Chapter 6~Herb Patrol

Blossom'Foot Yawned, sitting at her den's entrance as the morning sun shone into the camp.

Owl'Star bounded up the Highrock with a slightly sad expression, before sitting down.

"May all cats old enough to climb the mountains and catch their own prey, please gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!" Owl'Star bellowed.

The cats gathered under the Highrock's mossy carpets, as Blossom'Foot's Gaze followed towards the leader.

"Sadly, One of our warriors, Mouse'Eye was found dead in the Vally, who had killed a Fluffy-Clan warrior, but had died due to blood-loss." Owl'Star said slowly.

"Now, Adder'Flare can you please send out patrols?" Owl'Star asked.

"Yup!" Adder'Flare responded.

"Alrighty Meeting dismissed!" Owl'Star said, bounding off the rock and padding to her den.

"Ok.. Clover'Pool, And Pine'Snout do border patrol." Adder'Flare demanded.

"Alrighty!" Clover'Pool said as she padded towards the exit of the camp, Pine'Snout not too far behind her.

Blossom'Foot stood up from her spot, and padded over to her apprentice. "Im going on herb patrol, so please watch the clan while i'm gone. "

"Alright!" Violet'Paw smiled, and went over too the medicine den.

"Good luck!" Blossom'Foot called behind her, as Violet'Paw sat down.

"Hey Sky'Leaf! Wanna come help me with herb patrol?" Blossom'Foot asked, padding up to the warrior.

"Sure." Sky'Leaf shrugged, standing up.

The two cats padded out of camp, as Blossom'Foot scoured the area looking for herbs, Sky'Leaf not too far behind her.

"Over by the water-pool usually grows yarrow and that's what I need so we gotta go there. " Blossom'Foot said, Changing directions to the pointed mountain side, with the water-fall that flowed into a large and deep river that then fell down the mountain and into the gorge.

They continued to the water-pool and found some lavender, along with thyme and juniper berries.

"Almost there!" Blossom'Foot said, her voice slightly muffled from the herbs in her maw.

Blossom'Foot bounded up the hill and watched the water-fall flow down into the large, and deep stream.

Blossom'Foot put the herbs down and glanced at Sky'Leaf who climbed up the hill behind her.

"Here, Put you herbs down right here. "  Blossom'Foot said.

"mk." Sky'Leaf said placing her herbs down into the pile.

Blossom'Foot grinned, and unsheathed her claws.

Sky'Leaf lifted her head.

"What?-" Sky'Leaf said, as Blossom'Foot lunged at her, knocking her sideways.

Sky'Leaf lied there, slightly stunned but she shook her head, and stood up hissing.

Blossom'Foot hissed back, and leapt onto Sky'Leaf, pinning her.

Sky'Leaf unsheathed her claws, before using her back feet to fling Blossom'Foot off.

Blossom'Foot flung backwards but stood back up and rammed her head into the she-cats side, pushing them backwards near the water-pool, as Sky'Leaf hissed slightly, as she dug her claws into the other dame's shoulder.

Blossom'Foot yowled, and began to lash out at the she's face.

Sky'Leaf jerked back, as she stepped backwards closer to the water, hissing as her tail swayed back and forth and her ears pinned.

Blossom'Foot lunged forward, but Sky'Leaf leapt onto the she,  and dug her claws into Blossom'Foots flank.

Blossom'Foot yowled, and flung the she-cat off, before she lunged, she used her back feet to leap upwards and onto Sky'Leaf.

Sky'Leaf struggled under the she-cats weight, as Blossom'Foot placed her paw onto Sky'Leaf's neck.

Sky'Leaf paused and twisted her front paw to dig into Blossom'Foots thigh.

Blossom'Foot hissed, and tumbled off the she-cat.

Sky'Leaf stood up, and took another step backwards, as the water was closer to her feet.

Blossom'Foot grinned menacingly, and rammed into Sky'Leaf sending her backwards and into the deep stream.

Blossom'Foot padded over to the she who's head was dipping in the water furiously, then she placed her paw onto Sky'Leaf's head.

Blossom'Foot dunked the she-cat underwater.

Sky'Leaf whacked Blossom'Foots paw, as Sky'Leafs head dipped above water slightly, with a gasp for breath Sky'Leaf tried to lash out at Blossom'Foot but The she pushed her head back under.

After a moment, Sky'Leafs black paw dipped underwater with a furry of bubbles.

Blossom'Foot Lifted her paw as the limp body floated down the river.

"I'm sorry." Blossom'Foot whispered.

~The afternoon sky glazed the mountains with bright colors ~
