It was nighttime, and Tsurugi Kinjo's NOT asleep right now. He couldn't sleep somehow, so he decided to get himself some food. Thankfully enough it's not 10 PM yet, so the dining hall won't be closed yet.

He just got out of his dorm and made his way to the dining hall, until suddenly...

"Tsurugi Kinjo."

He froze after hearing someone call out his name.

He turned around to the source of the voice. It was none other than that goddamn girl, Anju Kamei. What does she want now...?

"Oh, Kamei, hi." Tsurugi greeted. "Hello. What are you doing up in a time like this?" Anju asked. "*Sigh* Kamei, it's still 8 PM, it's not that late yet..." The police officer reminded, earning a simple nod from the reserve course student. "I see." She thought, and thus she said it aloud.

"Anyways, you are heading to the dining hall, correct?" "Huh? How did you know?" Tsurugi asked, a bit suspicious of Anju's intentions. "Well I just do." She responded. A fairly short answer, which makes Tsurugi feel a bit uneasy. What's up with this girl anyway?!

"Hm, so...How's it like being a police officer, Kinjo?" Anju asked again, looking back at the police officer after looking away from him a few seconds ago. "Ah, well, it's tough sometimes, but I manage." He answered.

Anju nodded again, and then, a wave of silence flooded them. Silence. Pure silence. Nothing can be heard. An uneasy type of silence.

...

"Aha."

A laugh(?) can be heard from Anju. "Huh?" Tsurugi thought to himself. This is probably the first time he has ever heard Anju laugh like that before. Hell, this is probably the first time Tsurugi even heard Anju laugh in general.

"Remember that one case you had to deal with?" Anju asked, a small smile forming on her lips. This is starting to get strange. "What case..?" Tsurugi asked tiredly. Suddenly he doesn't wanna talk with this girl anymore.

She's strange.

"The case that almost took your friend's life." Anju responded, causing Tsurugi's eyes to widen in shock. She...knew that. Of course she did. It was aired on TV that time.

It almost took his best friend's life, but thankfully enough that didn't happen. He was grateful, but that was probably one of the most traumatizing experiences he ever had as a police officer.

This isn't right.

"W-well, yeah. Of course I still remember." He said, trying his best to stay calm around the more calmer girl in front of him. "Mhm, poor Sasaki. He didn't deserved that, you know?" Anju said. Tsurugi only nodded.

Kouhei...

God he was grateful that Kouhei didn't die during that incident.

"You know, about your goal to vanish all criminals from this world..." Anju started again, her smile fading to another neutral looking expression. "...Are you sure you can achieve it?" She finished her question, crossing her arms, patiently waiting for an answer.

Tsurugi fell silent. He remembered thinking about it during the camping trip before the summer break when class 79 were first years. Thinking back at that time....He doesn't know the answer either.

It's confusing, really.

Can he really make a dream so vague like his come true.

...

No, right?

No.

No.

No.

No.

No.

No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO--

"No, right?" Anju's voice rings in Tsurugi's ears, snapping him out of his thoughts. "I..." He muttered, trailing off. "Ahaha! How sad~!" Anju laughed again, showing more emotion than last time.

"You'll never achieve your dreams, Kinjo. Please remember that. It's not like I don't support you on making your dream a reality, it's just that it's way too dumb of an idea to be true. You have the most weirdest life goal I have ever heard about in life. It's. Stupid." Anju said, clear annoyance starting to show in her voice.

...

"Well fine then. Whatever. I'm not hungry anymore. I won't be going to the dining hall for tonight. Please leave me alone for awhile, Kamei. Please let me excuse myself." Tsurugi said, speed walking away from Anju, who only watched him with pure amusement on her face.

After she was sure that he's gone, she pulled out her phone from her pocket and dialed a number. She then called that number.

...

"Yes~? Hello? What is it, Kamei-chan?! Can't you see that I'm--"

"No, I can't see, Fukuhara-sama. I'm literally in a different place than you right now. Of course I can't see."

"Okay, okay, yeah! Sorry~!"

"Anyways, what is it?"

"Oh, well I did it."

"Huh--Oh! Ahaha! Good girl, Kamei-chan~! ♡"

To response, Anju only cringed.

"Aha...Yeah..."

"Ugh, whatever. Anyways, what's next, Fukuhara-sama?"

"Hmm....Go do something with that stupid vocalist. That girl is so fucking annoying, ugh!"

"....Alright then."

"As you wish, Fukuhara-sama."
