Kanade was a little worried for Hibiki lately. It's the winter break now, so no more school for them until January. Lately, Hibiki hasn't been coming out of her dorm room or talk to other people. She also hasn't been active in the class' group chat, which worried the younger twin.
The worst part of all is that Hibiki seems hesitant to talk to Kanade either. Kanade didn't like that. So that's why, today, Kanade decided to finally talk to Hibiki about this.
Kanade just got back from somewhere. Well, somewhere with Iroha, at least, and after awhile, she's finally back at her shared dorm with her twin sister. The guitarist opened the door, only to find the vocalist laying on her bed, looking as motionless as ever. Her dull eyes can be seen.
Kanade sighed, walking into the room and closing the door behind her. The sight before her made her even more worried. This isn't good. "Um, hey...?" Kanade called, trying to get her sister's attention. Hibiki only stayed silent, not saying a word as she shifts her position on her bed.
"....Sis?" Kanade called again. She swore she heard Hibiki groan in possible annoyance. More silence. Kanade couldn't take this any longer. "Hibiki!" She shouted. "Ugh, what?!" Hibiki shouted back in annoyance.
Kanade sighed again. "Can you listen to me for a bit?" She asked. Hibiki ponders this question for a moment, before 'hesitantly' nodding, sitting up on her bed.
"Alright. Well, you know...You can't just feel discouraged about your talent as a vocalist just because you think I'm better than you." Kanade said. "But it's the truth, you're better than me. You've always been better than me in anything, Kanade." Hibiki responds.
"Yeah, but even if you think that, just look at you now. What made you be able to be in Hope's Peak right now?" Kanade asked. Hibiki was silent for a moment, until she finally responds again. "Because I hit up to the 7th octave, wasn't it?" Kanade nods to this.
(I think i got that part wrong but that's what i remembered shit pls correct me ugh)
"But, now that I realized it, what was the point...?" Hibiki asked again, not really expecting an answer. "...You're always better than me in every way possible. And then, I just- I just harass and bully you as if you're the bad person in this situation, but no. That's not the case."
Hibiki then kept on rambling. "I've always been such a bitch to you, and you seem to always give into all of the shit I've done to you. It was....just unfair for you, wasn't it? So why....Why did you accept all of that?" And she kept on rambling. "You're always the better twin than me. Yet, I've been such a bitch to you all this time. I shouldn't have treated you that. If I accepted the fact that you were better than me in every single way possible, then--"
"Ugh, enough of that!" Kanade shouted again, grabbing both of Hibiki shoulders and gripping them tightly, but not too tight. "No matter what, we're both the superior twins here! Even if I'm 'better' than you, you're still amazing too! Please realize that it doesn't matter who's the better one here. What matters is that we're together in this!" Kanade said.
Hearing all of that, Hibiki's eyes widen, and before she knew it, she's already teary eyed. "Kanade..." She muttered. Hibiki then hugged the younger twin. Kanade hugged the her back, rubbing the older twin's back to comfort her.

The next day, Hibiki walked through the hallways of the school more happily then usual. Well, she's not really 'walking', she's actually just 'skipping'. Yamato, who was also walking through the hallways, noticed the vocalist and immediately approached her.
"Hibiki!!" Yamato called, grabbing Hibiki's attention. "Ah! Mato! Hey!" Hibiki said, waving her hand. "Huh, you're way more happy compared to a few weeks ago." The inventor said. "Haha, yeah. It's thanks to Kanade. Now I know that I'm a cool twin too!" Hibiki said with pride. Yamato laughed at that. "Thank god you're feeling a lot better now."
"Anyways, why not we hangout for the day? It's a weekend, so why the hell not?" Hibiki offered. "Yeah!! Let's go!!!" Yamato exclaimed excitedly. And so, the two friends ran through the halls, ignoring Riko Chinen yelling "Don't run in the halls...!" at them.

That night, Anju Kamei could only cry herself to sleep. The maids at her house are somehow busy or asleep to notice her coming home that evening. Her parents are also not home at the moment.
The girl was covered in scars and bruises. Tears could only fall down to her cheeks as she remembers the pain that Fukuhara-sama gave her.
Fukuhara-sama.
The hypnotist has revealed her plan on destroying the hopes of the reserve course students, betraying Anju altogether. Anju felt heartbroken hearing the whole plan, and tried objecting to it, but then eventually, she was met with Fukuhara-sama's fists.
It hurts.
That's how it felt to her.
She felt betrayed.
And then, at that moment...
She realizes she needs to stop Fukuhara once and for all.
