Chapter 12~Gathering

Adder'Star waited as the clan gathered under the Highrock as soon as she called.

Cream'Paw watched the new leader, listening quietly as she spoke.

All the cats looked up, waiting for her to speak.

"Rose'Skull and Petal'Thorn are now known as warriors and are free of their queen duties. And please collect the travel herbs from Violet'Leap, and prepare for the gathering." she called out. "There will be no patrols today. Meeting Dismissed."

The cats murmur happily to one another and to the two renewed warriors.

Adder'Star smiled softly and leapt down trotting to the medicine den. 

She poked her snout inside, her eyes adjusting to the dim light.

"Violet'Leap?" She asked, her voice echoing into the dull cave, as small bits of evening light flickered within it.

"Here!" She called back, herbs clamped in her maw and pinned under her snout.

"Herbs ready?" She asked the newly made medicine cat.

Violet'Leap nodded, padding outside into the clearing.

She dropped one bundle in front of each cat attending the gathering.

Adder'Star padded to the entrance of camp. "Whoever's ready, come join me!"

 Pine'Snout smiled, as he padded past the apprentice. "Ready?"

"Yup! I'm so excited!" Cream'Paw yelped, rolling around in the dirt.

"Good." Violet'Leap said in return, dropping the last bundle in front of the apprentice. 

"Eat these, it'll help you when we begin our journey." Violet'Leap gave a small nod to the herbs she placed in front of him.

"You ready?" Adder'Star asked.

"Yup!" Cream'Paw nodded.

"Alright, Let's go." She said, spinning around and bounding out of the tunnel. 

Cream'Paw padded along side Cotton'Paw who seemed just as excited for the gathering.

They took a sharp right and began to climb down the mountain, leaping across small ravines and streams until they reached the bottom.

They began to continue as they padded along towards Fourtrees, and began to spot the four towering oaks.

Cream'Paw watched for a moment as the trees got closer and closer, Trying to keep himself from gaping in awe. 

They stopped once they reached the hill. 

"Ready?" Adder'Star asked her clan-mates.

"Yup." Python'Snap replied, her tail swaying as she edged closer to the gathering.

Adder'Star nodded and leapt down the hill.

"Good evening," She called to the fellow leaders, bounding up the great rock.

The clan skidded to a stop behind her and spread out among the sea of cats.

Cream'Paw was so excited, as his eyes darted among the crowd, searching for the apprentice's.

Cotton'Paw matched him exactly, as the two rushed through the gathering and reached the apprentice group.

"Hello!" Cream'Paw said, skidding to a stop and sitting down next to the apprentices, As Cotton'Paw did the same.

"Greetings!" A gray tom smiled.

"I am Seal'Paw, you?" He said, lifting his white paws which made It looked like he had been stepping in clouds.
