Nandini's pov
"Ashu this is bad, you teamed up with papa" I said hopping out of the shower
"He said he give me gummies" she confessed and I smiled
"Acha ji, will you share with me" I asked and she nodded
"You not angry" she asked
"No baby, I'm not angry" I said and she smiled
"Park mumma"
"Umm lets ask papa" I said
"You so pretty mumma" she said seeing me jeans and a crop tee
"Aww my beautiful baby, thank you" I said picking her up
"I like jeans and top" she said
"More than my suits" I asked and she made a thinking face
"Its okay dont think too much baby, lets go trouble your papa" I said and she grinned
"Ashi walk" she said and I let her down, she held onto my finger and started walking towards the guest room
She was about to enter without knocking but I stopped her and she made this adorable pout
"Baby we should always knock" I said and she nodded knocking
"Come in" hearing his voice I pushed the door open to see him sitting on his phone
"Nandini what's your favourite colour" he asked
"White" ashi answered making me smile
"Very well then" he said
"Why are you asking" I asked
"Nothing umm ashi baby you wanna go out for ice cream" he asked
"Papa park too" she said and he smiled nodding
"Lets go" he said getting up and picking up ashi
"Mumma chocolate" ashi said in manik's arms
"No chocolate, you and your Mumma have finished all the chocolates already, you both will have some cavities" Manik said
"Bad papa" ashi said putting her head on his shoulder
"Yes bad manik very bad" I teased making him glare at me
"Shut up" he mumbled and I laughed
We walked to the car, Manik was talking to ashi, I swear I never know what goes on in both their head, they talk about some weird things like zombies and cars.
"Mumma sit" I heard ashi and saw Manik opening the door for me
"Thanks" I mummbled sitting down with ashi in my lap, Manik got the driving seat and started driving
"Babe what's wrong' he asked making me look at ashi to see if she heard him calling me babe but she was way to concentrated on Manik's phone playing a random game
"She is busy, now whats wrong" he asked again
"Nothing" I mummbled
"Nandini I know we haven't had the best relationship but we can work on it right" he asked and I nodded
In reality my mind was filled with many things, about us, about ashi, about disha, about how life is gonna be, will I have to leave after a year. It was just very overwhelming, I mean I'm not gonna lie when I say I loved the afternoon with Manik I really did.
But im not sure how life is going to go with my luck, when I signed up to marry manik I didn't think about all this and now its all I can think about especially seeing manik's behaviours towards me
"Nandini"
"Huh" I said looking at him
"We are here" he said making me look around to see the park
"Mumma you sad" ashi asked
"No baby im not sad, just thinking" I said getting out of the car with her
"Slide" she screamed running towards the park making me shake my head
"Careful ashi" I yelled but it was of no use because she was already climbing the stairs
"Nandini" I heard manik's voice making me look t him
"Come on" he grabbed my hand and took me to a bench close to where ashi was visible
"Whats wrong" he asked again
"Umm nothing I was just thinking about life" I said looking at ashi
"Hmm what about life" he asked pulling me closer
"I think I might umm get an apartment close to the mansion" I said and his face fell
"What the fuck are you talking about" his voice held anger
"Disha is gone, ashi is safe so you could probably get her a baby sitter and I umm I can help with finding one for her but"
"Shut the fuck up nandini, just shut up, what is going on with you huh?" He questioned
"Nothing is going on I just"
"Just what, just thinking about leaving our daughter" he said
"No I just don't want her getting too attacked to me"
"SHE ALREADY FUCKING IS, NOT JUST HER SO AM I, YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE" he raised his voice making me take a deep breath
"But I have to one day" I said and his jaw hardened and that one anger vein on his forehead popped out
"Mumma hahaha mumma" I heard ashi running to me laughing
"Hi baby"
"Mumma im hungly" she said
"Lets get you ice cream" I said seeing it's getting dark
"Yummy" she said falling on me
"Careful sweetie" I said and she giggled
"Papa ice cream" she said pulling on manik's t shirt
"Ya princess" he said getting up
We walked to the ice cream shop and sat down, we ordered ice cream. The whole time manik didn't talk to me and as much as I hated it, I was glad to see him talking to ashi
"Papa" he hummed cleaning her mouth
"Ashi wants chips" she said making me laugh
"No junk food, ill make you some yummy rice when we get home" I said and her eyes twinkled
"Chicken" she said and I nodded
"Home home" she said throwing her hands up
We drove back home, the whole ride I was talking to ashi, but manik didnt say a single word, his grip on the wheel was tight I could tell but the way his viens popped out.
When we got home I made some chicken fried rice for all of us, dinner was quiet well ashi was falling a sleep the whole time and manik was quiet as usual
"Last bite" I said and ashi opened her mouth
"Come up I have something to show you two" manik said after dinner
"Surprise" ashi yelled and manik nodded chuckling a little
He picked up ashi and I followed him upstairs to his room, he opened the doors and walked in while I followed him
"Wow" ashi mummbled and started running around in the room
The room was completely different like it had been renovated, it had hints of red white and black, there was a hammock in a corner, a little book shelf with many books. The floor was carpeted, the curtains were a light colour, the two side tables had pictures of ashi, manik and I. There was a one side open crib next to the bed, a huge picture of manik, ashi and I on the wall behind the bed
"Papa new room" ashi said
"Yes baby, our new room"
"Our" she looked confused
"Yes baby, yours, mine and Mumma's" he said and my eyes opened wide
