Chapter 26

~Amber~

I saw the lights on as I slowly walk into the house. I hang my keys up. "AUSTIN?" what's up with me always having to look for people? I walk around and then decide maybe he walked over to Drew's or something. I walk upstairs to change when I see a picture of Jen and I at the beach. I feel some tears slip down my cheeks. I go into Austin's room and I see someone sitting on the bed. I flick the light on "James! What the hell!" I feel my hands fly into fists. "Where's Austin!" I demand. "He's dead I killed him" "WHAT! ON THE SAME DAY AS MY BEST FRIEND YOU COULDN'T EVEN GIVE ME A DAY OFF?!" "No Amber I couldn't and here is how it's gunna be, you are going to date me and not tell anyone about Austin or Jen. You will tell people Austin moved or something" I brought my hand up to slap him but he grabs it and forces it by my side. "I will be here all night so don't even try to leave" he walks out the door. I slam it closed and change into some of Austin's clothes. I don't even have the energy to take my makeup off. I slam my face into the pillows and cry myself to sleep.

~the next morning~

I wake up and immediately shut the blinds. I don't want to see the sun. I crawl back into the blankets and look around for m phone. "I took your phone away" I look up to see James. I almost argued it but what's the point I don't have Jen or Austin. I have no one. Jack! He's coming for my birthday. Of course I won't tell James. "Oh yah and I told your brother that your going on a trip for your birthday." Okay well never mind. I don't have anything to live for. When James left I went over to Austin's closet. I grabbed his pocket knife and went into the bathroom. I locked the door and sat in the bathtub. I turned the shower on and sat down. I ran the knife over my pale thighs. Then my wrists. I let the water wash away the blood. I start to feel dizzy. "AMBER!" I hear someone yell. "AMBER WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU'VE BEEN IN THERE FOR ALMOST AN HOUR!" Wow almost and hour? I guess pain really was intoxicating. Suddenly the door bursted open. "Shit" someone said turning the water off. They pulled me out of the tub rather brutally and put what felt like gauze over my legs and wrists. I suddenly feel soft and silky sheets under me. And with that I fall asleep.

James is so mean. Austin is still alive I repeat Austin is still alive! Well I don't know when or if amber and Austin will ever meet up again but they probably will. :)
