"Manik" we heard navya making me run inside
She was starting to wake up, I sat beside her caressing her arm, ashi was still sniffling.
"Manik, ashi" she chocked a little getting up
I helped her sit properly and handed her some water which she gulped down with difficulty. Her eyes locked with mine and im sure she could see them watering a bit
"Mumma" ashi cried jumping on nandini
"Hi baby" nandini mummbled kissing ashi's head
"Mumma ap this ho" she asked crying
"Baby shhh I am okay, im sorry you had to see me like this" she apologized gosh she is so selfless
"Ashi be a good girl pinky promise, don't do" she couldn't even finish talking
"Ashu baby you are a good girl, it won't happen again pinky promise" she said linking her pinky with ashi's
"Promise" ashi said kissing Nandini's cheek
"Promise, now stop crying baby, what have I told you"
"Crying is not good" she said reciting nandini's words
"Exactly so lets make you some pizza and I will even give you some umm coke" she said kissing ashi's nose
"Pizza" her eyes finally twinkled making me breath a little
"Yes pizza with lots of cheese" nandini said kissing her cheeks and tickling her
"Hehhe mumma no" she wiggled laughing
"No no ashi is sad so we should make her happy" she said tickling her
"No ashi not sad"
"Pakka" ashi nodded and nandini gave her some water from her glass. She wiped ashi's face and ashi laid her head on nandini's chest holding her while nandini caressed her hair and kissed the top of her head
"Im sorry I don't know what happened" she mummbled looking at me
"Its okay" I replied caressing her thigh a little over the blanket
"Kya yar nandini, esai kon karta hai tu kab dyan rakna sikhegi apna" navya said
"Galti sai ho Gaya na" she mummbled
"Yeh koi galti ni hai nandini, you need to eat on time and this habit of yours of not drinking water is getting worse" cabir said and I closed my eyes and took a deep breath
"I know I am sorry, it won't happen again"
"The fuck is wrong with you nandini" I said in the calmest voice I could
"Language Manik" she said pointing at ashi
"Navya can you take ashi down for a bit" I asked and nandini shook her head
"No, let her stay please at least till she falls into deep sleep" she said caressing her hair
"She is sleeping nadini" I argued
"She will wake up if you try right now just give her a few minutes" she said cuddling closer to ashi
"We are staying tonight" cabir said and I nodded
"Navya my designs" nanidni said
"Shut up" I said looking at her
"Manik behave" navya said
"No seriously, she is worried about her stupid designs when she was unconscious for more than an hour" I was getting pissed off now
"Those aren't stupid designs, you need them tom for your meeting" she said in a quiet voice
"I dont give a shit about that stupid meeting"
"Manik shut up, get out if you are just gonna yell at her" cabir said
"Take ashi downstairs and put pillows beside her if you are gonna go in the kitchen or something" I said ignoring what he just said
"Don't teach me how to be an uncle" he said and navya picked up ashi in her arms
"Navya take this put this with her" nandini said giving navya her dupata and the two of them walked outside the room closing the door
"What the fuck is wrong with you huh, no seriously the fuck is up with you" I said in a semi yelling tone and she just looked down
"I am not talking to walls nandini" I said tilting her chin up
"Im sorry" she whispered
"For what" I asked inching closer
"For everything, for hurting you that night and for today, I didnt mean to faint it just maybe my iron is low or something I dont know" she said
"Two things, one you should be sorry for fainting today because the doctor said your sugar level is low, so when was your last meal becasue it sure as hell wasn't breakfast and second this is bullshit, what you said did hurt me but I was wrong for dragging it out" I confessed
"I didn't mean it Manik, I was just rambling I mean I did mean it ahh I mean I" she was rambling again
"Shhh it's okay breath" I caressed her cheek holding her face
"I just didn't want to feel good about all the love and attention from you if it was temporary or because you miss someone else" she said looking down
"Look at me nandini" I said still caressing her cheek, her eyes moved form her hands to my eyes
"Firstly it wasn't temporary and second it isn't because I miss someone. Nandini I like you, I have since the first day you waked in my cabin, but ashi happened so I closed off those feelings becasue I knew I could't feel like that. I have never and I mean ever touched you or been flirty with you because disha was on my mind or that I was missing her" I explained and she leaned in my touch
"Then why manik, because if you show me this type of love and attention I don't think I can stay sane, I will fall for you hell I probably am falling for you" she mummbled making me smile
"Because you mean a lot to me nandini, I would take a bullet for only a few people and you are one of them, I love you babe, and I know it may be early to say this and it may even sound insane but I love you. Seeing you like this today" I could feel the emotions making me stop talking
"Im sorry I put you and ashi through something like that, it won't happen again I promise" she said and I nodded
"I am sorry nandini, I should have talked to you instead of ignoring you and im sorry that you got sick becasue of me" I said and she giggled
"It's okay I get it, and I got sicky because I hate water and I keep forgetting to drink some oh and I didnt even have food for a while but its all good im okay" she said like its no big deal
"Last meal" I asked and she had to think about it
"Umm lunch yesterday" she said and I shook my head
"Never do that again" I said gripping her neck while my thumb still caressed her cheek
"I love you too" she replied
"You love me" I asked being shocked and she nodded biting her lip
"I have for a long time, dont ask navya but I had a crush on you since that meeting umm where you wore this black shirt and some ripped blue jeans ahh you looked really hot and I mean that anger of yours which scares the shit out of me is kinda hot too, but I mean 70% of the office is obsessed with you, umm the rest are boys so can't say much but ya I wouldn't be surprised if they had a crush on you too" she rambled making me chuckle
"Thank you babe, i love you" I said
"I love you more, you won't leave right" she asked scouting closer and I pulled her by her waist
"Jaan even if I wanted to, I couldn't because you my little one have became my world. But in all seriousness I love you, I really do"
"Maybe I should have fainted earlier" she teased
"Shut up"
"Monster" she mummbled putting her head on my chest
