Now, everyone had warned you and Harry about the so called "questioning stage" every child supposedly goes through but you two had always brushed it off, thinking that Emily wouldn't be one of those annoying kids who loved the word "why". But like many thing during this whole experience of becoming parents unexpectedly, you two had thought wrong.

Although Emily rarely asked "why" questions, she was still a very curious little girl, and bright too might I add. She loved knowing what was going on around her and being up to date with things, which therefore resulted in a lot of questions being shot yours and Harry's way.

That's actually how she found out what her father did for a living, she used to sneak into the home studio and watch her dad create music and although she was very fascinated by the whole experience, she was after all a 5 year old and wanted to know more about her fathers job as a well known singer and also about his songs and the meanings behind them.

"Daddy, why do you make music?" The little girl asked, one Friday evening as Harry walked over to the island in the kitchen to place everyone's dinner down. Mitch and Sarah had also come over for dinner, a tradition that has been going strong for over 4 years and they smiled upon the question, now understanding what you and Harry meant when you told them that Emily was a very curious girl.

"Well I want to be able to express the love I have for you and your mommy so I do that through the music" Harry explained, looking down at his little angel who had now started to move her legs back and forth on the stool she was sitting at making you giggle at how cute she looked.

Harry placed the last plate down and then came to take a seat next to Emily. "Why do you ask, princess?" He questioned, interested in what had brought up this sudden question, he definitely wasn't expecting her to ask any time soon.

"Because I thought you wrote music about fruits" she replied making everyone burst out in a laughter. Well, it was definitely not her fault for thinking so as most of Harry's song were named after a fruit, like Cherry, Kiwi and Watermelon Sugar. The poor girl just wanted to know why her father had an obsession with fruit, to the point he even makes music about it.

"Well I'll let you in on a secret princess, but I don't actually write songs about fruits. I try to trick people into thinking I do" Harry whispered into Emily's ear, he pulls back and playfully zips his mouth making Emily giggle hysterically at how her dad was acting.

"Silly daddy! So what's watermelon sugar about?" She asked, yet another question but this time throwing everyone on the island off guard also. Mitch bursts out laughing making Sarah playfully punch him to quiet him down.

"Mitchy, what's so funny?" Emily questions once again and he quickly replies with "nothing hun", letting Harry take the lead in answering her previous question.

"Did you write watermelon sugar because mommy eats watermelons a lot? Why don't you write a song about Pineapple, that's mommy favourite?" She asks again, making you cringe at your daughter mention your liking for pineapples.

It felt like she was throwing questions at Harry from left, right and centre, not giving him a break.

Harry looks over at you, silently begging you to help him.

"Yes daddy wrote watermelon sugar because I love watermelons. Ok that's enough now let's eat before the food gets cold!" You say and Emily smiles before nodding and going to eat, she was finally content with the answer.

"I think it's Harry who likes the watermelon sugar though E" Mitch whispers after the conversation had died out just to get on Harry's nerves. But luckily Emily didn't pay much attention as she was too busy munching into her lasagne to even care anymore. Ballet does tire and make you hungry out after all even if you're an energetic 5 year old.

Harry shoots him a "im so close to killing you" look and he chuckles before simmering down and continuing to eat him food that Harry prepared. After Dinner was over, you were all gathered in the living room, getting ready to watch Frozen, yet again, Mitch and Sarah still over as Emily was overly excited to show them her favourite character which was Olaf.

But nearly everyone knew Emily's obsession with Olaf by now, her room proved it. From the snowflake curtains to the Olaf bedding. She was a little fan girl in the making, much like her mother, Harry would say.

"Daddy?" Emily asked, well into the movie, she was cuddled in between you and Harry and you could feel Harry tense up, probably hoping this question wouldn't put him on the spot at all.

"Y-yes baby?" He asked, looking down at his daughter, although she loved putting her daddy on the spot he still loved her dearly, so he leans down to press a sweet kiss into her soft hair making you smile at their interaction.

"Yesterday when I was watching frozen, where did you and mommy go?" She asked, making Harry's cheek blush a bright pink colour, he was thankful for the decision yall made on leaving the lights off otherwise Mitch would not let him see the end of this. You gasp and Emily speaks up again, "what is it mommy?"

"Yh Harry and y/n, where did you two go off to?" Mitch asks, wiggling his eyebrows in a suggestive way as he tried his hardest to stifle a laugh. Sarah just shakes her head at his antics, getting tired of her childish lover.

"Um- we we were in the kitchen princess" you reply, hoping and praying she'd drop the conversation but she did spend most of her life with you and Harry meaning she picked up on your stubbornness.

"No you weren't, I went to get myself water and I didn't see you there" she argues back and you look over at Harry, hoping he has a better excuse.

"Oh no! Is Olaf melting? Quickly watch it Em, you'll miss it" Harry suddenly shouts out, changing your daughters focus from the question to the TV and thankfully she drops the conversation, too excited about watching her favourite character on the screen even if it was a sad scene.

You thank Harry silently and he sends a soft smile your way, trying his hardest to now stifle his own laughter as this whole interaction was indeed a little bit funny.

Once the movie was over, Mitch and Sarah decided it was best to get going so you and Harry walked them out as Emily held onto her dads hand.

"Ok then, we'll see you at the studio then, and I'll come over next Friday to see you, you little bugger" Mitch spoke as he bent down to slowly tickle at Emily's belly making her giggle.

"Bye guys, see you all soon" Sarah said as she gave all of you a hug and then helped Mitch get up.

Before they left, Mitch turns around again and you knew he was going to say something stupid.

"By the way guys, if you really want to give Emily a brother or sister, don't make them from a quickie. Just drop her off at mine and you two would be fine. I'd love having my favourite niece over" he chuckles and Harry rolls his eyes before shutting the door on him playfully but as he turns around he sees his daughters eyes piercing into him and he could practically see the clockwork turning in her brain and he knew there was yet another incoming question.

"Daddy?"

"Yessss princess"

"How are babys made?"

"I'm going to kill Mitch"
