Chapter Fourteen

Rosalie’s P.O.V
It was another day and the First Task was just around the corner and I went to look for Harry and Edeline only to find Professor Moody fooling around with a Ferret and I rushed over along with Professor McGonagall, “Professor Moody. What are you doing?” Professor McGonagall asked him as he continued, “teaching.” he said to her, “is that a- is that a student?” she asked, “Technically, it’s a Ferret.” he told her and I laughed a little before Professor Moody had put the Ferret in another students pants and I continued to laugh a little before Professor McGonagall looked at me and I stopped laughing before she managed to turn the Ferret back and saw that it was Malfoy, “my father will hear about this.” Malfoy said to Professor Moody, “is that a threat? Is that a Threat?” Professor Moody asked him as he tried to chase Malfoy and Professor McGonagall tried to get his attention as well before she managed to do so, “Alastor, we do not use Transfiguration as a punishment. Surely Dumbledore told you that.” Professor McGonagall told him, “he might have mentioned it.” he said to her, “well, you will do well to remember it.” she said to him before she had gotten the other students to leave, “you don’t mind if I have a talk with your daughter and Harry do you?” Professor Moody asked me, “yeah of course.” I said to him before I watched them walk away and I let out a sigh as I only agreed as she would be with Harry and that I didn’t want her going alone and I eventually went on with my day as I helped with some of the other teachers with certain things ike grading papers and demonstrating things. Later that night, I went looking for Edeline to see how she was doing until we eventually bumped into each other, “I have to tell you something.” she said to me and we both walked to my room to talk, “what is it then dear?” I asked her, “Dragons. That’s the First Task.” she said, “do you have to fight them or something or is it something else?” I asked her, “I doubt we have to fight them but Harry told me that he had gone with Hagrid the night before and saw them.” She told me and I sat down, “Dragons are brutal, especially Mother Dragons around their eggs.” I told her and she nodded, “I know mum, I’ll be fine though and so will Harry. We both have each other’s backs.” she told me and I smiled a little, “I know you do, it’s just, I don’t want you getting hurt during this Tournament alright so I want you both to be careful and so would your father, do you understand and be mindful and watchful of your surroundings as well.” I said to her and she nodded, “I will, I promise.” she said and I hugged her, “I love you so much.” I said to her as she hugged me back, “I love you mum.” she said before I had managed to make the both of us some tea and Harry had come along as well and I helped them with some of their homework for a while before they had left and done their own thing for the rest of the day as eventually, I helped both Harry and Edeline about what to know about Dragons and what some of their traits are as some can be extremely dangerous and others, a lot less then dangerous.

Edeline’s P.O.V
It was finally the day of the First Task and both Harry and I along with the rest of the Champions were in a tent together as I heard Dumbledore talk to the large crowd outside, “how are you feeling?” I asked Harry, “Nervous I guess. How about you?” he said, “could be better I suppose.” I told him before we heard something from outside the tent and heard Hermione speak up, “Harry. Edeline, is that you?” she asked us, “yeah.” we both said to her, “how are you feeling? ok?” she asked us, “feeling scared out of my mind for bloody sake.” I told her, “the key is to concentrate. After that, you just have to-” she began to say before Harry spoke up, “Battle a dragon.” he said to her before she hugged Harry and before she was about to hug me, we saw a flash and saw that it was from Reta Skeeter, “young love. How Stirring. If everything goes unfortunately today, you may even make the front page.” she said to Harry and Hermione, “you have no business here. This tent is for Champions and friends.” Viktor said to her, “No matter. We’ve got what we wanted” Reta said to him before walking away before another picture was taken soon before Dumbledore and the others walked into the tent, “good day Champions. Gather around, please.” he said to us and we had done so, “now, you’ve waited, you’ve wondered, and at last the moment has arrived. A moment only five of you can fully appreciate.” he said to us before he noticed Hermione, “what are you doing here Miss. Granger?” Dumbledore asked her, “oh um. Sorry I'll just go.” she said before leaving the tent, “Barty, the bag.” Dumbledore said before Barty walked up with a bag in his hands, “Champions, in a circle around me. Miss. Delacour, over here. Mr. Krum.  and Mr. Potter over here.” Mr. Crouch said as I stood next to Harry and Cedric before he continued, “Miss. Delacour, if you will.” Mr. Crouch said before she stuck her hand in the back before pulling out a Dragon, “the Welsh Green. Miss. Lupin your turn.” he said as he turned to me and I had done the same pulling out another Dragon, “the Ukrainian Ironbelly.” he said as I held it in my hand as Mr. Crouch went to the next person, “Mr. Krum. the Chinese Firebolt.” he said to him after he had taken out the dragon before going to Cedric as he had done the same, “the Swedish Short-Snout. Which leaves-” Mr. Crouch said as he had now gone to Harry, “the Horntail'' I heard him whisper, “what’s that boy?” Mr. Crouch asked, “nothing,” Harry said before pulling out the dragon, “the Hungarian Horntail. These represent Five very real dragons, each of which has been given a golden egg to protect. Your objective is simple, collect the egg. This you must do, for each egg contains a clue without which you cannot hope to proceed to the next task. Any questions?” Mr. Crouch said to us but no one said anything after that before Dumbledore spoke up, “very well. Good luck Champions. Mr. Diggory, at the sound of the Cannon you may-” Dumbledore said before the cannon went off and he was the first to go, “Miss. Lupin, you will be going after Mr. Diggory, alright.” Dumbledore said and I just nodded as I waited for my turn and the entire time I walked back and forth as I waited for my turn.
