Wednesday - Chris's POV
Consider me fed up with the bullshit.
I've been awake for about an hour now doing nothing but thinking. I did try and go back to sleep but my mind was too restless. Ever since that party I've had people constantly up my arse calling me a liar and trying to fight me. We're seniors now. I thought we were above this childish bullying bullshit? I know I shouldn't let it get to me but it just doesn't stop. I was there when it happened. Several people witnessed what Courtney did but she twisted the story to people with a blatant bias. Oh well, I know I'm right and that's all that matters.
Chris leaned over to his nightstand and picked up his phone to check the time. Just 10 more minutes until his alarm went off to wake up the boys for school. Chris rolled back over onto his side to look at the boy sleeping beside him. David always looked beautiful yet peaceful when he was sleeping. The way his curls fell over his face to cover those gorgeous hazel eyes. The way his lips were slightly parted to let out small breaths and quiet snores. As he lovingly stared at his boyfriend, he thought to himself how lucky he was.
Damn... I really lucked out huh? What did I do to deserve such a beautiful boyfriend?
David's arm slowly reached over and blindly felt around the bed for Chris and, once making contact with the Scot, pulled him to his chest to spoon him. For his whole gay life, Chris was adamant that he'd be the big spoon in his relationships. That was until David came along. He hated to admit it, but it felt good having a bigger and stronger body cuddling into you.
"Mnh... good morning." David nuzzled into the back of Chris' neck and plastered kisses all over the skin as he tightened his grip around the boy. "You feeling alright?"
"Yeah, I'm good." A lie. As much as he loved ensuring his loved ones were happy, Chris wouldn't be caught dead telling people how he felt. In his eyes, he was a big boy that could deal with his own troubles.
As soon as Chris got comfortable in David's arms, the sound of Destiny's Child filled the room. Both boys sighed as they rolled out of bed and prepared their school clothes for the day.
"I'm starting to hate that song. What even is it anyway?"
"Jumpin' by Destiny's Child."
"Who?" Chris immediately stopped what he was doing and turned to face his boyfriend. He slowly shook his head as David raised his hands in both defense and confusion.
"What?"
"How can you be gay and not know Destiny's Child? Jesus christ Div, when we get home we're listening to their songs."
"I literally just stared being gay."
"That isn't an excuse. Everyone knows Destiny's Child. Please tell me that you at least know Beyoncé."
"I just think we have very different tastes in music."
"You're dodging the question-"
"I'm personally more of a rock kind of guy where you're more of a pop." David raised his arm and took a whiff, deciding to spray himself with deodorant before putting his shirt on.
"Is that who you think I am?" Chris chuckled to himself as he applied roll-on deodorant to his armpits before putting his own shirt on. He then took his school jumper out of his drawers and slipped it on over his head while he shimmied into his trousers.
"Well... yeah. You're kind of a feminine gay guy, plus you dance too. Come on, tell me your favourite song."
"Tears Dry on Their Own by Amy Winehouse. She's more R&B than Pop." Chris beamed a smug grin and crossed his arms at proving David wrong.
