Azami leaned against her comfortable chair by a coffee table in Nadain's head. She was looking forward watching the event unfold before her. Let her explain herself first though, she is not a jealous type. Not at all, if anything she wanted to display her belongings and rub it in everyone's face that they are unable to obtain what she has. She was currently trying to obtain what she needed.
Another piece of The Creator.
She had obtained the amulet from the zombie King from another world. She had gained a gem from the last world, and now Azami needed to make it work, the thing is that she had no idea how to. For the mean time this amulet looked like a piece of metal with a shiny metal rock in one of the slots, not at all looking like something powerful a god of creation carried around. So, what she had been thinking is that it needed a kind of power source. And to do that she must feel out the presence of The Creator's power.
Of course she's never met the bastard, in fact she's never heard anything about The Creator except for the gods name from Nelly her system. And the system itself didn't have any Intel, as if no one were allowed to know in the first place because they did not want to risk anything from the very beginning.
In following through her plan, Azami made her "jealousy" obvious so she can have Nadain enter this little room she created.
When Nadain was in her own mind she was lost, she didn't know what to do and the floating screen looking out into the world wasn't visible to her. So Nadain had no idea where she was when her vision turned black. She had panicked first, she was dead in some way but for some reason she knew she wasn't.
Looking around she saw a nice chair and a coffee table with some drinks and snacks. And saw some indication that someone was living there.
"Hello?" She called out, but no one answered.
To be suspected really, the only room was the open room she was currently in, no windows or door indicating that they were able to leave or come in from. Confused she began to look through piles of old books and found an odd-looking amulet. There was a carving on it, a circle was carved with a beautifully detailed star at the center at every point was empty looking circles.
There were eight of them, eight points to the start, eight circles, one red gem in one circle.
The room rumbled and for some reason she felt a force pushing her out, clutching the amulet tight in her hand she shut her eyes and the next thing she knew, she was on a chair with a very intimidating Demon General.
---
After being let go to do her own thing she was thinking back to what had happened in that weird space she was at. She didn't have the amulet in her hand, so she assumed that it was a dream? Baffled at what had happened a roar sounded from the other side of the camp. She grabbed at her sword and dashed forward; this was her chance to show everything that they were nothing compared to her.
Arriving at the commotion a huge beast swung at the demon soldiers in fury. Smiling Nadain bolted towards the beast and began swinging. It was monstrous in might, of course it wasn't her max since she was not able to train herself in single handed sword battles because of her now stumpy right hand. Looking at her missing hand she became enraged by the demon within her.
As her sword swung down to the beast, it side stepped and smashed her away with its long scaly tail.
The beast was known as Iron Blade Scales it's known for its... Iron Blade Scales ...
Tough as Iron that a blade can't cut through it because of how thick it is. And if by chance someone caches an iron Blade Scales the scales itself are super sharp, even hovering over by a centimeter would cut the flesh instantly. It walks on all fours and has claws as long as a grown adult arm. Legs and arms were huge and thick, and his body was slender to the point where it was a blur when it ran.
Overall, it was a deadly being.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING YOU IMBECILE?!" A shout came from all around as four demon knights crashed into Nadain and slammed her on to the floor even deeper than the Iron Blade Scales did.
In return she looked at them bewildered and terrified. Looking around she caught sight of Tonauac.
"General! Please help, your demons are hurting me! They are trying to kill me!" She pleaded in distress.
Tonauac went to her and pushed the men away, picked Nadain up and made sure she wasn't hurt. It wasn't worry for her wellbeing; his thought was that if she got hurt then Azami got hurt. But his actions only deepen the suspicion that Nadain had towards Tonauac. In her mind it confirmed he was in love with her.
"Don't harm her. And you." Tonauac turned a cold stare at her. "Don't go near Bora, she was just playing with the men before you decided to harm her."
"Bora?..." Nadain looked towards the Iron Blade Scale monster, as it sat down with a haughty attitude, glaring at the human who dare try to lay their blade on her. She hissed at Nadain who in turn flinched. "You tamed a beast?"
"She is a companion and travels with us in the carriage, you didn't see her before because she hates getting sand on her scales." The left soldier spoke up as he glared at the woman, wondering why his lord would help her get show no signs of affection right after.
"Yeah, she's very nice when you get to know her, but now that you tried harming her, she'll definitely not like you at all!" The right soldier huffed as he cleaned the dirt that had landed on Bora's tail when she swiped it at Nadain's direction.
In the end, she was scorned upon and rejected even further anyone could ever be rejected.
---
Nadain was left with hatred deep in her heart, this hatred was directed towards everyone except for the general, he was gentle even if he never smiled, she clearly knew that he cared for her very dearly since demons' care nothing but themselves. This left a warm feeling in her heart, and she was feeling loved for the very first time in an extraordinarily long time, she felt a sharp pain on her thigh. Rubbing the area, she found something hard in her pocket, reaching is she took out an amulet, the same amulet she found in that location.
Was this a type of relic? What was that place? Were the heaven's helping her find herself and get a stable footing in this rotten and dangerous world?
Whatever it was she was taking it, she needed every kind of help she can get. And that will also include the demon general, she will have him stand by her side and rule with her.
As their journey commenced Nadain was asking around where they were going, but no one was answering her, it was since she was a complete nuisance. But unfortunately, they were unable to retaliate against her because of the lord's command. Leaving her feeling lonely and alienated she held onto the amulet tightly as they traveled forward to their unknown destination.
After a full week of traveling, they were forced to stop because Nadain had bolted from their group. Alarmed their Lord ordered a section of their group to follow her, the group which was affiliated with precise hunting abilities.
Going after the human, Tonauac felt even more dissatisfied with this shitty person, how dare she keep someone dear to him locked up until the completion of their contract.
"My Lord." The commander, Galuth, spoke up as she gave a worried look. "Does something trouble you?"
"Azami is inside that retched thing." He grumbled.
Amazed at the answer Galuth rose a confused eyebrow. "Why not kill the human then?"
"Azami will perish as well. " His eyes darkened in depression.
"Lady Azami will not perish your majesty." She shook her head; in return she was given a look to explain quickly and get to the point. "I understand that not many demons have the ability to form contract anymore. And I had studied our ancient history. Even if the contracted is killed the only thing that will happen to the contractor is that they won't be able to eat."
"..." Realization processed through Tonauac's head, and he stood up and he declared. "Unit Black, Unit White, assist Unit Grey in killing the human, Unit Blue, stay back with the carriage!"
Hearing the orders of their lord everyone held a killing intent as they all dashed forward to kill the human as painfully as possible.
