Manik's pov
Nnaidni's eyes widened as soon as she heard it was our room, I could tell she was shocked but she isn't a side thing like she said. This wasn't me proving it to her, it was more like of something that I wanted, I needed.
I needed to make nandini feel secure and not just that I have to apologize for neglecting her for a whole month. I had this planned and thought she would love it and stuff but she dropped a huge fucking bomb at me about her leaving
I don't even know why she said that becasue honestly I am not letting her go away from us, from ashi and I. I may not love her but im sure we could be friends or work something out, ashi loves her way too much for me to let her leave
"Papa I sleep with you and Mumma" ashi said trying to get on the bed
"Yes baby, umm should we bring your toys too" I asked and she nodded
She took me to her room where she grabbed her dolphin, spongebag and a teddy bear that nandini got her not too long ago. We came back and nandini was still standing in the same spot, I knew we had to talk but I don't want ashi hearing everything
"Ashi baby come on lets brush" Nandini said and ashi yawned making me smile
"I have her stuff in the bathroom you don't need to go to her room, ill have the rest of the stuff in her room by tom" I said seeing her walking out
She slightly nodded and took ashi to the bathroom, all I heard was giggles and laughing from the bathroom making me smile. They both came out in pyjamas, so im guessing they found the closet, I had both their clothes put in the closet as well.
Ashi climbed up in bed with Nandini's help and laid down right in the middle of the bed, her arms and legs out making me laugh at her
"Princes what are you doing" I asked chuckling
"Starfish" she said and nandini giggled
"Bacha its late you need to sleep" she said
"Mumma spongebob" her obsession with spongebag I tell you
"Okay but only 1 episode" nandini said and ashi nodded
she slapped the bed beside her for nandini to come sit with her but I could tell she was very conflicted on sitting down, even though I had everything changed not just the bedsheets but the whole bed.
"Nanidni sit with her, im gonna be in my office for a few" I said and walked to ashi
"Goodnight princess"
"Goodnight papa" she said but her focus was on the tv making em chuckle
I left the room and went to my office to look at the papers and other things that could possibly come in-between nandini and I having ashi's full custody. I looked over a whole bunch of things and nothing major came up.
Calling it a day I walked back to the room and saw ashi sleeping on nandini's chest while nandini was stroking her hair and watching spongebob
"She is a sleep" I said and nandini looked at me then at ashi
She carefully laid her down, covered her with blankets and kissed her cheek. She turned to me becasue she knew our talk was pending.
"We have to talk" I stated
"About what" she asked sitting on the edge of the bed
"About what you said earlier"
"What did I say" she asked like she didnt know
"The babysitter, leaving ashi and I, what was that bullshit" I asked
"Its true manik, you know it and I know it, I have to leave eventually so why not now" she asked
"What do you mean nandini"
"The contract manik" fuck I totally forgot about the contract
"The contract states I have to leave in a year once im done paying you back" she said
"Nandini that"
"Yes, that was the deal" she said making me think back to a few days before our wedding
FLASHBACK
"Manik get married" mom said to me
"Mom I told you I have a girlfriend and ashi is doing great so there is no way I am gonna get married"
"Manik tujhai meri kasam" mom said and left
Fucking hell man I dont want to at all, why would she even think that I would get married when I have a girlfriend and a daughter, shit man
"Sir I umm I need I" I heard my designer nandini
"What do you need just hurry the hell up I dont have the whole day for you" I screamed at her
"Umm I umm I need money for something personal, please sir"
"Do I look like a charity bank to you"
"Please sir please, I I will d anything you want please I really need it I will give it back to you with interest I promise please sir" she spoke
"Fuck off nandini" I yelled already being pissed of with mom's kasam and all
"Thank you anyways sir" she mummbled and was leaving
"Wait, nandini" I said as an idea came to mind
"You said you will anything right" I asked and she nodded
"Yes sir please"
"Okay marry me" I said and her eyes widened
"What"
"Yes, marry me, its gonna be a contract wedding, a year tops till my mom settles down seeing me married. You can have however much you need in exchange." I said and she nodded
"Okay sir but can I get the money today itself" she asked
"Ill have the papers done in an hour, sign it and the money is yours" I said and she nodded
"Thank you sir I really appreciate it" she said and left
She came back in an hour and sighed the papers without even reading them, I transferred the money in her account and told mom I was ready to get married. I let her know we are getting married in 2 days.
FLASHBACK OVER
"Don't worry I promise ill come visit as often as I can for ashi" she said pulling me out of my thoughts
"SHUT UP" I screamed
"Manik ashi" she said caressing ashi's face, I took a deep breath and grabbed nandini's arm
"She is fine now come with me" I said and made her sit on the hammock, I pulled my desk chair and sat infront of her
"You are not gonna interrupt or think anything until im done talking is that understood nandini" I asked and she nodded
"You know I need words"
"Yes manik" she said
"That contract was something that was a very irrational thing that I did, mom was forcing me and seeing you ask for money I just whatever, it was my mistake. When we got married I didnt care at all, I even asked mom if I could pay you more money so we don't have to deal with the contract. That was the last time I thought about the contract and to be honest I sort of forgot about it until you just reminded me. I agree we were bound by a contract and you were forced to be mine but I promise its not something we have to worry about" I said
"It is something I have to worry about manik, I don't wanna hurt ashi in a year and have her be broken, id rather go now and have her cope with things" she said wiping a tear
"Nandini you aren't going anywhere I dont give a shit about the contract" I said irritatedly
"Manik, there have only been two people in my life that have loved me, my granny and ashi. I can't lose ashi, you have understand that everything I touch, I destroy and I never want anything bad to happen to ashi. She means the world to me" tears fell from her eyes
"And those two people still love you nandini" I said wiping her tears
