Tuesday - David's POV

If there was one thing that David hated with a burning passion, it was science. However, it wasn't just one subject within science, it was the whole fucking course. He hated how complicated Chemistry was, he hated the math in Physics, and he hated having to memorise every single word or phrase and its definition in Biology. Out of all the three, it was Biology that he hated the most. Unfortunately for the boy, that was the class he was currently stuck in.

David was sitting with Craig at the table in the middle of the classroom, a perfect place to hide in plain sight to avoid being asked questions by the teacher. His Biology teacher was called Mr Miller and he wasn't the friendliest man around. He was known for picking on specific students that he believed thought they were too good for his class, which wasn't true, he was just acting crazy. David was one of the students he would pick on since the boy would often be caught dozing off during class, or just as Mr Miller turned around he'd catch the second David's eyes were anywhere but the white board and assume that he wasn't paying any attention.

"Okay class, listen up!" David's eyes snapped up from the doodle he was drawing in his notebook to focus on his teacher as he started speaking.

"I've created a temporary seating plan for today's lesson. Once you see who you are paired with, come collect the work sheets from the front of the class and sit beside your new partner for today." Groans erupted from all over the class at the thought of having to sit next to a stranger rather than a friend. Oh well, at least it was only for today. The one thing David liked about Mr Miller is that he let you sit wherever you wanted.

David looked at the carefully constructed blueprint of the classroom's layout that was plastered on the white board to see who he was sitting beside. As he searched for his name, he begged that he would be lucky enough to still sit beside Craig, only to be disappointed when he saw that his best friend was placed next to the quiet kid at the back of the class. Even though he wasn't happy that he wasn't sitting with his best friend, he also found it funny that Craig's partner was someone who never talks.

After skimming through the names for a few more seconds, David finally found his name and felt his heart skip a beat once he saw who it was he was sat next to. Oh, the gods were really on his side with this one. Upon seeing that he would be sat next to the one and only Christopher with the last name he doesn't know how to say, David grabbed the worksheets for his new partner and walked back to his table to retrieve his things so he could move them over to his new table.

"Uh... hi." David, being the definition of confidence, greeted the boy with a nervous pause.

"Hey." Chris turned to face the boy and greeted him with a smile as he moved his things over to his side of the table to make room for David, even pulling the chair out for the jock to sit on. What a gentleman.

Chris had the luxury of sitting by himself since the other person who occupied his table moved schools. Since none of Chris' friends were in his Biology class, the boy got to have a whole table to himself which he took full advantage of. You would always find him with his items for class neatly spread out along the table, or his bag would be placed up on the table so he could retrieve things easily. If you asked David, he suspected that his bag was only on the table to hide his phone.

David placed his books and pencil case down on the table before he took a seat next to Chris. He grabbed onto the chair and scooted closer towards the table, causing his leg to accidentally bump against Chris. The contact caused the jock to tense up, not knowing if the boy would be mad at being touched. However, since he never said anything or gave David an angry look, the boy sighed with relief knowing that he was okay.

"So... I got us the worksheets. What is it we're doing? I wasn't listening..."

"Don't worry, you weren't missing much." Chris scooted his closer to David and leaned over to his side of the table so they both could read the task on the worksheets. "It says we have to match the phrases with their matching definitions."
