Chapter 91 Additional Growth

This world could have been saved the moment June had gotten his hands on the mind control device. But with his plans of ruining the original plan he decided against it. He had been busy planning the end of the world, of course, that meant going through with the plan that the original villain Brian was trying to carry out, only to be foiled by the female and male lead.

In his plan though, he was going to desolate the entire world with as few casualties as possible, and that was with the help of the mind control device he had. What the others didn't know is that in the room that he and Shawn were staying in, there was a secret entrance that led deeper into the base. Within those lower levels, he had chosen a room where he could amplify the wavelengths to affect all over the world, but for him to be able to do that, he needed to connect to a satellite. Due to the current base he was in the radio antenna was not enough. June has set up the device to the antenna where every time Casket would announce any survivors; the device would notify the monsters to destroy military bases except for the one they were located at.

And if his plan went smoothly, then the current active military bases would take notice of the oddity that the base June is at never gets attacked. And in turn would head to him, once high ranked military personnel took control of their base then June would be free to go about his role as a normal civilian, and once the truth is revealed, then he would place all the blame on the military for orchestrating the demise of the world. As human nature would prove countless times, the people involved would be dealt with.

And if push comes to shove, and everything goes wrong, he would just kill everyone and be done with the world. There's nothing more assertive and set to stone with a good old world domination and ruling the world with Shawn. Just thinking about it makes him want to do plan B already, but he will hold himself back.

After a full week passed, the group made their temporary home more comfortable by securing the area and using the underground entrance as their living space. The only way to come in and out was through the broken entrance. All they did was set up a proper door and take extra measures with their man-made alarm system around their base.

As they fixed up the radio, Casket announced to anyone available that the base was safe and that they would help anyone who came their way. Sure, they were worried that trouble might come their way, but their minds settled since a few of them in their group were very efficient with weapons. Their daily lives consisted of checking their equipment and the surrounding areas in case people did start showing up.

Rocky made sure rations were okay and if they did end up having less, Shawn and Avery would go out to get more food. While Rocky finished his calculations Casket suddenly showed up.

That's odd, normally she's making announcements. Rocky thought as he smiled at Casket. "Hey, what's up?"

"Hey to you too, I already informed June, but he said to let you know too since you are in charge of the food." Casket began with her own friendly smile. "Few people responded to me through the radio and are heading here now, there's six of them, can you calculate the food intake for them please?"

"Sure, no problem." Rocky nodded with a thumbs up. 

"Thanks-"

"What's this? I'm not crashing the party am I?" A voice irritated Casket and with a quick thinking she replied with:

"Glad you see what your presence offers." She glared at Elizabeth.

And just like that they started arguing.

"The way you two argue makes me think that you two are screwing secretly," Rocky says with a sigh, and then sudden silence engulfs the warehouse. Rocky opened his eyes and saw that both women were looking at him with red faces, not from rage, but it looked like they were both caught having an affair. "OMG"

June and Shawn were having their moment, they looked at each other in silence at times, and then moved to light kisses and giggles would erupt from June as Shawn lined June's ear with light soft kisses.

"Why don't you question what I do?" June suddenly spoke once their lips parted from each other.

Shawn keeps quiet, thinking of a way how to phrase it. "There is something inside that tells me that everything you do is for a reason and to just follow and protect you. I know you have your plans, the only thing that worries me is that your plan won't include me."

"Won't include you?" June smiled. "At the end of all of this, you are the only one left." June smiled tenderly as someone suddenly barged into the room.

"Casket and Elizabeth are fucking!" Rocky shouted with a wicked grin and a flushed face from running to the room Shawn and June were occupying.

As he did so, two women tackled the ginger to the floor with rage. But all three of them froze as they saw the two men in bed naked with a blanket over them as the two cuddled.

"You two are gay?!" Two shouted in unison while Casket looked at them.

"It was obvious to me, you two are just slow." Casket sighed at the idiots.

"The world is going to shit, and the three of you are worried that we're gay?" June raised an eyebrow at the idiots.

"No wonder my advances didn't work tch." Elizabeth clicked her tongue as she looked towards Shawn with disappointment.

With the drama over, everyone returned to their duties and waited for the new member of their group to arrive.

Originally the group was supposed to include Brian, but because June had collected him before anyone else could, the group arrived with goodwill. The group consisted of three men two women and another child.

"Thank you for letting us stay here, we had nowhere to go, everywhere is so dangerous, but oddly enough, as we headed here there were no monsters." A woman who seemed to be the leader of their group shook hands with June, thanking him for his generosity.

"No problem, the more people we have the more of a change we can win back our world from those monsters." June smiled softly, gaining a blush from the middle-aged woman. "Go to the warehouse, you'll meet Rocky and Brian there, the two are in charge of the duties that need to be done around the base. Let me know if you need anything, I'll be in the radio room with Casket trying to contact other military bases."

"Of course, thank you again!" The woman said with glee as he led her group to the warehouse.

*A/N: Hey everyone, during the time of editing all the chapters time and time again, I accidentally erased most of my notes, I was able to restore most of them except for the amount of crystal our Main Character has been able to collect this time. So if I was able to count properly, he would have 5 collected up to this chapter, and if not, let me know!
