Eating until they were filled, both Karim and Déwei were summoned towards the ballroom. Karim held a proud and cocky attitude as his head was held high; his tail swayed lazily. On the other hand, Déwei seemed to be on cloud nine as he could feel the panther beside him rub its tail ever so often against his leg.
“Presenting crown prince Déwei, and his protector Karim.” The announcing eunuch spoke loud and clear, all of the Noble families turned to the gorgeous man with beautiful silver hair, right beside him walked a panther which looked at them as if they were nothing in its eyes. The golden eyes that would land on the master of the families would make the men shudder and feel as if a huge knife was pressed against their throats.
“Come my son, I shall begin the decree.” The King seemed to be buttering up the crown prince for some reason.
Either he didn’t care or didn’t really pay attention, crown prince Déwei sat onto his throne beside his father, the concubine was nowhere to be seen. And as the rest expected the panther to sit beside the prince on the floor, they were shocked to see the panther leap onto his lap and sit as if he’d done so for so many years.
“Crown prince Déwei, if you could please order your protector to sit on the floor.” The eunuch asked kindly. “It is not appropriate when hearing a decree.”
“You tell him.” Déwei has the eunuch a look as if he wasn’t worth his time.
“Of course.” The eunuch looked down and with a shacking voice said. “Protector Karim, if you could please-“
Before he could order the beautiful panther, Karim hissed and swiped at the eunuch. He soon possessed four deep cuts across his face. Screaming in agony, a guard knocked the eunuch unconscious and dragged him out to not disturb the event any further.
“Let us begin, eunuch Mo, write this down.” King Sying said as he ignored the gruesome scene and tried to forget about it. He rose up and declared. “I here on forth decree that I will abdicate my throne to my first son, crown prince Déwei.”
Commotion broke out at such an absurd decree, not only was the King not ill or old to step down, but he’s also giving it to a twenty-one year old child that only knows war and destruction. Some were even about to snap at the crown prince, but they all quickly stopped when the panther sitting on his lap suddenly roared in irritation.
“I’d suggest you quiet down, Karim hates loud noises.” Déwei said nonchalantly as he scratched the back of Karim’s head.
Mikhail stood up; he had come early last year when he confirmed that Uruvo Kingdom was going to betray them. So, he hurried forth and gave his report. All the meanwhile, he waited for his sister to come back. He couldn’t stop the feeling that the panther the crown prince possessed was his own, but without a collar. But it had to be false. No panther could survive an unlocking of a collar without its master. So, he moved the thought to the back of his head and looked on at the situation with a frown.
“King Sying. What is the meaning of this?” Mikhail said with a look of confusion. “Stepping down so early is unwise, the crown prince doesn’t have enough experience in politics to take over the throne yet.”
“I suggest you watch your mouth sir Mikhail. You might be our hero, but that doesn’t give you rights to my decision as King.” King Sying glared at the hero before him. This fool will be the end of me, shut your mouth already!
But unfortunately, the Hero continued. “And I honor your words King Sying, but I know for a fact that I speak for all the civilians of Uruvu that we will perish under the ruling of crown prince Déwei if he were to take the throne so early.”
Karim was bored out of his mind, he hated politic the most, he can remember when he had met all types of Kings. A puppet king, a head figure, an evil king, a demon king. There were too many Kings he had taken a role in, so he perfectly understood the amount of work that’s put in to have the citizens respect him.
Of course, there was something deeper to this decree that no one could see. Anyone that wasn’t too keen on the royal bloodbath of the castle walls.
Especially when it comes to the king himself. When they had come to this exact day, Karim was well notified that his brother would be coming tomorrow. There shall be a huge revelation to her arrival, but for the meantime the King shall be stepping down for the illegal ruling he had done, especially using the heroes. That’s what the book given to King Sying by Déwei was about. It had listed all his wrongdoings and highlighted the slave trafficking that he had under the black market. It comes to show that the more powerful one is, the better they are to hide their evil. And Karim should know. He had taken over evil figures multiple times to understand such a motion. So, as a result, Déwei gave the King two options. Either step down as King or be hanged by the heroes that he had personally raised as his weapons after destroying their village.
It’s clear to see what you are thinking. There is no multiple slave trafficking. Only one. That it was indeed the King who had a shadowed hand turning the reins. “We oppose this your royal highness, if Crown Prince Déwei takes the throne early, we shall resign from our positions.” A group of men that held authority in court and the kingdoms finances stood up as a protest.
“Go ahead, I can replace any of you with someone more competent and loyal to the Kingdom.” Déwei waved his hand with a smirk directed at the fool.
Hearing that they could be replaced easily, the one that spoke up did not stop standing but with the rest of his supporters who slowly sat down in shame and fear of not wanting to lose their power and influence the last sat down with a bitter look.
“Does anyone else have any foolish objections?” King Sying looked around a room and an older man soon stood up, adjusting his glasses he turned towards Déwei.
“A question for our future King.” The old man cleared his throat and continued with permission from Déwei. “Should a revolt happen by you taking over the throne, what will you do?”
The man’s head rolled to the floor once he finished. A deathly silence suffocated the room, and everyone looked towards the young King. “Does that answer your question?”
Déwei had signaled one of his hidden Knights to slice of the head of such a fool to say something very bold, he had assumed the crown prince would not do anything In front of so many people, but in fact he did. “Anything else?”
