Wednesday - David's POV

Welp, he did it. David has successfully secured his relationship with Chris and he couldn't be happier! For the first time in his life, David finally felt like he loved someone and you know what? It felt right. Although he liked being around his friends and craved being in that social situation, David felt at ease and so relaxed when he was alone with Chris to just get all cuddly and talk. On first glance you wouldn't assume David would be into all of that sappy romance stuff because of how much of a bastard he looked, but he actually didn't mind being affectionate to people. It's one of the things he inherited from his mother.

David was walking home with a spring of joy in his step, practically skipping the whole way home like a giddy schoolgirl from the excitement of going on a date later that night with his boyfriend. He bounced up the steps that led to his front door and stepped inside his home to be met with the smell of tropical fruits with a hint of cinnamon from his mother's candles, a dead give away that she was currently home. He dumped his bag by the coatrack and vaulted over the couch to rest on it while he went off to La La Land to think about his date tonight. That was the plan, until a pillow was tossed at his face which he groaned at his peace being disturbed as he opened an eye to see who the culprit was, his younger sister Jessica.

"Leave me the fuck alone Jess, I'm trying to take a nap." David closed his eyes and rolled onto his side to hide from his sister who jumped onto the couch to sit next to him.

"You looked happy so I wanted to know what was wrong. Did something happen at school?" She sat with her knees pressed against her chest facing David as she reached out a hand to poke his leg for a response from her brother, that response being him extending his leg to kick at Jess but she managed to dodge the attack in time.

"Am I not allowed to be happy?"

"Not without a reason. Did you embarrass one of the new students or something?"

"No. Now leave me alone."

"Did you meet a girl?"

"I said leave me alone Jess!"

"But did you meet a girl?"

"No!"

"Did you meet a guy then?"

"What does it matter? Just let me take a nap."

David could tell that Jess had a smug grin plastered on her face without even having to look at her. When you're an older sibling you tend to develop this psychic ability when you can tell your sibling is being annoying without having to look.

"That wasn't a no. Is he cute?"

David remained silent as he gripped the pillow Jess threw at him that he was now clutching against his chest while burying his face deeper into the couch to escape Jess. He attempted to tune out her voice until she started jabbing him in the leg again to demand his attention.

"Well? Dad isn't here so you don't have to keep secrets."

David glanced at Jess through squinted eyes as he leaned up and scanned the room to see no father in sight. Now that he thought about it, he didn't see his dad's car in the driveway either. Fuck it. She wasn't going to leave him alone until she got her fill of gossip for the day so David folded and sat up to face his sister, still clutching the pillow to the chest.

"Yes, he's cute. We're going on a date later to go see a movie."

"Oooooh, sounds fun. Would I know him? What's his name?"

"He's in my year so you probably won't, but his name is Christopher. I don't know how to say his last name but it starts with an M."

Jess thought for a moment before fishing her phone out of her pocket and scrolling through it for a few seconds. David watched and crossed his arms at how rude his sister was being for looking at her phone while they were talking, until she shoved her phone in his face to show him a picture. "Christopher McCorquodale?"
