Manik's pov
It was an awful day today, I had this really important meeting which went well but then it turned into shit when my pa lined up 5 more meetings why you ask well because disha said yes on my behalf which was fucked up
I haven't talked to her since evening when I found out she said yes on my behalf, hell becasue of this bullshit I haven't even been able to call Nandini and ashi.
I miss them, yeah call me fucked but I do miss both of them, I was so lost in my thoughts when my driver said we had reached, I look beside me to see disha on her phone making me shake my head
I didnt care to open her door, I just walked in the house, I knew she was following me but I needed to see Nandini umm no I mean ashi becasue she is with Nandini right that's why I said that ya
"Manik" Nandini called me when she saw me walking in, my eyes met hers and I could tell she was worried for me
"Shut up" disha yelled at her and I swear it was taking every inc of control to not burst out in anger
"I hope your meeting went well" she said and I nodded
"Great, did you eat" she asked and I shook my head
"Who are you to ask him such questions" disha said grabbing onto my arm
"Umm Manik I know you are tired but can you please hold ashi for a few minutes she has been trying to stay away becasue she wanted to see you before she sleeps" Nandini said and it broke my heart to hear that
"Can't you see he is tired" disha said and I jerked my arm from her
"Give her to me, I'm sorry I had had a long day" I mumbled to Nandini and she smiled a little
"Its okay I understand" she said
I moved my arm to a sleepy ashi and she freaked out gripping Nandini tighter
"Baby its papa, you wanted to see him right" Nandini said
"Papa" she said
"Princess im sorry" I said as she hopping onto my arms leaving Nandini
"Papa I missed you" she said and I kissed her cheeks
"I missed you too princess, im so sorry baby I jus had a lot of meetings" I explained
"Its okay mumma told me" she said putting her head on my shoulder. I looked at Nandini and gave her a small smile
"Ashi baby come on lets sleep papa is tired na, you can play with him in the morning" Nandini said and ashi looked at me
"Goodnight papa" she kissed my cheek
"Goodnight baby girl" I said kissing her cheeks a few times
She moved her arms to Nandini so I gave her to Nandini and she walked upstairs with ashi. I sighed at how stupid I am to neglect my daughter because of meetings, I walked upstairs to my room to get freshen up
"Manik why aren't you talking to me" disha asked
"I dont want to, I will get angry if I talk to you right now so its better we dont talk" I said
"Fucks sake Manik, she has walked in out life one fucking day ago and you are already being distant towards me" she raised her voice
"Keep your voice in check, I dont give a shit about this petty little thing you have going with Nandini. You said yes to meeting on my fucking belief without consulting me, not just that, you answering my phone is something we have talked about before too, I dont want you answering my phone" I said trying not to yell
"WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS MANIK" she screamed
"BECASUE I NEGLECTED MY DAUGHTER BECASUE OF THESE FUCKING MEETINGS, SHE WAS WAITING FOR ME, DONT YOU GET THAT" I screamed back
"She isnt such a baby anymore Manik, if she wanted to wait then its not yours fault" she spoke like it didnt matter at all
I chose not to reply, I hopped in the shower and came out wearing sweats and a t shirt. I was about to lay down when there was a knock on the door
"Come in" I said
The door opened and Nandini walked in with a plate in her hand, which was weird becasue I didnt ask her for anything
"Hi umm you didnt eat anything umm I had made chicken fried rice so I bought some for you and disha" she said handing me a plate with two spoons
"Thanks" I mummbled stuffing my face, I was famished, the last thing I had was the paranta she gave me before I left
"WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE DOING IN MY ROOM" disha said coming out of the shower
"I just came to give food" Nandini said
"I dont care, get out" she said
"Disha watch it" I said
"You are fighting with me for her, for a fucking bitch"
"You can call me whatever you want, but if you ever cut the call like you did today im not gonna just be quiet about it, what if it had been something serious" Nandini said and I was confused
"Well it wasn't so"
"Listen disha, you dont like me its understandable, I get it you think im trying to snatch your boyfriend its something I can comprehend even tho I am not. But will you please take ashi into consideration, she is a child that you are bringing in the middle of this" Nandini said
"Nandini she is my daughter, my blood so do not teach me how to take care of my daughter" disha said and I saw hurt in Nandini's eyes
"I understand but she"
"I don't give a shit Nandini, don't ever come in between manik and I or ashi and I"disha yelled
"Manik, umm I just wanted to ask if I could bring ashi with me to the office, I don't wanna leave her alone in the house"
"She isnt alone there is a maid that comes" disha said
"I was talking to Manik not you" Nandini said
"Ya you can, umm what was that comment about cutting the call" I asked
"It was nothing, Nandini get out" disha said
"Disha shut up" I said looking at Nandini
"Umm ashi was missing you a lot so she wanted to talk to you, I called but she answers and yelled on the phone its fine I mean it wasn't as important I guess but I was just saying that what if it was important" she said and I gripped the fucking spoon trying not to snap disha's neck
"Im sorry that you couldn't reach me, it won't happen again" I said to nandini and she nodded
"Drink the lemon water after, it should help you sleep, night" she said and left making me smile a little
"Are you fucking smiling at her" I heard disha
"I have been trying to be calm but you are pushing it disha, stop fucking making me angry or you know what im capable of. The shit you pulled today with he meetings was something I could get past, but the fact that you cut nandini's call when she clearly mentioned ashi is so fucking careless, this bullshit that you are doing is fucked up" I said
"Im sorry okay but she is getting inbetween us and I can't have that"
"Listen to me loud and clear disha, my first priority is ashi and it will always be ashi" I said
"Fucking hell its always ashi before me" she screamed
"Yes it will always be, she is my daughter" I said and disha stormed out of the room but I was too tired to go after her
I ate and fell a sleep not caring about disha, she is pissing me off these days anyways.
