Adder'Star yawned and peered around within the dark den, shaking her head as if it were to cure her drowsiness.
She sat up slowly and stretched.
She grasped at her ears stressfully.
She looked towards her bare paw. "Owl'Star, you will not be forgotten." Adder'Star glared up and slowly went towards the clan rock.
"May all cats able climb the mountain, please join me under the high rock!" Adder'Star looked towards Python'Snap who was chatting with Sage'Cloud and Birch'Fall.
Sage'Cloud looked away and nudged Python'Snap towards the high rock, before standing up, going over to sit with Clover'Pool.
"Morning Sun-Clan, I hope the night was peaceful." Adder'Star looked towards Python'Snap who was now awkwardly sitting down on the high rock.
"Today we will have a full moon. Let it be known as the honoring of the ones who have met Star-Clan." Violet'Leap looked up chewing on the cherry blossom sticks in her mouth.
"Python'Snap will now do the patrols." Adder'Star sat straighter.
"Todays patrols will be hunting, border, and herb patrols." Python'Snap replied to Adder'Star, smiling.
"Birch'Fall and Gray'Fire will do hunting patrols." Python'Snap looked to the toms.
"Border patrols are Twig'Strike And Pine'Snout. And herb patrols will be Violet'Leap and Clover'Pool, and you can bring apprentices if needed." Python'Snap smiled to the apprentices who were freaking out that they get to go on herb patrol.
"Meeting dismissed." Adder'Star smiled at the apprentices who left the camp chatting, Before she went back to her den where Cotton'Paw greeted her.
"Er-Hello Cotton'Paw do you need something?" Adder'Star replied as she stared awkwardly at the she-cat's worried face.
"Yes..., I need you to come with me now." Cotton'Paw ran out of camp with Adder'Star trailing behind her.
"Look at this!" Cotton'Paw leaned over the limp mountain lion.
"What in Star-Clan- " Adder'Star poked the mountain lion with a claw.
"It's stinking up the whole mountain!" Cotton'Paw chirped, scrunching up her nose at the smell.
"Thank you for showing me this I'll get push it towards the waterfall or something." Adder'Star gaged at the scent as it touched the roof of her mouth.
"You may go back to the camp while I figure out wha to do with this." Adder'Star nodded towards Petal'Thorn who was looking towards Cotton'Paw, worried
"Cotton'Paw hurry! There's a butterfly!" Petal'Thorn smiled.
"Coming Mama! " Cotton'Paw smiled and ran off.
"Hm- I suppose I'll get rid of this...somehow." Adder'Star started to push the mountain lion towards the cliff, holding her breath and taking a break here and there for fresh air.
Once Adder'Star reached the edge, she backed up and inhaled sharply before pressing forward to push it off.
For a moment, the carcass didn't budge. But soon enough it tumbled downward.
The mountain lion came crashing down.
"What in-" Wave'Briar yelped as the mountain lion crashed on top of him.
A loud thud became from down below.
Adder'Star looked down to see the mountain lion on top of Wave'Briar, nothing but his shaggy tail sticking out from under it.
"Oops? -" Adder'Star laughed.
"You're welcome, Owl'Star." Adder'Star watched for a moment, and ducked away, laughing.
Adder'Star padded back to camp, the sun shining in the blue sky.
Once Adder'Star broke through the ferns, padding through the camp and to her den.
Soon enough the sky dipped over under the mountain, and Adder'Star was tired after solving problems all day long.
Adder'Star started to drift to sleep.
Something mumbled, and soon made her come to her sense's when she was greeted by someone she knew well.
Adder'Star's eyes opened, as she peered around cautiously.
The clouds where dark, and the moon and stars where so close, she could almost touch them. She looked down to see the mountain range.
"Adder'Star?" A hazel eyed cat looked down to Adder'Star who was looking around, confused.
"Owl'Star?!" Adder'Star stood up to greet the Star-Clan she-cat.
"Hello," She replied.
Owl'Star's pelt was glowing and was scattered with soft, dim stars you could only see up close. Owl'Star was almost see-through, but her cheery smile was still spread across her snout.
"I see you have taken care of an enemy to Sun-Clan." Owl'Star forced a smile.
"Oh- yes. About that I didn't mean to-" Adder'Star was interrupted by Owl'Star, who hushed her with her tail.
" The death of Wave'Briar is done. We cannot change the past."
"We must focus on the future. You are being a good leader, and Python'Snap is the best deputy you could have chosen for Sun-Clan." Owl'Star smiled.
Adder'Star nodded.
"How is Star-Clan?" Adder'Star asked.
"Oh! Wonderful. Its very pretty here, and there is so much prey! I have also saw the past leader Dawning'Star! She is the third leader after-" Owl'Star paused as if she didn't want to say the second leader's name.
"Wasn't Dawning'Star the one where she died in the mountain fire trying to save the kits?" Adder'Star turned her head to Owl'Stars fading tail.
"Owl'Star!" Someone murmured so softly Adder'Star could barely hear.
Owl'Star simply nodded in return to Adder'Star's question.
"Im Sorry, I must go...Please try your best to keep the clan safe!" Owl'Star smiled and turned into into a white starry dust.
"Good-bye?" Adder'Star replied.
Adder'Star lied down, and tucked her tail close to her.
Soon enough, she started to drift asleep again.
~ The starry abyss was glazed by the moon's light, as the sun climbed up. ~
