Thursday - David's POV

"These pop quizzes have been kicking my ass!" Craig lumbered into the living room of Chris' house and collapsed onto the couch.

"I don't know why you're complaining, you always do the best out of all of us." Chelsea followed after the blond and shoved his legs out of the way so she could dramatically fall onto the couch.

Brody and the boyfriends would follow soon after and join the two in lounging on the furniture to relax. This week has proven to be very hectic for the students of Evergreen High. Not only was Courtney exposed for being an awful person, which Chris has been refusing to talk about, but they have all been bombarded with spontaneous quizzes for their classes. All of this mayhem being mixed together has been taking a real toll on David. He has never been this stressed before and it was starting to get to him.

"I can't wait for this week to be over." Craig placed a pillow over his face to muffle his groans of annoyance at high school.

"What other classes have you got quizzes for?" Chris dumped his book bag against the side of the chair he was sitting in and unzipped it to find the notebook he kept his timetable for the quizzes in.

"We both just did History so I think that's it for us."

"Nope." David chimed in while he was leaning across Chris' lap. "We've got another one in English tomorrow, depending on if our teacher is in or not." Everyone but Craig and Chelsea groaned at the thought of having to do another quiz since they were in the same English class together.

The sound of Craig's stomach rumbling interrupted the silence that filled the room, announcing to everyone that he was hungry. David smirked to himself as he watched the blond look down at his belly and give it a gentle pat. If there was one thing he knew about Craig, it was that he loved food.

"Sounds like someone is hungry."

"I can't help it. Do you guys want to order something?"

"Or I could just cook for you all." Everyone turned to stare at Chris, completely shocked by his offer. I suppose he has never brought it up before.

"What?"

"You can cook?"

"Yeah, my dad's a chef. Why do you think he's always gone?"

"Whoa! Does that mean you're his, like, apprentice protégé?" Brody hugged a pillow to his chest and eagerly stared at Chris, hoping to get an answer to his question.

"Kind of, I guess. Whenever he goes out of town he tells me a dish to practice. When he gets back home we make it together and swap meals to see who made the best. He says I've gotten really good." Chris beamed with pride at the praise from his father. David could testify, his cooking was very good.

"Did he give you a dish to practice this week?"

"He already did, yeah. But I've been meaning to practice my stir fry. Would you all want that?"

"Oooh, that sounds good." Craig sunk into his chair as his stomach growled, demanding to be fed. His answer was a dead giveaway, and soon everyone else agreed.

"Okily dokily! Can you help me get it prepared, babe?"

"I sure can." David sprung up to his feet and followed Chris as the boy walked towards the kitchen.

Now, David knew how to cook, but he didn't know how to cook. His cooking skills lay with breakfasts and noodles, not meals you'd find in a 5 star restaurant. The jock stood by the countertop as Chris fished through the cabinets for a pan to use. Once he found a suitable pan, he placed it on top of the stove and squirted some cooking oil in the pan. While he did this, he instructed David to retrieve the necessary vegetables and chicken from the fridge. He was more than happy to oblige and quickly fetched the items, pleased that he was actually helping Chris cook.
