Chapter 3

~Austin~

"I think she's asleep" I whispered to Jen, Amber's best-friend. Jen was a little shorter than Amber. She had long brown hair with blonde streaks. She had a pretty face too but I always thought Ambers was prettier. I never mentioned it to Amber though. I gently lifted my arm off of Amber, and laid her down gently on the couch. Jen covered her up while I made my bed. Jen said she had to go shower before bed. A soon as Jen entered the bathroom and shut the door Ambers eyes fluttered open.

She looked at me and said "Jen gone to shower?" I nodded. "Good she will be in there for a half hour" I smiled and started kissing Amber.

I slowly started kissing her neck and then back to her lips. I kissed her and pulled her down to the air mattress below our feet never breaking the kiss. I didn't try anything with Amber because Jen would be out of the shower any second.

The water stopped and Amber jumped into bed and covered up. Jen came out of the bathroom and we pretended to be asleep. Jen just went to sleep. In the morning Amber's parents called and said they would be home soon. I told her I had to go home.

~Amber~

After Austin left Jen and I cleaned up our popcorn mess and our beds. It was so awesome to see her again. We kinda just sat around 'till 3:00 catching up, but then her mom called her home.

~Austin~

I said I had to go but really I had to go to James's house. I knew Amber told me not to hurt him but I couldn't help it.

I knocked on the door and no one answered. I knocked an waited for ten minutes. No one answered again. I stopped and thought for a minute before realizing where he is. He's probably looking for Amber!

I started my car and texted Amber telling her I was coming over. I didn't even knock I went straight in. Amber ran up to me

"What's wrong babe why did u send me an urgent text?!" I sighed.

"You have to tell your mom about James and I think you should move in with me" Amber's face flushed.

"Why?" She asked hesitantly.

"I think he may be stalking your house"

Amber and I raced down stairs to tell her parents. "Mom we have a problem" her mother looked up. "Austin and I didn't tell you what really happened to me." Now Amber's mom looked confused and scared. "I didn't fall down a set of stairs, James attacked me" her dad stood up.

"It's okay Jarod let them finish" Amber's mom said.

"Austin thankfully showed up and James left" Then I chimed in,

"Jarod and Christen I think Amber should come stay with me for a while."

Her dad shifted his gaze to me and asked why.

I sighed, looked around the room, and finally answered.  "I think James might be waiting for an opportunity to attack Amber again. I think he's stalking her." Her mother paled and her dad just stood there, his face taking on a shocked expression.
