Walking back to their destination, Elizabeth had been trying to grab the attention of Shawn as best she could, but not matter how many times she tried, Shawn didn't even glance at her direction or acknowledge her existence.

What the hell is wrong with this guy? Elizabeth thought to herself, then it came to her. He's the shy type, that's what it is! There is no way anyone isn't in love with me when they see me for the first time. What a cutie, alright, I'll make sure to pay extra attention to you then.

If Shawn had heard her thoughts, he would have curbed stopped her face to the point where not even her parents could identify her. But his only focus and thought was towards June, praying in his heart that he was unharmed, he knew June could take care of himself, but not being able to see him was a heart ache in itself.

They're close to the house now, but because of the annoying Elizabeth they had attracted the attention of another monster.

"Stop, there's one to our right, hold your ground." Avery commanded and he now stood next to Shawn. "I'll go for his legs, Shawn, you shoot for its head."

Shawn nodded and both reacted when the monster lunged at them, but what he didnt predict was for Elizabeth to cling to him.

"I'm scared!" She cried and whined in fear. "Don't leave me!"

Avery was regretting bringing the girl along.

The monster was about to decapitate Shawn, in a fluid motion he grabbed the girl and faced her towards the monster, but before the monster could kill her the monster's head was blown away. Brain matter and blood splattered all over Elizabeth and she screamed in horror. Her screams were so loud that Shawn pistol whipped her to knock her out.

"Was that necessary?" June's voice sounded from in front of the three.

"She's going to attract another one." Shawn looked away without shame as June come over and patted his shoulder with a sigh.

"Shes still a girl." June tried hiding his smile. "So, who is she?"

"Her name is Elizabeth, we met her at the gas station. She wanted to come with us, I didn't know she was going to be a liability, sorry." Avery chimed in with a look of regret.

"Don't be sorry, we need to help anyone we come across." June reasoned as they all started to head back to the house, Avery carrying Elizabeth like a sack of potatoes.

The next day had been a complete shit show, Elizabeth had woken up with a ranging headache and her eyes soon saw a young man walking into the room she was in.

"Where is this? Where am I?" She asked with a suspicious look towards the young man.

"Don't panic, and keep your voice low this time, we don't want any more monsters attacking us, that was really reckless of you." The young man sighed as he set down a bottled water next to her. "My name is June; you met our scavengers yesterday and decided to tag along."

"I want to speak with Shawn, he's the only man I trust!" She said with a glare at June.

"Even after her tossed you to the monsters? What a dumb bitch." Snickered a woman that was leaning by the door frame.

"What?" She didn't remember what had happened before her vision turned dark.

"Shawn threw you to the monster cuz you were clinging to him like a leech, but June here saved your dog ass." She gothic girl said with a sneer. "Then you decided to scream like a fucking banshee, and he pistol whipped you to shut up."

"This is Casket." June said, then turned his head to Casket. "What's with all the cussing, go look after the kids, make sure they're not doing anything they're not supposed to."
