Chapter 4: Sweets Presentation

"Ah....I see....That's sad....Well then, let me help! Just leave it all up to me! Yeah, don't worry! It's no big deal! You tried helping me with dealing with Melody Rhythm's newest song so now it's my turn to help you. Hope you get better soon! Bye!"

Hibiki closed her call with a specific someone just as Akane walked into the room. Today is the day an event is going to be held at Hope's Peak Academy. What event, exactly? Well, a sweets presentation event, of course!

Akane and a certain upperclassman from class 78-B decided to help around with the event a bit so that things would go smoothly. That is, until Hibiki got a call from said upperclassman.

But the question is, who is it?

"Hey Hibiki-chan, what's wrong? I heard your conversation with whoever you're talking to on the phone, and now I'm a bit curious." Akane asked, walking up towards where Hibiki is as the latter put her phone inside of her cardigan. They're in an empty unused room right now. They'll be using this room for the sweets presentation event today.

"Oh, it was Airi, she said that she can't deal with the sweets presentation event today because she caught a cold." Hibiki explained. She then continued talking. "I offered her help, and she accepted it, so now I'm helping you and some other people deal with this event!"

Hearing this, Akane slightly frowned. The other day, Kanade told her that Hibiki isn't the best at cooking or baking in general. "Are you sure? It's really no big deal-!" Akane reassured, slightly nervous.

"Yeah! I'm sure about this! I totally can cook!" Hibiki said, pointing towards herself with pride. Oh Hibiki, sweet, sweet, Hibiki, you don't know the truth of how people think of your cooking, don't you?

The other day, Hibiki made some food in the cafeteria and gave some to Yamato, it didn't ended that well though. Ouch.

"......" Akane fell silent, before sighing anxiously. "Y-yeah, alright....I'll 'trust' you on this, Hibiki-chan...." Akane said.

And so, some other students walked in and then they got ready for the sweets presentation.

"C'mon, Ms. Nijiue! We have to go to the sweets presentation!" Kanata exclaimed towards Iroha, who simply tried to catch up to Kanata.

The two girls decided to stop by at where the sweets presentation is being held. They were rather curious about the event itself, so they decided to go. They wanted to taste the sweets the students made for the event anyway.

"S-slow down on the running, Kanata-! I can't catch up-! *Pant* *Pant*" Iroha yelled out, trying her best to catch up to her friend.

By the way, Iroha felt odd being called 'Ms. Nijiue' by Kanata, despite the fact that they both probably are almost the same height, which makes things even more odd to the painter.

Nonetheless, Iroha tries to get used to being called 'Ms. Nijiue'.

"Ah! Right, I was running a bit too fast! Sorry about that, Ms. Nijiue!" Kanata apologized, and then muttered, "Phew, if I ran too fast, then I might trip and fall and then I'll injure myself..."

"Um, I was just excited! Haha! It's not everyday a sweets presentation event is held, so I wanted to try going to one now." Kanata explained, earning simple nods from Iroha. "I see....Then I'm excited too! Let's go then!"
