Chapter 20 ~ The Planets Collide

Cream'Paw shuttered once they crossed the foul smelling boarder. 

Adder'Star's footsteps where quiet and soft, so he tried to replicate that.

Pine'Snout's ear twitched, as he looked over. "Why are you walking funny? Do you have a thorn in your paw or something?- " He asked quietly, slowing his pace to be the same with Cream'Paw.

"What?-No. This is my quiet walk." Cream'Paw argued.

Pine'Snout gave an amused chuckle and nodded. "Try like this?" He noted, placing his paws lightly on the ground. 

Cream'Paw attempted himself.

"Good job." Pine'Snout winked, padding forward once more. He still had a feint limp, but nothing too severe.

Cream'Paw felt a burst of pride, continuing quickly to keep up.

Cream'Paw caught up, and looked at the swampy area, chills running down his spine and his fur on end. 

It was quite different compared to SunClan's territory, the area rocky, full of moss and soaked trees.

Cream'Paw watch In horror as the camp come into view, his eyes fixing on the flat stones facing upwards. 

"Follow my lead. Don't speak unless spoken to, and don't attack unless attacked first. Don't show any signs of fear or anger." Adder'Star mewed sharply, turning around and running her paws along the rocky path of the entrance. 

The felines nodded, following the leaders orders and padded forward in mere silence. 

Adder'Star fixed her eyes on the bramble dens, walking past a small cave and a large rock ledge. 

"Halt!" A ginger tom hissed. "Back off Flame'Snarl." Adder'Star fixed her eyes on the smaller tom.  "We've come to speak with your leader. Get out of our way." 

Flame'Snarl's hackles raised, as he glared up and stepped out of the way, sneering at them as they passed.

Cream'Paw narrowed his eyes but paused, remembering what Adder'Star had said. He took a small breath and kept his gaze on Adder'Star.

Flame'Snarl eyed Cream'Paw for a moment, and rolled his eyes sharply. 

Bear'Paw came stalking forward from the entrance, and his ears flattened. "What are those cowards doing here!" He snarled.

"Talking to the leader." Flame'Snarl growled back.

The two narrowed their eyes in a near unison, Bear'Paw clicked his teeth, padding past the deputy and going to Cream'Paw. "Hey bee-brain." Bear'Paw hissed.

Cream'Paw ignored him, his eyes still fixed on nothing in particular.

" I see your girlfriend isn't here."  Bear'Paw snickered, stepping on Cream'Paw's tail. 

"Cotton'Paw isn't my girlfriend bug-brain." He took a breath. "Don't." Cream'Paw warned, his voice lower than usual.

"Don't what?" Bear'Paw mimicked, bobbing his head back in forth like a bird. He quickly stuck his paw in the way, tripping Cream'Paw.

Cream'Paw whipped around and let out a hiss, his ears pinning and his tail swishing around. "Don't trip me! And Leave. Me. Alone. Im only here on patrol with my clanmates."

"Did I ask you, fox-tounge!? Shut your maw! No one cares about what you have to say." Bear'Paw snapped, batting Cream'Paws ear in annoyance. 

"Then why were you listening? And apparently you care, because if you didn't, we wouldn't be having this stupid conversation. I was minding my own business until you came over and started pestering me like a thorn in the paw." Cream'Paw mewed flatly. 

Bear'Paw gave him a furious glare. "Remember who's clan you're in, Lizard-Face!" 

"Its hard not to- it smells so bad here." Cream'Paw shot back.

"Thats. It." Bear'Paw yowled, as he bared his teeth, and unsheathed his claws. "You will not make fun of my clan. " He was only a bit bigger than Cream'Paw. He lashed out, tearing through Cream'Paws pelt and making blood grow. 

Cream'Paw yelped in surprise, but slashed at Bear'Paws face and lunged at him. The two tussled, nipping at each others tail and slashing at each others faces.

Adder'Star's head whipped around, as did the other warriors, at the angry hissing and yowling.

Cream'Paw raked his claws along Bear'Paw's stomach, and snarled, his pelt bristling and his yellow eyes slitting. 

Bear'Paw yowled in fury, clawing at Cream'Paws flank and throwing him off into the Meeting Rock. He tumbled downward for a moment, dazed and slightly confused. He landed in front of the towering stone.

Bear'Paw's hissing seemed to snap him back, so Cream'Paw quickly sprang to his feet watched as Bear'Paw lunged forward. 

Cream'Paw was ready his time.

 Cream'Paw shoved Bear'Paw's flank and pinned the tom in pure fury. He placed a paw on his neck, his weight not harsh enough to kill, but harsh enough to warn.

"Leave me alone you Mouse-Brained, Sharp-Tongued, Rat-Faced jerk!" Cream'Paw snarled, towering above the other apprentice. 

Bear'Paw looked up in a minor surprise, his wilting ears covered in the gritty dirt. Bear'Paw's green eyes quickly slitted in fear, as he open and closed his mouth a few times.

Cream'Paw narrowed his eyes, and leapt off to see Adder'Star giving a soft smile towards him. Pine'Snout was grinning, and Clover'Pool was chuckling. 

"That outta' teach em'." Clover'Pool giggled.

Beaming with pride, he gave a small nod and they continued.

 They reached the leader's den, Fern'Star slipped outside to greet them.  "May I help you?" She demanded.

"Actually." Adder'Star mewed. "We've come to say, you need to keep your patrols off out territory."

"And why exactly should I do that?" Fern'Star narrowed her eyes.

"Because if you don't, your clan will go against you. We've taken down the first patrol, and I'm quite certain that we're doing it once more right now. " 

Fern'Star let out a quiet hiss. "Fine. Next gathering I will tell the fellow leaders though." She lifted a head snobbishly.

Adder'Star chuckled, turning tail and beginning to walk out of camp. 

Cream'Paw eyed Bear'Paw who still had his ears pinned.
