I picked her up in my arms and grabbed the tray as well, walked to the kitchen and I placed ashi on the counter
"Here you go honey" I said handing her a warm cupcake with cream cheese frosting
Seeing the cupcake her eyes twinkled a little making me smile, she licked the frosting from the cupcake and gave me a huge smile
"Yummy" I asked washing the dishes
"Super yummy, thank you mumma" she mummbled
"Your welcome baby" I said kissing her head
she looked at me then back at her cupcake then back at me making me wonder what she is up to now. She took some frosting on her finger and put it on my nose
"Hahhaha mumma you look like that big reindeer" she laughed becasue the frosting was red
"Naughty devil" I said wiping it off making her giggle
"Should I also do that" I asked and she shook her head
"No mumma, I am nice"she said eating the rest of her cupcake
"Acha Matlab mai nice ni hu" I asked and she shook her head making me open my mouth being shocked then she started laughing
"You" I said ticking her making her laugh
I swear her smile and the sound of her giggles and laughs makes me happy, seeing tears in her eyes made my heart hurt, she is such a good baby and seeing her crying like that made me wanna snap disha's neck
"Mumma cupcake" she said looking at the last bite
"No baby, you have it" I said kissing her cheeks and she put the last bite in her mouth handing me the plate, which I washed
"Lets get you in bed" I said as she hopped in my arms
"Mumma can we go to park tomorrow" she asked
"Of course silly" she smiled and kissed my cheek
I got her to brush, gave her a little bath becasue she was all sticky from the paints she was using earlier.
"Baby what is this" I asked caressing her shoulder that had a red mark
"D" thats the only thing she said and I took a deep breath not wanting to cry or get angry infront of ashi
I put her in her favourite candy Pajamas, I put her on the bed and she grabbed my dupata asking me to sit next to her
"Baby what happened before I came in" I asked her
"Mumma" her voice chocked as her eyes watered again
"Shhh you are my strong baby right, please don't cry cutie, I need to know so I can talk to papa about it"
"No mumma don't tell papa please" she said and I was confused
"Why baby"
"D will not like that" she said and now I was confused
"She won't do anything I promise, ill be always with you and you know papa loves you too right" I asked and she nodded
"I was playing with the book I found"
"The one D had in her hand" I asked and she nodded
"D came in and got angry at me for playing with her book, I said sorry but she got more angry and she hit me with the book" ashi said with watery eyes and that was it for me
"Shh im sorry baby, I promise she will not hurt you okay" I said and she nodded
"I tlust you Mumma"she said smiling
"Thank you silly, I am gonna make sure D doesn't trouble you okay but you have to promise me that you'll tell me everything D has done" I said and she nodded but then yawned
"Aww my baby is sleepy, come on lets get you to sleep" I said
"No can we watch spongeob" she asked and I nodded
I turned on spongebag on the tv in her room, tell me why Manik has a tv in her room when she is only 3, she put her head on my chest watching tv which didn't even last for 20 minutes because she fell a sleep
I caressed her face, it hurt so much to see her cry today that I am willing to yell at Manik and disha.
"Nandini come out right now" I heard Manik's voice making me look up to see him leaning on the door
I put ashi on the bed, set up pillows beside her and left my dupata with her because I didnt want her waking up and she was holding it anyways. I dimmed the lights and also put her favourite dolphin toy beside her
I walked outside and Manik dragged me by my arm to the living room and pushed me on the floor which hurt a little I'm not gonna lie
Manik's pov
This morning I noticed something red on disha's neck and I swear it looked like a hickey but she said it was her curling iron. Her hair was curled so I didnt question further but my morning started off horrible.
It got worse when I got to work, cabir and navya aren't around cause they are on a vacation, so I was handling everything from the past month. Then someone misplaced a file so that pissed me off.
Disha said she is gonna leave becasue she has a headache which I was kinda glad about, since I got married she is getting on my nerves. I got home and disha ran to me crying.
"What's wrong disha"
"Manik, that Nandini"
"What happened" I asked putting my keys down
"Nandini yelled at ashi for getting colours all over herself, and then when I tried to stop her she yelled at me and closed the door thowing me out
My anger reached peaks hearing she yelled at ashi, I didnt care much about her yelling at disha but ashi is off limits, I marched to ash's room to see ashi sleeping on Nandini's chest
"Nandini come out now" I said and she put pillows around ashi and left her dupata with her
