I attended 2 meetings and I was just going over stuff for the meetings I have tomorrow since nandini is presenting her designs which im not worried about, she is great at her job. I heard banging on the connecting door that's in-between Nandini and I's cabin which was weird becasue she never bangs like that she just knocks
"Papa papa" I heard ashi making me jump up and run to the door
I opened the door to see her crying, she just hugged my legs crying, I picked her up,
"What's wrong abby"
"Mumma" she said I walked inside to see nandini with her head down on the table
"She is sleeping" I said and ashi cried louder
"No mumma is not getting up" she cried
"Nandini, nandini" I shook her a little and she wasn't getting up
I put ashi down and grabbed nandini's phone
"Cabir I need a doctor in nandini's cabin now" I yelled
"Is she okay"
"I dont know just get one in here asap like now" I yelled and cut the call
"Shh ashi, mumma is okay, don't cry baby" I said wiping her face as I place her in her little fort
I picked up Nandini and put her on the couch, her face was pale, she had these bags under her eyes and I felt even more guilty, I tried shaking her but she just wasn't waking up, her breathing was fine because I could find her pulse but it was scaring me
Ashi ran up to me and hugged my legs crying looking at nandini, I didnt know how to comfort her when I was scared myself.
"Ashi shh baby you are strong right, you can't cry like this"
"Mumma is not waking up, mumma" she cried and it broke my heart seeing her crying like that, she kept forwarding her hands to nandini
"She will be okay baby" I said wiping her face again
A few minutes later the door opened and the doctor walked in with cabir, I got up with ashi in my arms to let the doctor check nandini
"Chachu, mumma wake her up please" ashi cried looking at cabir who looked just as helpless as me
"Meri Jaan she will be okay, you know mumma always says you are her strong girl right" she nodded hearing him
"Then will she be happy if you cry like this" she shook her head at him
"But mumma" more tears fell fro her eyes
"Is she okay uncle"
"She is okay, just a little fever, it seems like dehydration and you need to make sure she doesnt miss meals, her sugar level is low"
"When will she wake up, are there medicines" I asked
"She will wake up soon, ya here is the prescription and take good care of her, she is okay little girl" he said to ashi who wiggled in my arms so I let her down
She ran to nandini and sat beside her on the couch caressing her cheek, while crying herself.
"Thank you uncle"
"No problem manik, take care" he said leaving and I wiped my cheeks feeling tears
"Manik she is fine, you can't cry like this, especially having ashi crying, you need to be strong" cabir said
"I know cabir, but she, look at her cabir, she looks like she hasn't slept in forever and its all becasue of me" I felt like shit for putting her through this
"Mumma utho na please ill be a good girl, no more spongebag please mumma" ashi cried
I couldn't do anything, I had to stand there and watch our daughter cry and my wife unconscious, I guess that was the punishment I deserved for making her sad for the past week
"Baby she will wake up just give her some time" I said caressing nandini's arm holding ashi in my arms
"Mumma ko uthao na please papa" she cried in my chest
"Shh baby, its okay, mumma is fine" I tried to ensure her but I wasn't sure myself, I wasn't sure if she is fine
"Shh stop crying asu" I caressed her back as she hiccuped in between her sobs
A few minutes went by and she was sniffling in my chest now, it broke me not being able to stop her cries, I looked at cabir and navya but they both had the same expression as me.
"Sweetie come here, lets get you something to eat" navya said and tried grabbing ashi but she tightened her grip on me
"Navya rehenai dai" I said caressing ashi's head
"Baby lets go home" I said walking to cabir but ashi refused to let go of me
"Baby you want mumma to wake up right" she nodded
"Then let me pick her up and lets go home, we can spend the rest of the day with mumma" I said and she losened her grip on me as cabir pulled her to him
"Guys go get in the car, ill bring her" I said and they both nodded heading out grabbing nandini's bag, the whole time ashi's eyes were on nandini as I picked her up and followed them
We got in the car, cabir was driving while I was in the back with my girls, nandini in my lap and ashi was right beside me on the other side, she was holding my arm looking at nandini the whole time. We got home and I placed nandini on the bed, ashi hopped up with cabir's help and sat down beside nandini with watery eyes
"Baby no more crying" I said kissing her head
"I am a bad girl this is why mumma will not wake up" she asked
"No bacha, mumma is just not feeling well, you are such a good baby, please don't cry"
"Manik come here" cabir said and navya sat beside ashi while I left the room with cabir
"Get a grip on yourself manik, you cannot be this weak and cry infant of ashi like that, she is already freaked out seeing nandini so please just keep it together until nandini wakes up" he said patting my back making me take a deep breath
"Cabir when will she wake up, its been more than an hour, I can't watch her like this just do something" I wasn't feeling like myself, it felt like a part of me was going away
"Its just a minor thing manik, she will wake up soon, she is okay, probably didnt have water or skipped lunch. Its something that happens she is just a little underweight so it affected her more than it would to me, she will be okay" he explained and I know he is right but it just wasn't helping
