Chapter Thirty Seven

Rosalie’s P.O.V
It was another day and I was in the Astronomy Tower with Snape and Dumbledore after Dumbledore had requested both Edeline and Harry and the three of us were talking about what Dumbledore was doing as Snape began to say what was on his mind about it all, “Have you ever considered that you ask too much, That you take too much for granted? Has it ever crossed your brilliant mind that I don’t want to do this anymore?” Snape asked him, “whether it has or hasn’t is irrelevant. I will not negotiate with you Severus and the same goes for you as well Rosalie. You agreed, there’s nothing more to discuss.” Dumbledore said before Snape walked away, “what is it exactly you had him do?” I asked him, “we found out that Draco Malfoy was Ordered to kill me and instead of him doing it, I’ve asked Severus to do it instead. I also know that your daughter loves him but I suggest you keep her away from him for her sake and for yours and Remus's. '' he told me and I said nothing but nodded before we noticed Harry and Edeline walk up to us, “oh Harry, Edeline. You need A shave my friend and your hair has gotten rather long.” Dumbledore said to the both of them before he continued, “you know, at times I forget how much the both of you have grown. At times I still see the small boy and girl from the cupboard and cottage. Forgive me Harry and Edeline, I’m an old man.” he told them, “you still look the same to me sir.” Harry told him, “you have changed at all sir.” Edeline said to him, “just like your mothers, you’re both unfailingly kind. A trait people never fail to undervalue I’m afraid. The place to which we journey tonight is extremely dangerous. I promise that the both of you would accompany me and I stand by that promise. But there is one condition, you both must obey every command I give you without question.” Dumbledore told them, “yes sir.” they both said to him, “you both do understand what I’m saying? Should I tell you to hide, you hide. Should I tell you to run, you run. Should I tell you to abandon me and save yourselves, you both must do so. You word Harry and Edeline.” Dumbledore said to them, “our word.” they both said to him, “take my arm.” Dumbledore said to them, “sir, I thought you couldn’t Apparate within Hogwarts.” Harry mentioned, “and you forget that he’s the Headmaster.” Edeline said to him and I chuckled a little, “she’s right, being me has its privileges. And Rosalie, would you wait here for when we come back?” he said and I nodded before Harry and Edeline grabbed Dumbledore’s army before they Aparated and all I can do now is wait for them to come back and the entire time, I paced back in forth with worry the entire time.

Edeline’s P.O.V
The three of us eventually made it to where we needed to be, causing us to stand on a rock in the middle of the Ocean as we looked at what was in front of us before we managed to make it inside the cave, “this is the place. Oh yes, this place has known Magic.” Dumbledore said before seeing that he was holding a knife before cutting his hand, “sir.” Harry tried saying before Dumbledore cut him off, “in order to gain passage, payment must be made. Payment intended to weaken any intruder.” Dumbledore told us, “you should have let one of us sir.” Harry told him, “oh no Harry. Your blood and hers is much more precious than mine.” Dumbledore said to us before doing what he needed to do before something happened before we walked through the entryway as we used our wands for light, “Voldemort would not have made it easy to discover his hiding place. He would put certain defenses in position.” Dumbledore told us before sending a small ball of light before it stopped as if it found something as it got brighter, “there it is. The only question is, how do we get there?” Dumbledore said before he got closer to the water and managed to do something as he brought a chain out from the water, “would you Harry and Edeline?” he asked us as he gave Harry and I the chain and started pulling something only for it to be a boat as we brought it towards us before the three of us got on it and went towards the light Dumbledore had sent off before making it to where we needed to be and managed to be careful as we got off the boat before seeing a small bowl in the middle, “do you think the Horcrux is in there sir?” Harry asked him, “oh yes” he said, “it looks like it’s protected by something.” I said to them when Dumbledore brought his fingers to it, “it has to be drunk. All of it has to be drunk. You both  remember the conditions on which I brought you with me? This potion might paralyze me, might make me forget why I'm here. It might cause me so much pain that I beg for relief. You both are not to indulge in these requests, it’s your job to make sure that I keep drinking this Potion, even if you have to force it down my throat. Understood?” he said to us, “why can’t one of us drink it sir?” Harry asked him, “he’s right sir.” I said to him, “because I’m much older. Much cleverer and much less valuable. You both have good health Harry and Edeline.” Dumbledore said before taking the first drink of it only to do something to him, causing him to fall to the ground, “Professor, can you hear me?” Harry asked, “we should just do what he says Harry. We have no choice.” I told him not knowing what else to do