With a lazed yawn, Karim laid down onto Déwei’s lap, he was big for the prince but in panther size quite small.
“Tired?” The prince gave a soothing caress down the Panther’s spine.
“Very. All this talking is boring.” Karim agreed as he looked on at the hero Mikhail.
This didn’t sit well with Déwei, that pretend hero is getting the attention of Karim and he wasn’t about to stand it. Seeing the crown prince looking irritated, King Sying concluded the decree. “Enough. Anyone who disagrees will be taken as treason and hanged for their crimes.” He huffed. “His coronation shall be tomorrow, I expect everyone to have their attitudes fixed, or there will be consequences.”
-
“That was much more boring than I had thought.” Karim shifted into his human form, and as if an everyday occurrence there was a cloak over his body, Déwei sighed at his oblivious lover.
“Can’t you do anything about your naked figure?” Déwei scowled. “It’s not that I mind, I’d rather have you naked in front of me all day, but I can’t risk having others see you like this, if they did, I’ll have to kill them and then punish you in return.”
“I can shift with clothes on, but I find it uncomfortable when wearing human clothing… Punish me?” Karim turned towards the prince as he shrugged off the cloak. “How can a little human punish me?” He didn’t know how their relationship had come to such a stage.
It felt like a blur, especially on that beautiful day where they held a picnic, they were halfway through their travel when they did another pit stop once they came across a hidden flower field in a dense forest filled with poisonous air. Stopping at the center where it was slightly elevated by a hill, Karim was about to sit down when Déwei stopped him.
“I don’t want you sitting on the poisoned ground, one moment.” Déwei retrieved a few things from a rare special ring and suddenly they were sitting on a silver cushioned chair on top of a blanket and various sweets and drinks sat on top of a beautiful carved table.
“The ground would have been better.” Karim said bluntly, instantly regretting when he saw Déwei’s eyes slightly dim.
[Master, this soul is fragile with its feelings when it comes to you, maybe compliment him slightly?] The system popped in when it wasn’t needed by Karim but dearly by the eyes upon them.
“But that’s only in my original form, sitting down is good too once in a while.” He wasn’t so sure why he listened to the system when he had vowed to himself he would never listen to it again, but when it came to this soul he had forgotten that vow instantly.
In an instant Déwei’s eyes lit up as he gave a small smile, and they began to eat their desserts.
“Why do you keep staring at me?” Karim had enough of the burning gaze.
“You’re beautiful.” Déwei said without missing a beat.
“I’m not a woman.” Karim said as if Déwei didn’t know what he was talking about.
“You transcend women, any compliment pertaining to women and men suit you as well.” Déwei held a small blush on his pale skin.
“You’re always saying such empty words-“ Before Karim could continue telling Déwei that he was nothing but a liar, the table was thrown across the small field and both now lay on the blanket bellow them.
“Why do you always think I’m lying, did we not already settle this a while ago?” He was angry, Karim had never witnessed Déwei man, but he wasn’t just angry or mad, he was infuriated. “Do you not understand that I love you? Can you not get it through your thick skull that when I compliment you, I say it through my heart and not my mouth?! The sun alone cannot hold the brightness you shine when you are in front of me.”
“Alright I get it-“
“You don’t! That’s the problem, you never believe in what I say when I tell you something, what can I do to make you believe in me?”
“There isn’t anything that you can do, It’s simply something that I have already known, I can never be loved, I can’t be someone you cherish or need, in the end you too shall leave me behind.”
“You’re such an idiot.” Déwei insulted.
“Excuse me?” It was Karim’s turn to be infuriated. “Who are you to call me a-“
“Shut up.” Déwei cut off Karim as he gave a tender kiss, which soon turned heated. And the next Déwei had pounced at him. Their relationship had become smooth sailing from there. It was odd, sure, he was the dominant and Déwei submitted to him, but that was when they weren’t in bed. When out and about, Karim would order and command Déwei like a slave.
He had waited for Déwei to snap at him and break it off, but it never happened. It never occurred, so instead he decided to speak up.
Why?
Why didn’t he stop him? Why didn’t he stand up for himself. A simple reply made him blush and huff. Leaving the prince for an entire week.
“For you I’d do anything, if you never return my feelings, I will always stay by your side.” He spoke, but his face quickly turned dark. “But if you try to look at another man I’ll end their very existence.”
Of course, throughout the week he had left the prince, there were hidden knights following him. They would have gone unnoticed by him if he was a normal soul in the world, but he wasn’t.
Déwei looked with darkened eyes. They filled with an emotion Karim wasn’t too familiar with.
Undying Love.
It was terrifying. Such strong and potent feelings made him uncomfortable. Yet just looking into those eyes made him want to drown in them, made him become hot with desire, and soak up every bit of the man before him.
So he let go of everything.
He let go of his hatred for The Creator. He let go for the revenge burning through his veins. And decided to treat himself with this soul before him, but only just for this world.
Before he knew it, they were on the bed, Déwei’s clothes were off and probably on the floor. Their hot tongues massaging each other’s as erotic moans escaped Karim’s lips when the hands of Déwei rubbed both of their little guys together with need.
“Ah~!” Karim gasped suddenly as a finger lathered with unforeseen oils entered him from behind.
They continued their lustful desires until the midday sun rested, and the moon took its place high up into the night sky.
