The elevator sounded with a ding as they arrived on the twenty-third floor. The children looked as though they were about to throw up, given how nervous they looked. Who knows what is about to happen? What if their mother doesn't remember them? In the scenario where he doesn't, does that mean they will have to wait and follow their mother to the next world and find a way to jog his memories there? And what if the world is another failure? How long would it take them? How many would they have to go through?

Just thinking about the negatives made them want to kidnap their mother and find a way by force. But they couldn't believe that way; it was too mainstream, and what if he never regains his memories and deems them enemies for all eternity?

"Take a deep breath, whatever all of you are thinking is not going to happen. Have you ever thought of your mother forgetting any of you? The way he raised you is something neither of us could ever forget." Haiven piped up after the atmosphere began to feel gloomy.

"Welcome, dear guests, Master Uriel is through the first double doors." The woman from before motioned them to the correct door. They nodded in thanks and began their trek to their mother.

-_-

Uriel muttered under his breath as he began to track his laptop. There was no way he would let a single person find out what was inside. Over his rotting corpse, because even in death, he will have it buried with him.

Jasmine stood by the door with a nervous look; she felt disappointed in herself for everything that had happened. How could she have been so gullible? Her train of thought seemed to break when she saw something from the corner of her eye. Turning her head, she saw the elevator door open through the glass walls that stood behind her. A group of very otherworldly handsome men and a goddess-like woman walked towards them.

I thought Uriel stated that no one should bother us? She thought with wonder.

She looked back at Uriel and excused herself to meet the group. Closing the door behind her, the group met Jasmine with intensity. "Hi, can I help you?"

"Hi, we are friends of Uriel." Kayan spoke up and became the de facto leader of the group due to his quick thinking.

"Friends?" Jasmine looked confused; she had never met them in her life. She didn't want to toot her own horn, but she is proud to say that she was someone very close to Uriel, so close that she met every single person that he has come to know. She was his childhood friend; their families were very well known to one another, and if it weren't for the fact that she and Uriel saw each other like family, their families would have already arranged a wedding between them.

She hardened her eyes; this was her chance to make up for her mistake with the laptop. These impostors were posing as Uriel's friends.

"You're friends with Uriel?" She decided to play along; she might seem like a pushover, but she knew that no one would ever win against her. "How long ago have you all met Uriel? I've never heard about all of you from him."

"We met about a week ago in an outing, he suggested for us to swing by later today at the office to show us something," Kayan said without missing a beat, but a stifled laugh from Jasmine made him look at her, confused. "What's so funny?"

"I'm sorry, but I have never heard of Uriel going to an outing, and if he said for you to meet him here today, then he must see the future because we came here at random due to certain circumstances. So let me ask you once more, who are you?" Jasmine wiped the amused look on her face and stared at Kayan with such a burning gaze that something within Satar, who was standing at the back of the group, stirred with curiosity.

"Sorry, but we need to speak with him; he's the only one who would be able to understand." Satar took over the conversation.

"I'll ask him-" Before she could open the door, the back of her neck was struck, knocking her unconscious. The siblings all turned to Kokab, the cute little girl looked annoyed.

"We don't have time for this. A sneak attack is best in this situation. If we let her alert Mama, then our attack would fail." Her voice sounded with reason as everyone nodded and focused on the mission ahead.

Getting their mother's memories back.

Opening the door quietly, the one who decided to do the job was Satar, as he was the oldest and most talented in stealth. In his hand was a table they had picked from the hall they were in. Not the most unconventional, but the goal was to strike their mother and jog his memories, what is better than solid wood against the head?

As he grew closer and closer to his mother, he held his breath and raised the table, aiming at the center of his mother's head. Nelli wasn't exactly specific about where they would need to hit, but logically speaking, it would be the head, wouldn't it?

"Huh?" Uriel felt odd, and as he turned, he looked back just as a table came down on his head. With quick reflexes, he dodged and looked at the crowd, bewildered. "It's you freaks!"

With the plan failing, they all attacked, except for their father, who stood at the back watching his foolish children. Satar struck once more, but like an agile cat, Uriel dodged and was about to counter when Kokab came with tears running down her cheeks as if she didn't want to hurt him but needed to. A quick jab to her side, Kokab toppled over with a grunt, and Kayan appeared from behind her, coming in with a fist to Uriel's face. Again, it had failed, Uriel grabbed his wrist, and with the moment Kayan had used to lunge at Uriel, was flung behind him to crash against Behrouz, who was trying also to flank him from the back.

After a couple of minutes had passed, all of the children lay on the floor with pain on their faces. He turned with his breath winded as he looked straight into the man's eyes, who was standing calmly to the side. A familiar feeling crossed his head, but he shook it off.

"Well? Let's get this over with, I have something else to do." Uriel raised his fists and waited for Havien to come forward.

"Mama." Kokab looked hurt, which in turn startled Uriel. Why did he feel odd when looking at such a face?

At this point, Havien looked at Kokab, who was about to cry. Not wanting his little girl to feel even more hopeless like the rest of them are probably also feeling, he decided to speak up. "All of you will have to stand back and let Dad do the work."

"Oh? And what are you going to do?" Uriel felt amusement and excitement course through his body. The cold blue eyes that the man held turned warm as he stared at Uriel. This stare sent a thrill through Uriel, as if he somehow knew the man wouldn't hurt him, but instead wanted to see what he would do.

Walking elegantly towards Uriel, Havien stopped right in front of him and leaned down. Uriel pulled away, startled, but didn't push the hand that was raising away. Haviel placed his hand on Uriel's cheeks and guided it to him. Slowly, a pair of lips connected softly.

At first Uriel was going to bite his lips, but all o fhis insticts told him not to, and give in. And as if he were a princess, Uriel let the gorgeous man kiss him and soon, his head hurt. It was such an intense pain that everything turned black.

He had passed out.