After a while, we managed to make it to the bottom of the bowl only to see a locket, “is that it?” I asked Harry as he took it, “I think so. It has to be.” he said to be, “you did it sir, look.” Harry said to Dumbledore, “Harry. Edeline, water.” Dumbledore said to us, “hurry.” I said to him as I stayed with Dumbledore to make sure that he was alright before I saw that Harry had noticed something, “Harry what are you doing?” I asked him, “see if I can get water from down here.” He said before the light went out, “Lumos.” Both Harry and I said as the ends of our wands lit up before something happened, “what’s going on?” I asked him, “I don’t know. Something grabbed my hand.” he said as he walked back before something started climbing out of the water, “bloody hell. We need to do something quick.” I said to him, “Lumos Maxima.” Harry said before we eventually started fighting these things off before Harry and were both dragged into the water and continued to fight them off before seeing something from the surface before we managed to get there and saw that Dumbledore was the one doing it all as we made it back to him before he managed to make a path through the fire before the three of us managed to make it out of the cave before making it back to the Astronomy Tower. 

Rosalie’s P.O.V
It was starting to get dark outside and my worry grew the longer Harry, Dumbledore and Edeline were gone only for them to finally Apparate back as both Harry and Edeline were helping Dumbledore, “we need to get you to the Hospital Wing sir. To Madam Pomfrey.” Harry said to him before sitting him down, “what happened?” I asked with worry, “no. Severus. Severus is who I need. Wake him, both of you. Tell him what happened. Speak to no one else. Severus.” Dumbledore said to them and just as they were about to walk down the stairs, we all heard a noise, “hide yourselves below Harry and Edeline. Don’t speak or be seen by anybody without my permission. Whatever happenes, you must stay below . Harry and Edeline, do as I say and Rosalie, I want you to go with them and keep them with you no matter what happens, do you understand?” he said to us and I nodded, “but what about you?” I asked him, “don’t worry about me just go down below.” he said and eventually did as he said before taking Harry and Edeline down with me as we hid and watched from below before seeing Draco and I looked at Edeline before holding her close to me, “good evening Draco. What brings you here on this fine spring evening?” Dumbledore asked him, “who else is here? I heard you talking.” Draco asked him, “I often talk aloud to myself. I find it extraordinarily useful. Have you been whispering to yourself Draco? Draco, you are no assassin.” Dumbledore told Draco, “how do you know what I am? I’ve done things that would shock you.” Draco said to him, “or like cursing Katie Bell in hoping that in return she’d bear a curse necklace to me. Like replacing a bottle mee with one laced with poison. Forgive me Draco, I cannot help feeling these actions are so weak that your effort had hardly been in them.” Dumbledore told Draco, “he trusts me. I was chosen.” Draco said before revealing something on his arm and I managed to get a glimpse of it as well before I felt Edeline hold onto me tighter and I looked down to see that she was trying to hold in a sob and I tried to comfort her as best I could as we continued to listen, “I shall make it easy for you” Dumbledore said before Draco disarmed him, “very good, very good. You’re not alone? There are other? how?” Dumbledore said after we heard the door open and I soon took out my wand and so did Edeline, “the Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement. I’ve been mending it.” Draco told Dumbledore, “let me guess, it has a sister? A twin?” Dumbledore asked, “in Borgin and Burkes, they form a passage.” Draco told him, “ingenious, Draco years ago I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please let me help you.” Dumbledore said to him, “I don’t want your help. Don’t you understand, I have to do this. I have to kill you or he’s going to kill me and her and I can’t lose her when I just got her.” Draco said to him and I looked at Edeline to see tears running down her face and I hugged her as we heard footsteps rushing up the stairs before hearing a certain one’s voice, “well, look what we have here.” she said, “good evening Bellatrix.” Dumbledore said, confirming my guess and I froze in place not knowing what to do at that very moment.
