"Mr malhotra, let me inform you that if this case gets to court it will not be in your favour" riya said before I could say anything nandini did
"I beg to differ" she said
"Well with all due respect mrs malhotra, you aren't a lawyer" riya said
"I agree I am not, however I am a mother and I beg to differ with you because you have heard just Disha's side which is great but if the child you are fighting for doesn't even want to spend a minute with her biological mother so spending the rest of her life with her is beyond anything" nandini said and I swear this girl is something
I chose not to say anything because Nandini was handling it perfectly so there is no point in letting my anger ruin this
"That would not stand it court because for all I know you may be torturing her" riya stated
"Quiet the opposite ms riya, I don't think a child runs to a person who is courting them for comfort like you just saw a couple minutes ago, and to add to that lets actually work something out, I wouldn't want to waste your time and resources in a case you would lose" damnnn I have married the right girl for sure

"I meant her actual father not her sperm donor" nandini said and I almost started laughing but nandini glared at me
"Lets cut this bullshit, riya you and I both know that taking this to court isn't the best decision for you" I said
"How are you so sure" she asked
"I have a video of your client hitting my daughter, she sighed papers last night that state she is in favour of me and nandini having ashi because she doesn't want ashi" I said and riya was startled a little
"Now tell me would a judge really give her ashi's custody seeing how abusive she is and the judge will definitely ask ashi for her opinion so if you want go ahead take it to court but it'll be a waste of time, but it's up to you" nandini said
"Ashi is 3, the judge wouldn't trust her judgement" Disha said
"Actually the child's opinion matters the most, im sorry Disha I cannot take this case, not just me, no lawyer would take it, you don't know your child at all, I would suggest not going ahead with this. I am sorry Manik and Nadine for bothering you two" riya said getting up
"No problem, thank you" nandini said
"Thanks riya" I said shaking her hand and then she left
disha, harshad and the other dude left too behind riya, I fell back on the chair sighing, this gave me such anxiety, like I couldn't even breath properly having that doubt that she might take ashi take away from us, but nandini handled this so much better than I could have
"Ho Gaya" she asked

"All the stress, anxiety, anger, frustration, is it gone" she asked
"Oh shut up and come here" I said pulling her chair closer to mine and hugging her
"Ashi is right, you are a baby" she mummbled in my neck
"Just with you" I said kissing her ear
"Get off me you sweaty human" she said giggling making me laugh
"Oh whatever you love it" she laughed hearing me
"I told you that I would handle it"
"I know babe but ashi and you are someone who I can't lose at all, at any cost so it stresses me out" I said and she put her hand on mine caressing my arm a little
"I get it Manik but you can't get this worked up, you tend to let anger overpower you" she said and I sighed putting my head on her shoulder
"I know" I mumbled closing my eyes
"Mr malhotra I will kill you if you fall a sleep" she said and I was already half a sleep
"I am still your boss"
"And I am still your wife" she said making me smile
"I am so glad mom and dad forced me to marry you, damn I don't think I could have found someone like you" I confessed

"Woh toh hai, tum ek hi piece kafi ho mera liye" I said kissing her shoulder, I could feel her having goosebumps which made me smile
"Manik hath na, you have meetings" she said
"No, let me sleep" I said
"Manik if someone comes in" she couldn't even finish becasue the door opened
"Sup asshole" I heard cabir's voice
"Hi" I mumbled
"Shayad yahi hai par" he sang making me groan
"You worked your magic my love" he said and kissed Nandini's head
"I sure did" nandini said
"Well I just wanted to come say hi, but I didnt know I would see this not that I mind, I actually love that you two are closer" cabir said
"Shut up, such an annoying idiot" I mummbled
"Where is navya" nandini asked
"At home, she was tired, I just came to see if everything is okay but it seems more than okay and my little baby is sleeping so ill just see you guys tom morning" he said
"Ya get out" I said and nandini smacked my arm
"Manik, thats rude"
"Yes manik thats very rude, bye guys" cabir said and kissed ashi's head
"Bye dude" I said
"Bye cabir" nandini said
He left and I closed my eyes again but nandini stopped caressing my arm making me look at her

"Manik ap so jaogai please na" she sounded so cute
"Im sleepy babe, like really sleepy" I genuinely was
"I know but don't you have meetings"

"Okay then lets go home and you can sleep, ashi should be up by then so ill play with her" she said
"No you are gonna stay close to me, I sleep better with you around" I said with no shame

"Fine, get up lets go, I have to feed ashi she will get hungry soon" she said and I got up
