing her claws, scratching Mouse'Eye's eye, and taking it out.

"You want to fight now?!" Adder'Flare hissed.

She kicked her back legs, flinging the tom off and lunging at him, nearly pushing him into a tree.

"Sap'Mist is dead. Deal with it," Adder'Flare said with a bloody and menacing grin.

Mouse'Eye held one paw to his missing eye, and hissed but the pain was to much so he stopped hissing and toppled to the ground.

Just then, two rouges bounded out of the trees, and surprisingly Adder'Flare smiled.

"Kill him." Adder'Flare said, flicking her tail at Mouse'Eye with pure evilness burning in her eyes.

Adder'Flare spun around wiping her claws off on the grass before catching a rabbit and heading home.

"Where did you go?" Owl'Star asked, as she padded through the tunnel.

"I noticed that we aren't getting enough food from hunting patrols and wanted to help out." Adder'Flare responded, with a small shrug and a smile.

"Alrighty then!" Owl'Star said, turning away to her den.

Blossom'Foot sat at the edge of the medicine den.

"Well done." She whispered to Adder'Flare.

"All in a days work," Adder'Flare said while passing by.

~The Afternoon sun glowed brightly as the mountain valley became a beautiful gold color~
