It was a peaceful Friday. The school day just ended, which means club activities are in session for certain clubs. The music club is no acception.Honoka Miwa after being burnout and had no motivation to write any songs finally got her motivation and eventually wrote a song.
"So....What's the song about?" Airi Suzumiya asked. "Well~! It's about losing someone dear to you, and when you're alone without them, it just feels lonely. You wanna cry, but you assure yourself, 'Don't, don't cry', but the truth is, you wanna say it out loud so badly, 'Don't go, please'!" The song writer explained.
"A...A sad song?! Hono, what's up with you lately?!" Hibiki said, a bit worried. "Huh? No, it's nothing. Just because I wrote a sad song, that doesn't mean I'm sad too, haha!" Honoka said, sporting her usual cheeky grin. "Phew...." Hibiki blurted out.
"I wonder who would be a good singer for a sad song like this?" Sayaka wondered. "Ah! Maybe Honami-chan can sing this song! She always do well with sad songs! Isn't that right, Honami-chan?" Yuta Hanasato shouted out, and then turning over to Honami Shimizu.
Honami Shimizu is the Ultimate Idol. She has a big reputation in the idol industry besides Sayaka and her idol group, so ruining it can be a big no-no for the idol. She has sung multiple happy cheery songs, but most of the time she would also sing more depressing and sad songs.
Honami's fans think her soft voice fits the atmosphere of most sad songs in general, so she would constantly sing sad songs.
"Ah, another sad song? Alright, I'm up for it!" Honami said, determination visible in her voice tone. "That's great then. I'll try my best to come up with a great melody that Honami can sing to." Airi said. "Alright then! That wraps up today's meeting, see you all next week!" Sayaka announced.

A few days have passed, and it is now Monday, September 26. School's out again, meaning that club activities would start. However, as Honami got to the music clubroom, she noticed no one's there yet. "Huh, I guess I'm early." Honami muttered to herself.
She was alone.
Alone.
How does it feel to be alone?
It's painful to the idol, obviously.
She doesn't wanna be alone right now, but damn she's lazy to get out of the clubroom.
She only sighed as she thinks back at the song Honoka wrote.
"Well~! It's about losing someone dear to you, and when you're alone without them, it just feels lonely. You wanna cry, but you assure yourself, 'Don't, don't cry', but the truth is, you wanna say it out loud so badly, 'Don't go, please'!"
That song....
It's a lot like her.
Honestly, she cares about Yuta so much.
He has been with her for most of her life at least.
The thought of losing him feels brutal to her.
What if, one day, he has to leave, and then she'll be left all alone again?
She can't stand being alone, to be honest.
It hurts.
Especially after being abandoned by her own parents. Ouch.
...
Why is she like this?
Does she have some kind of abandonment issue or something?
...
"Seems like it." She muttered to herself, sighing afterwards.
"Why am I like this, though? I never even knew who my parents are, so I shouldn't act like I'm so attached to them or something, right?"
Silence met her voice.
She fell silent.
"...Right...?"
If not then...
That would hit hard.
".....Yuta....."
Yuta...
She can't lose him.
She cares about him.
He cares about her too obviously.
And so...
"I have to protect him. At all costs. No matter what." She finished her sentence.
She can't bare losing her manager and best friend since childhood.
She loves him.
Love
Something that she never got from her parents.
"Honami-chan?"
A voice called out to her. The idol jolted up and looked over to the door to the music clubroom.
Well speak of the devil.
"Ah, Yuta...." She said. Not caring about everything else for now, she ran up to the manager and hugged him tight. "A-ah?!" He yelped, but eventually hugged back.
"....Don't....go...." Honami muttered, though her voice was muffled by Yuta's chest, since she buried her face deep into it.
".....*Giggle* I won't! Don't worry, Honami-chan..." Yuta reassured.
He's not fully sure about his words, but...
He's try his best to live up to it.

Honami angst is cool right /jYeah anyways, song title and the whole theme of this chapter (+ the song Honoka wrote) are references to the song "Don't Go" (Ikanaide in Japanese) by SOHTA feat. Kaai Yuki! That song is so sad fr I just feel sadness whenever I listen to it :(
I've been pumping out a lot of chapters lately lol, ig I just have motivation lmfao
Ok bye for now :)
